I was born into luxury and used to getting what I wanted.
What I desired most, with my life in disarray, was the man who sat across from me.
He was tall, dark and handsome, but, most notably, forbidden.

It made every accidental touch more sinful and every session more addictive.

There was so much tragedy and he was supposed to fix me.
I shouldn’t have wondered how it would feel to be trapped under his broad shoulders.
I shouldn’t have focused on the way he licked his bottom lip every time his gaze dropped from mine and roamed my curves.
I shouldn’t have dreamed about him breaking the rules to comfort me the way I desperately needed.

I did though, and I was the first one to break.

He was my protector and my confidant and then he became my lover.
I teased him, tempted the two of us and now there’s no way to take it back.
With everything I've been through, I didn’t expect to fall for him.
There’s only so much heartache I can take.

This is book 2 in the Love The Way You series. Book 1, Kiss Me, must be read first.

Willow started writing after having her little girl, Evie, December 2015. All during her pregnancy with Evie she continued to read and she only wanted to read romance. She was reading a book a day — sometimes two.

In January 2016 Willow was staying up late with Evie and just thinking of all these stories. They came to her constantly so she finally sat down and just started writing. She always wanted to do it so she figured, why not? Today Willow cannot be happier for making that decision!

I must say when I first found out this duet was extended to a trilogy, I was somewhat ticked off. but as you read book 2 you can see that the author couldn’t fairly give you Ella and Zander story in just two instalments

Lord have mercy, now to figure out how to write this review without sharing too much

Thankfully Hold Me starts right where we left off with Kiss Me (book 1)

This 2nd book gets right to work building the romance and suspense that's sure to lead to a dangerous climax.

.
Ella and Zander’s relationship had changed dramatically in this installment

Zander went from working at "The Firm" to protecting Ella as outsider to becoming her Dom

description

Let's be honest here, I was somewhat shocked that "The Firm" let Ella pull the number she did at the meeting after they found out about how Ella and Zander’s relationship had changed

Ella seem to be doing so much better with the new Arrangements she looked lighter more confident and definitely showing everyone how the woman that she once was could come back from that dark place, the one she lived in….. Ella even was able to venture Into The West Wing

One question, at the wrong place and time, had changed, Ella in so many ways

One phrase, had her reeling back into that dark place once again

One misguided glance in the wrong direction will change both of their lives

WARNING: This book ends with a major cliffhanger that leaves you begging for the next book

➦📚 *Hope you enjoy this read & also always keep in mind this is just my opinion+ Also I wouldn’t never discourage anyone from reading this book. 💕 Happy Reading & Enjoy

Mystery and secrets!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💋💋💋
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📙📕📗📘
World building: 🌎🌏🌍🌎
Character development: ☺️🥸😎😘

The heroine: Ella - In the first book, she got a court order to transfer custody of herself from a psychiatric hospital to “The Firm”. They are in the security and protection business and are branching out into this new field. Ella is wealthy and famous and her manager Kamden makes many decisions for her.

The Hero(es): Zander - works for his brother who owns “The Firm”. Zander is a Dom and saw the submissive in Ella and he crossed the line. He has a history himself, with his last submissive who wanted more from him, when he refused, she walked away and something happened that night.

The story: There were so many secrets in “Love the Way You Kiss Me” and many hadn’t been exposed as of the end of the book. But one that did come out changed everything for Ella and Zander.

This was an odd one for me. The relationship between Zander and Ella seemed to be co-dependent and almost like they were creating their feelings for each other as a means to get over their own issues instead of actually having those feelings.

Zander had extreme feelings of guilt over what happened in his last relationship and Ella was depressed and extremely lonely. The first book was hot and steamy, and this one lived up to that and more. Zander and Ella have a D/s relationship but the BDSM is pretty light, nothing too intense. But the intimate scenes were sizzling hot.

I guess I just don’t like it when the main characters in a book are so depressed and depressing. Both Zander and Ella dwelled on their issues so much. I know it takes time to get over things like that, but I just don’t want to read about every time she remembered something she did with her husband and became melancholy, or every time Zander started wallowing in his feelings of guilt over something that wasn’t his fault.

Though I was interested enough to want to find out how it all worked out. Of course, just when you think everything is moving along, more secrets are introduced and everything changes. So now I again can’t wait until the next book to find out what happens. I was almost hoping the things I didn’t like about the book outweighed the things I liked so I could skip waiting for the next book. But alas, I really liked it and need to know.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.

Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Kiss Me Is the First Novel In The Duet. Please read in order.

Ella recently has to have a court transfer herself to "The Firm" based on some incidents. Zander works in the Firm and takes care of the people, there with plenty of regrets on his mind as well.

Although the characters were a bit too depressed and lonely, I still felt for them a lot. Plus the chemistry, romance, banter, and the emotional bond they form - was worth it all.

I couldn't help but root for them all the way as they developed throughout their relationship. In the end, it was worth reading about them.

So if you like novels like these, be sure to give it a read.

Until the next read,

I died a thousand deaths while reading Hold Me by W. Winters and Amelia Wilde. My heart is broken and bruised. And this is the kind of raw and achingly honest love story that makes the romance addict in me obsessed and blissfully happy. Passionate. Emotionally overwhelming. Suspense and twists running through the pages like electricity. The authors brought a dominant alpha hero alive with all his complexities. Like they delivered a flawed and strong heroine with perfection.

We left Zander and Ella at a very precarious situation. Zander is a part of The Firm's team that has taken the responsibility of Ella as she recovers from her depression and other psychological issues. And it's absolutely prohibited to Zander to have any kind of relationship with Ella. But their dominant submissive dynamics is helping Ella better than any therapy. Zander has to protect her and heal her. Ella is clinging to him desperately. But is it enough? Ella belongs to a world of rich and famous people and her past is full of secrets. Zander's past makes him weary. And their love is burning everything down.

It's been a long time that I have read a true BDSM romance. I am not talking about the games in bed room only. This story goes deep into the mental aspect of a D/s relationship and that's fascinating. Ella has suffered through deep trauma and even Zander doesn't know the extent of the damage. Ella is still all over the places. Her mind goes from numbness to euphoria to anger to sadness to frustration to darkness. And the authors delivered all the nuances beautifully. It was a very difficult job to show Ella's vulnerability while making her a strong and resilient character. And they did it. Zander is taking away her power to lose herself in vortex of negative emotions by controlling her body. By acquiring her mind. This man takes my breath away every second. He is an alpha, a bossy lover, a possessive friend and a real man with own demons. The power of their love was extraordinary and I could feel every single ups and downs so intensely! I lost myself in the mass of heartbreaking and soul deep emotions. It's a maze. Ella needs assurance and some kind of validation in her lost mind. But is Zander ready for it? Is he really ready to put aside his past and push forward for something meaningful with Ella? Is it even the right time with her fragile state and Zander's obligations? At the same time I was on the edge because I was waiting for something sinister to happen. And it did and everything exploded. I don't know if I trust Ella's friends specially Kamden. My mind is full of questions and I cannot wait for the conclusion.

Be prepared to get your mind blown away by Hold Me by W. Winters and Amelia Wilde.

line

Star Rating : 4/5 Stars

POV : Dual

Cliffhanger : Yes

Hero : Sander

Heroine : Ella

Pace of the story : Moderate

Angst Rating : 5/10

Heat Rating : 6/10

Triggers Involved : Past Trauma

Plot Summary :
Shrouded in mystery and heartache, this is the continuation of Ella and Sander's story. They both have been through so much. Ella was supposed to never mean more but she does and now there is nothing zander can do.

They both have scars from the past and have been trying to move on through them but things are tough. Now their past people have returned and the only thing they can do is to hold onto each other.

Overall Opinion :
I have been crazily waiting for this book! The whole vibe and the ending of the first book had me crazy about this one. Ella and Zander are perfection and the BDSM element of this series is just so hot!

The ending of this book gave me a bit of a Whipsplash but I loved it so much. I just can't wait for more of these characters. The whole trilogy is going to be amazing and the heartache and angst is top notch as usual.

Winter's heroes are always my favorite and so is zander now. He is so hurt and guilty over his past and his character development was the best thing to witness. I would definitely recommend this series to all the dark romance loving people out there!

Book two is this series begins where Kiss Me left off . After Zander broke his oath to the firm and mishandled his role of “caretaker” with his client Eleanor, will things ever be the same. She is a light to his darkness and he is starting to be that for her too. Will his unorthodox care really help “cure” Ella of her trama? What is Ella’s real reason for the conservatorship? This book helps explain some of the unanswered questions (and confusion I had from book one) through the therapy sessions. I enjoyed seeing the characters develop and this is a faster paced story than Kiss Me was. There is also still plenty of D/s moments between Z and Ella. Be warned, this will end in another cliffhanger. Told in dual POV.

Hold me is the second book & immediately starts where Love the way you kissed me left us on a cliffhanger.
You definitely need to read in order……..
Hold me kept me hooked, lots of twists & turns in Zander & Ella’s intense, passionate BDSM relationship.
I love the way their feelings & relationship is growing. Seeking & finding solace in each other.

Can’t wait for book 3 to see the conclusion.

"How could you possibly think I don't want you? It's fucking embarrassing what you do to me. How I can't even think when you're around." -Zander

If Kiss Me was more tender and exploring, Hold Me totally slayed!
Willow Winters and Amelia Wilde brought the two H's of heat and healing into one perfect book 🔥❤️
The exploration of mental health issues and coping with grief has been dealt with so much care, and was interwoven into the high pace, intensity and steam as if the two concepts were meant to coexist!

Zander...... Zander came back with a vengeance and insane passion 🔥
Any insecurities about her, his job or himself were thrown out the window, all for Ella, for taking care of her and making sure she was getting better. He was every bit of a Dom but I loved that he always made sure she was comfortable in the whole process. Give me all the Zanders ❤️

Ella was an incredible heroine to admire ❤️
She went through so much and still was a strong, opinionated woman. She fought to be seen, to have the last word, and I adored her for it. And last but not least she loved Zander and trusted him and it was b e a u t i f u l ❤️❤️❤️

Can't wait to their conclusion!!

4.75 Stars First off, let me just say that I'm so glad this has been extended to a trilogy. There's so much still to explore in the dynamic between Zander and Ella. This was so incredibly intense and I was hooked on every twist, every turn and every word. Again I'm being intentionally vague and nondescript because this is the kind of series you want to go into knowing as little as possible. Just remember, every book needs to be read in order and that this is dark and to check your TW/CW should you need them. Other than that, enjoy the journey. I sure as heck am. I volunteered to read and review an early copy of this. All opinions are my own.

Okay that was intense!! This is more emotional, raw and overwhelming in every sense than first book. I love zander and ella . They are both imperfect but thay make a perfect story. The emotions authors write in the book are so strong and real and loved every minute of it. I like how the story progression goes and how meaningful the som/sub relationship is shown in the book. I am seeing BDSM into new light as their relationship is not only on sexual level but when it comes to control over emotions thier d/s relationship is helping them and healing them. There is so much more to this story then only romance.

I'm not gonna lie. I wasn't impressed with the first book , so I was hesitant when I picked this up. But I'm so glad I did, because this seemed to be better. Or at least I enjoyed this one more than the first one.

It's definitely a book that speaks about some sensitive issues such as suicide, abuse, murder etc. There's also the matter of her conservatorship. Zander is trying to help Ella with her issues through their BDSM relationship. He's her Dom and she's his submissive. But because of his past he can't let this evolve to something more. And they both haven't recovered yet from their issues that may get in the way.

I'm looking forward to reading the next and final part of this series, to see how things are going to develop for them.

This trilogy is shaping up so nicely and I am absolutely hooked on it. Ella and Zander have a complex relationship that has started evolving into something more. Secrets from the past, for both Ella and Zander, are revealed that are mind blowing.

Ella’s conservatorship is still under order from the ordeal that she went through when she was released to The Firm. Ella and Zander have developed more than a professional relationship and we get to see it in full force during this book. Ella is still delicate from her ordeal and this is what she needs. The structure that is established between them is strong.

Ella struggles are so relatable to a lot of people and I love that. Social media is a beast and can definitely be used for evil. She has the structure and support that she needs to be able to overcome it and be a better version of herself. Zander is a protective, confident alpha who is drool worthy. I could feel his confidence through the words written and it was amazing.

I’m glad W. Winters and Amelia Wilde have stretched out this story into three books. I’m looking forward to the conclusion to see what happens with Ella and Zander.

Love the Way You Hold Me is the second book in the Love The Way series and yes it does end in a cliffhanger so get ready.

Zander Thompson and Eleanor “Ella” Bordeu’s story continues. The second book picks up where the first one left off. Zander has to fight (figuratively said) his way back in to be able to carry on a relationship with Ella because he did step over the line in this forbidden romance.

I love that these two women have co written this very sexy and hawt book together. Their writing is seamless.

Now I can’t wait for the third book and the conclusion of Zander’s and Ella’s story in Love the Way You Love Me. I am not sure when the book will be out but it can’t come soon enough.

Outstanding.

Book one was brilliant, but this book completely eclipsed it! It was on another level.

Scorching chemistry, forbidden romance, emotional therapy scenes and so much drama. I could reread it over and over and never tire.

Brilliantly written, beautifully handled. This duo are a power force.

Review: 4.5/Stars
Hold Me starts right where we left off with Kiss Me (book 1). Originally it was only supposed to be a duet but now it is a series. The emotional depth of these characters and the world that Willow Winters and Amelia Wilde have created is wonderful and just too big for two books. Ella (FMC) is recovering from a substantial loss and suicidal attempts that have her in private care within her home. Zander (FMC) still recovering from the murder of his ex-girlfriend, has crossed the personal professional line with Ella and their exposed relationship hangs on a slippery slope. Things change...they fall into a new routine. Ella slowly shows more progress. The problem is they both have so much inner suffering that they make mistakes. As Dom/sub they fit, but unsaid wishes and feelings hinder them. Their personal communication hampers their relationship, they are like a puzzle with missing pieces. No matter how well they fit together, their unspoken words are not letting them be complete. So once again we are left with a cliffhanger that leaves you wanting more. I really recommend this story, please be aware of sensitive subjects addressed.

Wow! This second part of the trilogy starring Ella and Zander, drew me deeper into their world, their relationship and the complex events of the past which form so many of their issues and responses. I was drawn to so many of the characters beyond the MCs. The team making up The Firm is made up of people of integrity, who care deeply about their work, their clients and each other. As a result of Zander's burgeoning relationship with Ella, his accurate assessment of her need for structure, their job has been jeopardised. That integrity has been compromised. But Zander is engaged. There are feelings developing. But! More secrets are unveiled, more complexities revealed, and I couldn't read fast enough. I found the D/s relationship, in the context of the story, both fascinating and relevant to the plot. I felt desperate for both Zander and Ella's pasts which are having such a huge impact on their current actions and emotions and I realised that so much more is happening than can be resolved here. Overall a fabulous, intriguing, hot and twisty read which I could not put down. I really couldn't ask for more, except the rapid release of the finale! 💖💖💖💖💖

I enjoyed this read. It is the second book in Ella and Zander's trilogy and you must read all these books and in order to get the complete story. These books offer up a tempting combination of gritty, raw emotions, drama, tension, suspense, inner turmoil and steam. While the heat is a major player in this tale, center stage is very firmly held by genuine emotions. That is what really makes this book and series so compelling. Pain, grief, guilt and loss are common denominators for almost everyone, so it is very easy to connect with and feel for these characters. The storyline continues to unfold and as it does we learn some new info but are left with plenty more questions as I feel there are still some very big pieces to the puzzle that are sure to be jaw-droppers. Prepare for the cliffy headed your way and the wait for book three. I can not wait. I 'm electing to post a objective review.

We pick up where we left off with Zander and Ella. Both have issues and how they are dealing with it together will take their relationship down a road they may not come back from. These two have crossed over a line into unknown territory trying to see if they fit as well as Zander is hoping for. Communication is key in every relationship and until Ella and Zander can be honest about how they feel, there is no way they can move past the physical aspect of this relationship. I’m enjoying their story, you are grabbed from the start and sucked in so fast you won’t know what hit you. I’m sitting on pins and needles for what’s to come next.

Intense, Intriguing and Passionate!! Zander and Ella’s story is taking us on an emotional and BDSM roller coaster ride. As Ella feelings develop beyond the power exchange relationship, Zander is digging into her childhood. Together they are fuelled by profound desire and sexual pleasure. Their story is gripping and captivating. I am so hooked on these characters and I can’t wait to see what happens to them in Love Me!
Congratulations Willow and Amelia on another amazing book🔥❤️🔥

All I can say is “Wow”! That ending has left me speechless. I can’t believe we have to wait till next year to get the conclusion to the story! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

Zander and El’s relationship is pretty toxic. It’s not in a way where they are abusive to one another, but both of them are suffering with some sort of guilt and depression. It’s hard enough in a relationship when one person is going through it, but when both are dealing with the same thing, then it makes the relationship even harder to work. They have this D/s thing going on and it seems to be helping El heal. She seems to be doing great, but with all stories there is always something that happens to jeopardize the relationship.

Just when you feel like it’s going to work out, the rug gets pulled out from under you and you’re left wondering, “What the heck just happened!?!” I am even beginning to doubt the sincerity of some of the major characters in this book.

This book is not a standalone. You need to read the prior book to understand what’s happening in this one. D/s is not my favorite love story genre, but I always enjoy Willow’s work. She partnered well with Amelia.

I received an advance copy of this book, and I am leaving my review voluntarily.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and options are my own.

Let me start off by saying I’m VERY mad at both Willow and Amelia. HOW could you end the book like that?! I’m DYING over here. You're telling me I have to wait until May 24nd, 2022 to find out the conclusion of this book?!?!?! I don't think I’ll survive. On a real note this book really sucked me into it. I'm so glad that this series is now a series and not just a duet. There’s so much that I know we need to learn about Zander and Ella. Their pasts are so interesting and I loved getting the bits and pieces throughout the story. It was such an amazing read and I just couldn’t put it down. This book felt much faster than the first book, but it really helped me fall so much more in love with them. I love the dynamic they have, I think that the D/s aspect is key in this story. It really helps you understand them both better. I still have so many unanswered questions and can wait for the third and final book!! Must read series.

I am sure that all those who have read the first part, have counted the days until the continuation of the story of Zander and Ella. I have to admit that I was somewhat disappointed to discover that instead of a duet, it is a trilogy, but after devouring this second part in one breath, I realize that their story simply can not be summarized so quickly...
... Unplanned meeting, unexpected passion, a sense of belonging which is at the same time punishment and reward ... She is his light through that tunnel of darkness, she is his hope and embodiment of the greatest fears, and he is the cure for all her pains ... But can his hand erase all those traumatic events that threaten to kill her soul? Can a cruel hand give her the tenderness she so desperately needs? Do they both have the strength to dig together in those undiscovered areas and admire all the treasures they have hidden deep inside? Will they be able to find love, a different love that enjoys the bodily, but goes on, in the infinity of the other, a feeling that brands you and rises in the esoteric ... Do these two broken souls have the strength to pass the darkness to find light ...?
I can claim that there is no story that these two authors will not be able to turn into magic conveyed through words ... Words that are seemingly simple and easy to read, and simply have the power to nail you to the pages and do not even allow you to breathe while you do not read the whole story. And topics that are simply not easy to read, and I believe not even to write, such as dealing with a grievance or mental instability are so skillfully woven into the story that even if you do not want to, they make you think, think, feel. The characters are so perfectly presented, with enough depth, that you just seem to know them. Their development is noticed, as well as the inevitable changes. And even when you read, it seems to you that you are putting together a puzzle, but somehow the parts are not here, and you are persistently looking for them through the pages, but they are not there. And just when you think everything will fall into place, you reach the end, that unbearable end that makes you scream in annoyance for not having the last part in your hands.
Emotionally and raw, from beginning to end, with Scorching chemistry and forbidden romance elements, this story of two imperfect souls is simply a reading that upsets and delights you at the same time. A read that should be read by anyone who enjoys the power of the written word.

Hold Me is book #2 in Love The Way You series; it was a duet but just recently the authors announced that it was going to be turned into a series.  And I'm super excited for book #3 "Love Me" which is planned to be released next year. Hold Me picks up from the events of the last book "Kiss Me". And in this book, Ella's and Zander's backstory is unravelled a bit more. The reasons why Ella is in a such a fragile state in the first place, and the incident that scarred Zander deeply. And the in the midst of everything they are navigating their forbidden relationship. Hence, at the ending of book #1 everyone became aware of their secret relationship; Zander crossed professional boundaries by being in a relationship with her. But Zander and Ella couldn't care less, after all it's their lives and they desperately need each other.

Zander needs to proceed with caution, by handling the situation delicately; one wrong move and it could deeply effect all the progress they made so far. Because Ella's mental health is on the line. Two people with painful invisible wounds, who are trying to work through the pain and grief, every single day. I really liked how Ella's character truly developed in this book; Ella started to feel more comfortable to talk about her past, revealing the memories that she was wanting to forget. And it was the same for Zander. Day by day, both Ella and Zander were slowly healing each others' wounds. But at the same time, Ella and Zander were struggling to deal with their emotions. Or more like their feelings for each other. Boy oh boy! The steamy scenes left me thirsty 🥵. There are still a couple of unanswered lingering questions, but the ending though! It completely threw me off guard. Another superb work by these amazing authors. Once again, Ameila Wilde and Willow Winters executed this storyline incredibly! And Willow Winters is an author's work that I simply cannot get enough of!

Hold Me (Love The Way Book 2) by W Winters and Amelia Wilde picks up where book 1 left off. Ella and Zander are beingkept apart. Ella and Zander each want to be with each other and they are willing to go to great lengths in order to be together. Heck Ella is willing to fight for what she wants regardless the consequences.  Thankfully for me  a lot of the mystery surrounding each of their's past was finally revealed which helped me out considerably. As Ella and Zander are redefining their relationship new issues continue to test where their relationship is going. What is suppose to be a Dom/submissive has changed and both Zander and Ella each are trying to deal with the changes in their feelings for each other. For some reason I just do not feel this story. It is not a bad story; it is just not my cup of tea. There is no type of connection for me to this story or the characters. I will tell you that I will be reading the last book in this series. I am curious as to how Ella and Zander's story ends and what will be the end result of their unorthodox relationship. Zander is still under the impression that what he is doing to and for Ella is for her good. The jury is still out as to whether he is doing more harm than good. We will just have to wait and see. I give this book 3.5 stars.

Well, this is definitely another amazing read! I'm so glad it's been extended into a trilogy because I feel like we still have so much more to explore and discover between Zander and Ella. The book is intense, steamy and just leaves you wanting more.

This is a lot faster in pace than the first book, and you'll honestly just fall even more in love with Zander and Ella. I don't want to give too much away because this is a series you should just jump into without knowing too much.
