I am totally floored by the performance of this cooler. I have it on a 7800x3D, and stress testing it in a rather small case it doesnt break 83 degrees while being totally maxed. I have been a Noctua fan boy (no pun intended) for years but figured I'd check out what all the hype was about. I was not disappointed. This thing is quiet, keeps this cpu nice and cool, was easy to install, and doesnt look like baby poo. Thoroughly impressed. So impressed, in fact, that i bought 6 of their case fans for the rest of the build.....and these were just as impressive.

My cooler master v8 broke and I was forced to replace it. I was stuck using the Amd stock cooler that came with my last cpu for a couple weeks, and that thing isn’t great lol. Apparently they don’t make those anymore for less than 200 dollars so that wasn’t an option for replacing.
After a few days of researching and reading reviews I chose thermalright. The look and airflow combined with the heat pipes was exactly what I was looking for.
I was going to go with a similar smaller option sold by them but this one popped up on sale the day I hopped on Amazon, saving me about 10 bucks so I jumped on it.
After install I immediately tested for stability And jumped into a few games that are more cpu bound. I had about a 20 degree Celsius drop in temp from the stock Amd cooler to this one, and probably a 6-10 degree drop from the cooler master v8.
Mounting was unbelievably easy and the included thermal compound came in a large tube so you probably can get about 5 reapplies before needing to buy another; great touch.
Packaging was what you would expect. Nothing fancy but super clean and well done.
My only complaint is the size being too big for my case compared to what the numbers given in the description said. Not a huge deal; my case still shuts(barely) so it’s okay for now. A new case will be needed if I wanna screw down the glass panel all the way in the top left corner but as I said it’s okay for now. Just something to think about…the roundish fan in the center sticks up a bit more than the photo shows.
All in all I’m really impressed so far and I’m only out 40ish bucks so if it gets me a year of performance I’m stoked

This is the older version of the Frost Spirit, but it works just fine on my system cooling a 11900k. I don't even peak past 75c during a transcode with Handbrake. For how cheap it is, it absolutely smashes everything else for value. You do not need to spend 3x as much for the same level of cooling. Maybe there are features like RGB or slightly more silent fans, but those features aren't work 3x the money. This cooler is fantastic.

I love the looks of the towers, and the overall build quality is great. Noise level on standard settings is a little louder than I would like (haven't tried silent) but liveable and cooling performance is great! (Better than any single fan 120mm AIO and comparable if not better than tower fans more than twice the price.) Mounting the fans in a tight case after installing on mounting bracket is very difficult when you don't have room to maneuver your hands/fingers.

This product is fairly easy to install but check out some install videos on youtube if you are a beginner to air radiators because the instructions are good but not great. The mounting system is the same as the Frost Commander so those videos will still work. I am currently using this on a AM4 5900x and my average temps with this is between 31-68 deg C under normal use with Precision Boost and smart access memory enabled. The paste used was Arctic MX-6 between CPU and Cooler. The CPU under max load will not go over 77 deg C with Cinebench R23 (BIOS is temp locked at 80 deg C). This is a good cheep alternative to Noctua NH-D15 (the current model as of 2023 not the revamped model in 2024). I am running this in a Lian Li 216 case and it is replacing a Arctic 240 AIO which the temps were about 2-3 deg less than this and I could hit a sustained all core 4.6 ghz instead of 4.5 ghz with the air cooler. The fan noise with the stock fans are not that noisy but you can tune it to you liking in the BIOS fan curve for your application or CPU. Mine are set to 20% until 40 deg C and are at 100% at 80 deg C.
I much rather use this cooler because I can always replace fans instead of a pump dying and the CPU overheating which results in buying another AIO or a burnt board. Also if you live in a hot to extreme heat area I would also recommend a air cooler because the room temps will stay lower than an AIO which will dump the heat directly in the room. If fans need to be replaced you can use the xpg vento 120 gentle typhoon for a replacement and all will be good this causes this air cooler to respond like the sythe Fuma II rev B within a few degrees plus or minus if you play around with the fan curve. If you replace the fans it has (1) rounded 140mm in the back and (1) 120mm in the front. According to reviewers on youtube this is also good for the gen 12 - 13 Intel processors up to i7 because the heat pipes allow for complete coverage of the Intel CPU without issues of non used heat pipes on the top or bottom. I cannot confirm this but do some research for yourself if you have this type of CPU. The Product for review is Thermalright Frost Spirit 140 BLACK V3.

Replaced a noctua redux cooler with this, this is cheaper but cools so much better. Keeps a heavily overclocked 7600x under 95c in benchmarks which is very good.

I’ve installed 8-10 cpu coolers on my machines to this date and this was the easiest so far. Solid build, pleasing to look at. Only issue i had is the larger fan was making ticking noise which was very audible. I contacted support and got a partial refund. Used that to grab another fan. Temp is lowered by another 3-5 degrees compared to my scythe cooler (which was already really good). Pleased with my purchase.

Beware of poor quality, the fan splitter may not work and customer service (Andrea) will deny a replacement splitter unless you return the whole thing. I didn't notice the fans weren't spinning until it hit 80 degrees celsius on my temperature monitor so keep an eye on that. The mounting is terrible to install/remove so this isn't something I'm willing to take the time to do.
