Genial
The box ships well packaged but un-assembled. It is sort of like IKEA furniture and you must assemble each pc. It took two of us about 1 hour to build. The directions were mostly complete but seemed to leave out a few notes on cable connections. These were rather apparent though and easy to connect.
The screen is 17" LCD and I only noticed 1 or two dead pixels which really doesn't take away from the play. The cabinet is rather sturdy but does ship with a wall bracket to secure so it will not tip over as easy. The game ships with a riser to increase it about another 18". We built the riser but did not install it on our cabinet yet as our boy is only 3 years old and it's the perfect height for him. As an adult, it is small and little bench or stool is a must to save your knees or back.
This version came with a plexiglass cover that lays over the joystick / button panel. A great idea to save the artwork from being worn away from hand-ware and general protection. ** BE CAREFUL ** when you screw it down not to use too much pressure which may crack the plexiglass. I would recommend a manual screw driver and just snug it down. Otherwise a cordless drill is a big help for the cabinet panels.
The control knobs seem durable but can unscrew periodically. I would suggest a little bit of loc-tite on the threads to secure them. Buttons seem to be decent quality.
The game comes with stereo speakers that can get loud but the sound never gets distorted. I was quite pleased with the sound.
There is a switch for on and off and a switch for volume. This game cannot be set to use quarters, it is just free play. You use 1P to start the game and choose your game. It comes with the original TMNT game and the 2nd one: Turtles In Time. The second game has slightly improved animation but both are true to how they were in the arcade.
The 4 player play is great and only a few times does the game slow down a bit with 4 people and a screen full of destruction.
I bought this for our 3 year old and he manages to play it without problems. Only a joystick and 2 buttons. Over the holidays his friends came by (2 boys were 4.5 years and the eldest 5.5 years). The picture will give you an indication of height *without* the riser. Also behind you can see a full size arcade cabinet for comparison.
It's a little pricey and I probably wouldn't have done this if it was only a single player cabinet. Overall very pleased and no regrets. I just need to get a surge protector for it still.

This unit is easy to assemble (if you can put an IKEA together you can do this).
- The image on the screen is crisp and vibrant.
- The sound is really good - Surprisingly great bass
- Controls are very responsive
Overall, if you like retro arcade gaming and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles this is a great way to revisit those games.
