Awesome replacement

I have the Fender 65 Deluxe Reverb Reissue head and combo, with the Jensen P12Q speaker. I put the Swamp Thang in the combo first. This amp came alive, it rocks now! For the head, I have two Fender 1X12 cabs. One with a Swamp Thang and the other with a Texas Heat. I'm totally sold on Eminence speakers now!! Amps I've giggled with are, Marshall Bluesbreaker, JTM 45, Mesa Express 5:50 and Mark V. All these amps are gone! The reason being, after I put the Swamp Thang in the Fender. It just blew me away! I've been digging with it for over 5 years now.

An amazing speaker upgrade for the Fender Blues Deluxe

I have loved my trusty Blues Deluxe for more than 10 years, but the sound could be a little harsh and raggedy, with the drive channel only so-so. Saw a bunch of videos on YouTube and the forums praising the Swamp Thang and decided to give it a try. Ordered it through my super responsive, super cool, knowledgeable rep, Jake Hershaw and is came in a few days. The install was pretty straightforward. The result: The sound is markedly better: more pop, more presence, more balance, the drive channel is WAY tighter. I am thrilled at the improvement and breathing new life into my old tweedy pal!

One of the best!

Second one of these speakers I've used in my upgraded combos. I put this into a new Fender Champion 40! It turned the amp into a very gigable Combo! Very bright so I turned the treble down and hit the sweet spot. I have used Eminence in other Fender SS amps always with great results. One of the best things you can do to get a great sounding amp.

Great combination of clean/dirty tones

I've been going back and forth swapping speakers in my Allen Encore amp. Tried a good dozen. The problem I had was some either had nice cleans or dirty, but not a good combo. This one gets a killer hi-Fi jazz tone if that's your bag. Also gets a nice blues and rock tone. Super efficient and doesn't get pushed around by overdrive pedals. Surprisingly good rock tones. Lots of guts when you drive it. Had to boost the highs and roll off the lows, but that's just the part of dialing in the amp.
Music background: 2 years Berklee, gigging on the side since I retired.

Big Thangs are happening in my 4x12!

Swapped out the ol' Sheffield 16 ohm speakers in my Peavey 4x12 because well.. you know.. and went to 8 ohm. As much as I would love to get my dream cab (Mesa V30), I wanted to test out this "rave" about swapping speakers. Eminence and a few others currently changing the game for all kinds of cabs, cheap or expensive. I watched most of the youtubers play a plethora of speakers. Listening through my PA AND quality headphones to narrow down some winners. So I chose these, and the DV77's in an X pattern. Huge change, even with dials set to noon on the 6505+ head. They are way more responsive to not just the amp, but even your guitar knobs. Rolling on/off the Tone and Volume knobs on my PRS made quite a change in tone before getting to either end. Pretty blown away by that. With less than an hour into playing these, I can say that I'm already satisfied with the difference. And also saving $900 between a Mesa cab purchase right now. I can now see why this is a big contribution to your overall tone and sound. Just wish I knew about this 20+ years ago! Excellent speakers Eminence!
