I've been using rice cookers for many years and I cannot say enough about them and how they make cooking so much easier and faster. 
This particular one I purchased for my mother because it's smaller and more compact. I love the fact that it has the basket that you can rinse your rice in. You can also use the same basket to steam meat or vegetables in while the rice is cooking. Tip take 2-3 chicken legs or thighs season them well and then sear them on the stove in olive oil. Once both sides get a good sear place them in the basket and they will finish cooking along with the rice. Meat comes out very very tender using this method.
And bonus you can also reheat rice and meat in it by placing the rice in the pot meat on top in the basket and selecting the steam button.

I saw bad reviewsfor this cooker."the exit steam valve leaks" so i loosly put a towel over vent. no leaking. it fell on a finger.. user error. i love this rece cooker. peferct rice and meat every time. i love this rice cooker 😀

Great for the price

Convenient, and not too large.wanted it for rice, but steamer is a great addition. just realize the enclosed measuring cup follows Japanese meaures.

Just what we wanted!

My husband and I are diabetic and the grain function allows me to prepare a full meal in this pot. I can use my whole grain rice and add veggies on top. I absolutely love and use this everyday.

Settings that fit my lifestyle

I would like to change my order and ged a bigger rice cooker than the one I got, I thought that 8 cups would be big, but I was surprised when I saw it, if possible you can let me know the procedure.

I love my Hamilton Beach 8 cups (cooked) rice cooker. Just the right size for family of 3 to 4. So easy to operate and doesnt occupy too much space on counter top.

It took some getting used to, but the rice comes o

works as expected.. rice takes 45 minutes which is longer than most rice cooker. but usually it is done well within 30 minutes, so you can open the rice cooker.. took off 1 star as the aluminum (oustide) changes color in the dish washer even though it is called as dish washer safe...Otherwise this is a good budget friendly rice cooker. 
Also i had the water spraying issue only once when the outlet was blocked. as long as you make sure there is no food stuck there and all food is well submerged within water, you will not have the issue.

Good inexpensive rice cooker for entry level buyer

Rice cooker is the right size for 3 people and can cook more rice whenever there are companies. Easy to operate.
the only downsize is that it is a little bit tall to put under a hanging cabinet where there is a eletrical outlet to plug in. When I open the lid, it hits the bottom of my hanging cabinet, so I have to move it to avoid the edge of the cabinet before opening the lid.

Hamilton Beach Digital- 8c rice cooker

The is advertised as 8 cup capacity but the actual cooker is only 4 cup maximum. I am so confused and gonna return it.
