STROBE IS GREAT: BATTERY SUCKS : AMAZON AND ADORAMA CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCK MORE!!!
What’s wrong with this picture? Right, it’s a battery powered studio strobe with a freaking power cord attached. Why, you ask? Because just like dozens, that’s dozens, of other buyers of this model..THEY SENT ME A TOTALLY DEAD BATTERY THAT WILL NOT CHARGE!Called Amazon, who responded, “…you bought it from a third party, so we can’t help you.” Called Adorama (the third party) and they responded, “…the only thing we can do for you is give you a refund AFTER you send the unit back to us…could take 7-10 days for your refund…” I did not need, and still do not want a refund, and was flying out of the country in two days.Bought and over-nighted the AC adaptor you see in the photo. Strobe works flawlessly (when it has power.). This one was the last unit added to my new studio strobe setup: Two XPLOR 600s, 1 Godox V1 speedlight, and this 600PRO TTL. They work together seamlessly all controlled by the XPRO transmitter, AND, somehow, the ETTL works with my Canon R5 bodies. So what’s the problem. STILL PITIFUL - NO CUSTOMER SERVICE HAVIN ADORAMA, kept me on hold for 20 minutes this time, then transferred me to the “product specialist” line, which promptly went to voicemail. That’s right, the customer service person said she COULD NOT HELP ME GET A REPLACEMENT BATTERY. And apparently the people who can help me, don’t work the same hours she does. This was my fault! I bought the 3 big strobes from Adorama (via Amazon) all within a day or so…and I read all the reviews on the two models thoroughly. The ONGOING problem with this specific battery IS DOCUMENTED OVER AND OVER, but still I tried “the benefit of doubt” route and got hosed. Oh, and when you finally find somebody that sells the replacement battery (Adorama by the way, so why the hell would you dare buy another one) THEY COST $180. I paid $120 for the AC adapter.I’m already sick of Adorama and will NEVER purchase, or recommend a purchase from them ever again. As for Amazon, I’ve been sick of them for years. They push the product through Prime, they hype the easy return, blah, blah, then they bail when it goes sideways. I have an item that was apparently lost back in November. Amazon took my money, stamped “YOUR ITEM MAY BE LOST” across the order and has said NOTHING else since.Sick of Amazon, and if they hide this negative review of their service and offerings…then don’t ask me to write any more reviews. SICK OF THIS COMPANY!

This flash/strobe is absolutely wonderful. The speed is phenomenal. It keeps up with high sync mode very very well. I’m a big fan of the feature where you can the light on at 3 different intensities. Really helps to setup your shot when you’re shooting in darkness.
The battery last for friggin ever. I haven’t counted but I know for sure I can get several hundred shots before I lose 1 of 4 battery icons.
Highly recommend this light. But don’t buy it here. But it on Adorama.com. Way cheaper!
