    This is a great go to saw, not sure how many cuts I'll get from it but I am running a forge battery which is suppose to be the best, the saw cuts really good, the only thing I wish milwaukee would have done is put the safety switch in a different place, a little difficult for me cause I have a little joint pain in my thumb, for most others it shouldn't be a problem, I would recommend it

    Wow. Great saw. I'm not loyal to one brand or another as I own different brands depending on the tool. This is a light and easy to use saw. Personal preference enters here if you prefer a worm drive or side winder, but if you like the worms as I do, this is where it's at. I'm not sure why they went with a 6 1/2 blade other than perhaps a power/efficiency issue, but how often are you using a circular saw cutting more than 2x lumber? So this blade size fits 95% of any work you'll be doing. If your doing a small project, I've used the 5amp battery with out issue but for any prolonged use, I would recommend the 9 or even the 12 if you dont mind the added weight. Amazon is also a good place to buy these batteries as well, just pay attention to the description. The only small issue is the Allen wrench does not stay in its storage location well. No big deal as it's not frequently used and easily secured with a zip tie. For the price of $170 that I paid, you cant beat it.

    I am re-roofing a tool shed/greenhouse and didn't want to lug my 7-1/2", 14 lb worm drive Skilsaw up to and around the roof, dragging the extension cord. So I added this to my growing collection of Milwaukee M18 tools.

    This saw is light, about half as much as the worm drive and no cord. I can not tell it's battery powered. I am cutting new/wet pressure treated 2x4" and 2x6" and the blade never slows! I bought 2-5 amp batteries. I have not drained one yet and think 2 would likely get me though a full day of cutting.

    I haven't made any angle cuts yet, preferring my chop saw. But the saws depth and angle setting are easy to change. The LED light is helpful and the sight line is good. The blade guard retracts easily. Unlike the worm drive Skilsaw's, which requires effort to push through the cut.

    In summary. This is a light, powerful, full featured 6.5" skill saw that is a pleasure to use.

    Overall, a decent saw. Maybe I just received a dud. This saw keeps breaking and I have to take it back to get fixed. I’ve had it in the shop 3 times because the switch or trigger stops working. At least that’s what they tell me. Other than this one nagging problem, it’s okay. Take your chance and maybe you wind up with a good one. Problem is, it’s been almost 5 years now and it just broke again… out of warranty = 1 star. Very little difference from the non fuel one. Only the hook on the handle seems to be the difference
