I finally bought this flash, after reading many positive comments from m4/3 users on various forums, as a replacement main flash for a Bower unit I've had about 5 years. The Bower flash never really pleased me, with a squeeze tab locking mechanism that always worked loose and resulted in the flash losing proper contact with the shoe. I simply stopped using it because of this and other issues.
I was very pleased with the Godox TT350 as soon as I pulled it out of the case. First of all, there's the "bang for the buck" factor of getting a TTL, slave and HSS capable flash for less than $90, with case, diffusion attachment and colored filters included (I paid over $100 for the Bower unit with no accessories). What really impressed me about the Godox was the quality of construction. If feels very solid, with that "tight but not too tight" feel of things like the tilt-swivel head and control buttons that indicates good construction (to me). Then there's the locking wheel. Hurray: No more flash working loose during normal use.
I've run it through some basic paces and it's a very competent little unit. My Rogue diffuser panel even fits it perfectly (the Bower was too large). I used the slave (with the Bower as the master) with no problems. I haven't yet purchased the trigger unit as I wanted to try the flash itself out, but I will certainly buy that next.
Overall, I'm surprised that this flash has the build and feature set it does for less than $85 USD. There are flashes costing twice that with fewer features, and the ones that have the same features are about 3 to 4 times the price.
PROS: Solidly built. Great value. Good performance and GN for the size. Uses only 2 batteries.
CONS: Recycle time is a bit slower than my Bower flash (which used 4 batteries)
