I’m an average size guy, 6’ tall 170 lbs. I cannot seem to get this thing small enough to properly fit. I don’t know how someone shorter than me would fit. Maybe every carpenter/framer is a barrel-chested behemoth? I know it has to accommodate a wide range of sizes, but it seems like the smallest it was meant for was someone like 6’2”, 190 lbs. I’ll keep seeing where I can tighten it up, but I’m definitely running out of things to try.
Top reviews from other countries
The bags are held in place with velcro, seems sturdy. We'll see how it holds up... not as free floating as the leather systems, but they have their trade offs.
The belt is sized accordingly; I'd probably buy a size smaller if I'm somewhere closer to the lower end of the range for what the manufacturer lists. However, everything was adjustable, and I don't think I'm going to be cinching everything down to the tightest possible notches anyways. But having it a bit more "loose" I can't tuck the strap through the loop, so I probably did buy a bit bigger than I should. I'll see how it all holds up when I wear my full gear though as I tend to wear a back brace as well to help, which is why I bought a little bigger to allow for the extra back support.
No complaints so far though! The suspenders were similar - I'm tall(er), 6'1" with average to slender build, and I feel where the padding lands is not quite right, so I also shortened the shoulder straps and fed the adjustment buckles back through the padding to sit above where they initially sat.
I get the sense that this product was geared towards a thicker build, or perhaps , would be better suited for a colder season set up where you'd likely be wearing a sweater or two, maybe even your jacket with this on top.
