He has it together.
I’m falling apart.

I came to the City with the dream to make it on Broadway.

But instead of hitting it big, I couldn’t be at a bigger dead-end if I tried. I’m a receptionist at my little sister’s company and living with my grandfather. If it wasn’t for my family, I’d be destitute.

When Hunter Everhart walks into my office, my life goes from bad to humiliating.

He saved me on the worst night of my career. And for some reason, the big shot lawyer thinks he can actually fix my life.
But he’s only seen the veneer. There are so many cracks, I can’t let him get too close.
But for some reason when I’m with him, I feel something other than
numb.
And I’m starting to believe that he would do anything for me...if I let him.
Even fall for me.

Fall for Me is an inspiring contemporary romance of finding love and starting over after your world has fallen apart. This page-turning love story will break and mend your heart as Willow and Hunter fall in love and fight to stay together. This is the first book in the Everhart Brothers series by USA TODAY Bestselling Author Claudia Burgoa.

Fall for Me
Everhart Brothers, Book 1
By: Claudia Burgoa
Narrated by: Jeffrey Kafer, Samantha Cook

This is the first book in the “Everhart Brothers” series and wow, what a start it is, Claudia Burgoa did not hold back and takes her readers/listeners on an emotional rollercoaster ride. The story grabbed my attention right from the start and captivated it the entire time. Some of the subject matter falls close to home for me, even after twenty years I struggle with what happened on that tragic day, September 11th, 2001, a day that in embedded in my heart and my mind, a day I wished never happened, a day I wished I could forget, but a day that should never be forgotten. The Everhart brothers lost their parents in the towers that day and it left them forever changed. This book is Hunter’s story, he was twelve years old then and he not only suffered from that devastating loss but it left him damaged. His older brothers did the best they could with him, but he still suffers from issues and they continued to look out for him despite that he became a successful lawyer. Willow Beesley moved to New York hoping to land a role on Broadway, though she hasn’t had her break yet but continues to work on smaller productions. And when her next project folds and her roommate moves out, it left her trying to figure out how she was going to pay her rent, even asking her sister, Hazel, to move in. Instead, Hazel tells her to take a job at Beesley Enterprises and to move in with their grandfather. Hunter met Willow the day she got the bad news about her play not happening, and he helped her more than he knew. She never expected to see him again after that day, so it surprised her to see him at Beesley Enterprises and that her sister knows him and his brothers. I loved all the layers of this beautifully written and heavily hearted plotted story. I say heavily hearted because of some of the subject matter including different mental health issues, Burgoa does a great job covering it all and keeping it real. There is never a dull moment in this book, it contains plenty of drama, both relationship and family, heartfelt emotions, some gut-wrenching moments and a romance that was definitely meant to be. Claudia Burgoa, thank you for this great story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Jeffrey Kafer and Samantha Cook did a great job portraying the characters, humanizing them, capturing all their emotions and having you feel every single one. They took each role, ran with it and made their own, sounding believable in every role they played. These versatile voice artists are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

WOW first read by this author and WOW just WOW...

This book is not an easy read, but is life easy? The pain this two have is real! Both have tragic pasts and both are tender hearted. They both have mental issues and they need to conquer them to move on. This story also covers a longer time period this is not just a story over a month or two.

Hunter is the youngest of four brothers... he tragically lost his parents and was raised by his brother and a few others. He was not a strong child and would often not like to leave the house so the brothers set up his whole life in their place. He never had to leave his room if he was not strong enough that day.

Willow came to New York City to be on Broadway, but she ends up working with her younger sister Hazel and estranged grandfather. Her parents have not been in her life since she was very young. They took off and give their time for others, but left their daughters behind with the neighbors.

Now can two broken people heal themselves to be the one the other needs to succeed? How long will it take? Will their siblings help or hinder? What will they find out about their pasts?

Such a great start to a new series, looking forward to who tames these men!

Hunter and Willow are two seriously flawed people borne out of loss. One out of abandonment leading to severe depression without prior knowledge that their condition could be hereditary. The other after losing their parents during 9/11 develops agoraphobia and social anxiety.

Their relationship should not work and at some point it doesnt but then it seems that they find a way amid the muck.once the unhealthy coping and choice to listen to their family and leave each other, seems they are perfect for each other.

I honestly did not expect to like this book but it tugged at my heartstrings. It deals with some heavy stuff but without it being too bleak. I am likely to forget what the book is about in a couple of months, but it was decent.Decent enough for me to finish the book and be engrossed throughout

This was a very difficult read for me since my daughter (age 33) has several mental health issues and they don’t go away. I saw so much of her in this book. I wonder if the author has first-hand experience with it. I did enjoy the book and thought the characters were all well written. Describing each of them and what makes them the way they are was interesting. The story is about a women, Willow, trying to go on with life when she has a lot of baggage with her, and then meets Hunter, who also battles with mental issues after the death of his parents during 9/11. Mental issues are a big part of society that needs fixing. There is not a lot of places where people can go and learn how to cope with their issues. This book would be so good for everyone to read and see what people go through every day when they have a mental illness. Every day is a different day and sometimes, every day may be a day that they may not want to go on. The Semi Colon Project for mental issues has a phrase that my daughter has tattooed on her. The phrase is……My life isn’t over yet;
The purpose of the ; in the phase it because you still can go on. When the author puts a semi-colon in a sentence it’s a pause, there may be more to be said.
My only issue with the book was the “F” word. It really didn’t need to be there.

Hunter and Willow were a fascinating couple. After reading Luna and Harrison I had to go back in time and read about Hunter and Willow. I loved that Willow was a different type of heroine. I appreciate that. When Claudia writes a story it has a unique vibe of feeling alive as I go on the journey. Looking forward to finishing all of the stories in this series.

1.0 out of 5 stars Brutto
Reviewed in Italy on March 29, 2022

Reading a book about someone with mental health issues is always going to be difficult this book is about three people with metal health issues, excruciatingly sad in parts but so well written it really needs to be read and it has a H E A.

Sadly I stopped reading as I found it too heavy for a romance book. I like this author but sadly not this book.

But if a challenging read about two dysfunctional people and how they make it functional for them and are accepted by family, or nearly all family. It had my brain going back and forward but it’s a challenging read.
