love Jordan and Sky? Jordan is fierce and sweet at the same time. For a vampire, she still has a lot of humanity left inside her. Sky surprised me most of all. She loved hard and had a lot of courage for a human finding out that there are scary things that truly go bump in the night. I was surprised that these are day walking vampires.

I enjoyed watching them grow as fated mates and friends. It was believable. I enjoyed the twins and even more Hunter and Max were just hilarious. I had a wild ride as Sky and Jordan come close to death so many times. Wild rides.

I loved the writing style of the author. It held my attention and I was totally invested with these two having there HEA!

I found this story entertaining, humorous, and exciting to read. I liked the two main characters, Jordan (new vampire queen of her coven) and Sky (Jordan's mate) as well as the other characters. I liked the humor some scenes had which usually involved Jordan's twin nieces, Hazel and Hilda or Jordan's coworkers, Max and Hunter, while the seriousness of Jordan trying to hold onto her power and keeping Sky in the dark of her being her mate until Sky reveals her feelings toward Jordan. It was also exciting to read about who the twins mother was and who killed Jordan's brother Alberich the King. I really enjoyed reading how everything turned out at the end. I truly recommend this book to everyone that loves a good romance between a human and a vampire.

Fangs in any sort are a win in my book. These vampiric ones were just the right size and I very much enjoyed getting to know these fated mates. A vampire that loses a loved one, only to gain more family, and have to ascend to the throne whilst having stumbled into their mate, fake dating, hiding secrets- phew. Lots going on.

I liked the duality of the characters. How Sky was the perfect compliment to Jordan's monster. Jordan a regal vampire that gets a swift kick to her self-esteem from her human mate and how Sky was just as regal when decorum was necessary.

Cute book, a bit rushed but enjoyed the epilogue.

Enjoyable vampire story with an interesting take on vampire and werewolf lore. Reasonably fast paced, there is quite a bit that happens during the course of the story. The bulk of the focus is on Sky and Jordan and their relationship (and their steamy scenes) but there is an overall plot that drives some aspects of the story. They make a cute couple, and it was worth the read.

L'histoire est plutôt 'sympa' à lire et distrayante. L'amour entre les deux femmes est plutôt forte et rapide. Les vampires sont décrits et leur monde également sans rentrer dans trop de détails. L'intrigue et le mystère d'un meurtre est plutôt bien tournée. Cependant je regrette que tout aille si vite, j'ai eu l'impression de sauter dans le temps un peu trop vite. La profondeur des personnages m'a aussi manqué car ça allait un peu trop vite pour moi (la relation, l'amour, l'intrigue, la révélation des secrets...). Dommage car c'est vraiment sympathique à lire et ce sont deux femmes fortes et qui vont se battre pour rester en vie et ensembles. Ça aurait mérité des pages en plus et des détails (le mechant et ses pouvoirs, la transformation,...), ça reste tout de même une bonne lecture.

These vampires here are different from the ones one might know. Basically, they are like humans, their vampiric nature mostly hidden, even though they consider themselves superior to the human race. Vampires are born rather than transformed by the bite of another vampire.
It makes the main character Jordan, the vampire queen, quite likable. Her human interest, Sky, is a doll anyway.
Nevertheless, the reader gets a steamy vampire adventure, including a lot of sex, blood, and violence, but also the magic of witches and the brutal force of werewolves.
The end of the novel was a bit rushed in my opinion. Also, the author doesn't give many explanations about the vampire world as such.
The story is captivating and makes you want to read more about the author's ideas of the supernatural world. Maybe she will write a book about the witches. That would be interesting.
