This is Tilly and Alex's story and what a magical story this is. Tilly and Alex are best friends and they would do anything for each other so when Tilly tells her grandmother that she is engaged her grandmother decides to visit for Christmas so that she can meet Tilly's fiance so in a panic she asks Alex to pretend to be her fiance and of course being the best friend that he is he says he's but what happens changes the course of there friendship forever. I absolutely love Tilly and Alex relationship and how perfect they are together even though they didn't realise it and you find yourself hoping that they might get to be together and get a happy ending which is what they both deserve. This book was a real page turner and I couldn't put it down as I wanted to see what would happen next for them and it was so well written and I definitely recommend you read this book and others by Kathleen Ryder who is a brilliant author and writer and her books are definitely worth reading.

I really loved this story. Tilly and Alex are best friends who are always there for each other, ready to accommodate any favor asked for. Tilly made what seemed like a harmless mistake when she told her grandmother she was engaged. She had no idea her grandmother would decide to visit in person at Christmas, wanting to meet her new fiancé.
The only way to rectify this problem was for Tilly to ask Alex, her best friend, to be her fake fiancé. He readily agrees. It sounded so simple, and he knew Tilly better than anyone else. He could do this easily. What neither of them had counted on, however, was how important they were to each other, and how easily real feelings would start to emerge as they pretended to be in love. Was it still pretend? Or was it too late now to pretend it wasn’t real?
This is a well written short story with Tilly and Alex. Best friends who will do anything for each other. When she needs a fake fiance he's there for her.But their relationship quickly changes as they finally realize their true feelings. It's a cute story and I enjoyed reading.

Cute little novella. Perfect size for those quick Christmas reads. My first one of the year—so far off my goal this year. Tilly is in hot water, her Gram is coming and she told her that she was engaged. Her best friend Alex agrees to “pretend “ with her. I can’t tell too much without ruining the plot. But if you hurry you might get a free download like I did.
This is the 4th book I've read written by Kathleen Ryder; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
She has written a great short story; Tilly told her grandmother that she was engaged so when her grandmother comes to town for Christmas she gets her best friend Alex to pretend to be her fiancé; he fine with it and feels he knows her better than anyone could anyway but after pretending now he’s wondering if there is really more between them than friends.

Tilly’s grandma has been pushing her to have a couple and that is the reason why she tells her she is engaged. Alex is Tilly’s best friend, and he agrees to pose as her fiancé. A very short story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
