Kennedy Fox has stepped up their "slow burn" game with this one!!!! Archer Boone has just completed a five year prison for a murder he didn't commit. Having been cell mates and becoming best friends with Tyler, Archer accepts his invitation to go live in Lawton Ridge to work at Tyler's gym and tells him he can stay at his sister, Everleigh's house. Tyler gives him a run down on her and makes it very clear that she is off limits, more for Archer's protection than Everleigh's. What Archer didn't expect is the beautiful whirlwind that is Everleigh. Everleigh is a goner almost from the first moment she meets Archer. She was not anticipating having to control herself around him since she gets the same lecture from Tyler as Archer does. She is naturally drawn to him knows she cannot cross that line no matter how badly she wants to. Soon the attraction becomes too much for them both and a decision must be made about that line. In the midst of these two dancing around each other there is still the little issue of Erik being murdered and the sister of the guy Archer "murdered" out for revenge. A mysterious black SUV keeps showing up and it isn't known if the reason for it revolves around Archer or Everleigh. Naturally this is a Kennedy Fox book so we are left with a cliffhanger that will have you shaking your head in disbelief and wanting the next book now. The attraction between these two is so strong throughout the entire book that you just keep on reading and reading. The passion between them is some of the best KF has written and for me that was a plus because they write slow burn romance so well and this was a slow, slow burn for sure. I knew it was going to be good but it went above and beyond my expectations. Archer is the epitome of the good guy and protector of those he loves then there is Everleigh...a free spirited individual. She is the opposite of Archer in every way yet they balance each other out. I cannot wait to get answers to this cliffhanger in Wanting You Close!

Kennedy Fox do their best again with Archer and Everleigh's story! If you love reading a story that is swoon, sweet, full of chemistry, and give us a dangerous and mysterious sense at the same time, this book is definitely for you. I always like Everleigh. She is a woman who follows her heart plus she is funny and has a lot of energies to be with and Archer is sooooooooo swoon-worthy (heart eyes emoji.) I love their relationship though. It may begins with attractions but while they are living together, they learn about each other and I have to agree with Gemma that it's a match made in heaven. The plot is so excellent. It keeps me intriguing till the end which sadly ends with a cliffhanger. Well, I am prepared for a cliffhanger part because Kennedy Fox is one of teasing authors who love writing cliffhangers, but the ending still makes me feel heart-wrenching. Now I can't wait for the second book because I want to see Archer keeps Everleigh closed after forcing her away for too long.

Audio Review. I was blown away by this emotional, slow burn romance and I’m really not sure what I can say that will do Archer and Everleigh’s love story justice so I guess I just need to tell you how Forcing You Away made me feel. The narration team of Tor Thom and Lia Langola did a fantastic job bringing these characters to life and they made the tension and emotion feel very real. If you love slow burn romance with a bit of angst look no further than this great listen. Archer gets out of prison and heads to meet his new roommate set up by Tyler and surprise Ev is his new roomie and their first meeting is hilarious but what follows is an emotional, entertaining, slow burn watching two people fight their feelings until they explode. So is this the end or is it just the beginning……. I have to say be warned you will be left wanting more and the ending will come as a shock but it will leave you excited for the conclusion.
