Army Painter paints are top notch! This set includes a number of paints to start you on your journey, as well as a few unique colors otherwise unavailable outside of this set. The brush addition is an added bonus on top of the included Owlbear mini (which itself is top-tier quality and costs about $8-10 alone). If you're just getting started in miniature painting, this is a great gateway!

Excellent Entry to Miniature Painting

Forget the fact that the bonus mini costs like 15% of what you're paying for the entire set, because the paint alone is worth every cent. I love these little combo kits, because you get the paints you need, and often times, some fun little one-offs that you never really thought about using until you see them in the box. Support Army Painter and pick up this gem of a set.

Nicely thinned paints, easy to get out. Good coverage. Good value

Good value paint set

This is a large selection of colors, not just the five pictures on the front image.  You get 36 bottles. This includes some color washes which really make a difference giving your models a lot of depth.  If you are just getting into painting, the 12mL bottle may sound small but will go a long way.  I have painted 100s of models and have not run out of paint.

I honestly got this for the Owlbear alone, verses buying it without paints.  I have bought into most of these Army Painter DND line of paints, as they color match back to larger Army Painter bottles, when you need to reorder.  A few colors are "Unique" though to this set, but you can find close matches in the normal line.

Paint and washes in one. AP washes are a must for the hobby. AP paints are great for any genre of minis and are reliable.
