This thing has stepped up my streaming game and just helps me in adjusting the volume with my pc. I have the Wave XLR attached with this and together they are amazing. The software is great too and you can do so much with it. I really wish they had this in a XLR format but you can't be picky. It has held up pretty well and is very powerful and intuitive.

Overall great stream companion unit, but not perfect

I've been using this unit for some time in both macOS and Windows machines, and while it seems like a solid unit and well designed overall it has some issues.
The buttons are a bit squishy (but same as other stream decks). I wish these were upgraded to feel a bit more premium. The rest of the unit feels a lot better. The volume like buttons are well built and provide nice feedback for small adjustments. The touch screen seems to work great and allows fast navigation between pages, allowing me to do things faster.

Giving 4 stars mainly because of the squishy buttons and some times when connecting the unit it shows everything (buttons and touch screen) black and only shows icons when I press the buttons. It seems to be related with software issue, but it happens a lot and I need to open stream deck software for it to "refresh". Hopefully it will be addressed with a software update.
The plugins for the software also don't seem to be prepared for these kind of units, so I'm looking forward for those to be updated hopefully soon.

So, I have a LOT of Stream Decks. Before I broke down and ordered this, I already had 100 buttons (2 XLs, 2 Regular 15 key and 2 pedals. I use this A LOT. There are so many useful features. First of course is the Stream Deck functionality of course. Programmable Macro Buttons for pretty much anything. 8 buttons seem not enough? Simply swipe the LCD screen and you have 8 more buttons! Page access is SOOOO easy! Lastly, this unit gives you access to the excellent Wave Software which allows you extreme control over your audio and your routing. Music on you VOD? For a long time I was looking for an external volume controller that looks good, doesn't take up an insane amount of space on my desk and doesn't need a professional midi connection to function. From what I could find, I was ultimately left with 2 options. The Elgato Stream Deck and the Beacon Mix. Based on the reviews, I chose the Stream Deck despite the price difference, and I have to say, I'm quite happy I chose it but there was quite a learning curve for the stream deck software and the wave link software to get a fully functioning volume controller.

For the hardware: Buttons are easy to press and nicely lit up. Dials are tactile and can both be turned and pressed (for functions such as muting or switching inputs, see software for more info). Touch screen above the dials is interactive works well and is clean to look at. Stand is solid and has a rubber grip on the bottom works well to hold the controller in Stream Deck in place while pushing the buttons. The angle of the stand is nice as well and allows you to see the whole SD without having to buy a third party stand (I believe the other Stream Decks only have a slight tilt without an extra stand). The cord is a standard USB but it doesn't have to bend to be plugged in, which is a nice feature.

The Software: I consider myself pretty tech savvy, but the software took a long time to customize the way the SD the way I wanted it to work. If you are using this as a controller for individual applications, you might have to put in some work instead of just plug and play. After numerous YouTube videos and walkthroughs I can confidently say that once the system is up and running, it works nicely. As mentioned above there are 2 apps that need to be downloaded, wave link and Stream Deck which can take come getting used to but work well once you know it. Customizing the buttons and screen is very easy and allows you to change the look of your SD along with how the individual buttons function, such as opening an app, chancing the volume, starting your stream and so on. The options are limitless.

Overall: I'm very happy with my Stream Deck and am glad that I took the plunge to buy it. Whether you use it for work, games, streams or volume, this has it all and then some. I strongly recommend getting this is any of the above ring true.

Reading down the one star reviews I’m seeing they were all from 2022 when it first came out, so I don’t know if the software/firmware was still in development with it having been released early.

The other criticisms I’m seeing — that it doesn’t work with the eg Adobe suite out of the box — I can see as being fair criticisms on the one hand if you’re buying a programmable shortcut controller and expecting it to work without having to program it, but on the other hand, personally that’s not a problem for me, because I actively want to program it myself — I don’t want the shortcuts and icons for somebody else’s workflow, I want the shortcuts and icons which I use for *my* workflow, and it’s not a big deal to rustle up those icons in Photoshop.

The knobs can also be mapped to shortcut keys, so it’s easy enough to map them to the left and right keys for frame by frame paging through the clip with a push of the button to make a cut action, and like its predecessors it recognises the application in current focus and automatically selects the correct set of shortcuts for the icon. And the + variant only having eight buttons and four knobs isn’t as much of a problem as it first looks, because you can page through to get more shortcuts by swiping on the touchscreen.

For me I’d say the headline price of £200 was a stretch in terms of value to me personally, but I got it for £140 in the Amazon sale, and I’d say it has been well worth it for me for that price.

Es el primer StreamDeck que tengo de el gato. Lo quería en blanco ya que en mi set-up lo tengo casi todo de ese color. Cuando lo saque de la caja, me gusto mucho su diseño y su robustez en los materiales usados, realmente tiene mucha calidad.

Me gusta mucho el hecho de poder personalizarlo todo, en mi caso descargue un pack de iconos personalizados y tengo el Spotify tal como veis en la foto. Tengo mas cosas configuradas pero son cosas mías personales y prefiero no enseñarlo.

Cosas que por ejemplo tengo configuradas son las luces que tengo en el escritorio de la marca Philips, que con solo pulsar el botón se pueden encender o parar y subir y bajar el brillo con la rueda. Tengo otras cosas como accesos directos a programas, websites o el hecho de poder hacer un clip con el Nvidia Shadowplay... Tambien tengo una carpeta con emojis, tengo emojis copiados y puedo sacarlos con solo un clic.

Todas estas cosas te las puedes configurar mediante el programa y luego muy importante, siempre tener un backup guardado por si formateas el PC. Lo malo es que luego tendrás que volver a hacer todas las conexiones como cuenta de Spotify, las luces y volver a descargarte las skills que te habías instalado (porque creo que no hay manera de guardar eso).

En conclusión, con un poco de imaginación puedes tener miles de accesos directos para hacer cualquier cosa y en tema de creación de contenido, puedes tener todo lo del OBS y tener accesos directos para cualquier cosa que se te pase por la cabeza.
