My dog's favorite ball and possibly his favorite toy of all. He is a boxer mix, about 55 lbs, aggressive chewer. He can quickly shred most toys and bones. These balls hold up well - after a few months of use, he was able to tear a few small pieces off the first one I bought him, but it was still functional. This ball bounces very well, better than a tennis ball, although slightly smaller in diameter. This size is good for him, as he can carry it around, slam dunk it on the floor, toss it up and catch it himself, and even toss it to me. But if your dog is larger, you might want to consider the next larger size to protect against getting stuck in the throat. The ball is very lively and makes for some good play, even indoors if you have the room.

These are amazing for a dog that loves playing fetch. My vet actually recommended them as too much fetch with a tennis ball would make my dog’s gums bleed. He is a border collie and would play for hours on end. He even likes bouncing these balls off his nose like he’s a seal or something. Anyway, he loves these and they work in the ball launchers also. They have lasted for over six months and still bounce like brand new and he has not chewed through one of them yet. Also easier to find in the yard due to the bright colors. I definitely recommend these balls. I have several for inside and others for outside play.

My dog has had balls by this manufacturer in the past. Unfortunately living on the third floor of an apartment building, and having a dog with a sense of humor, I was constantly going down to the first floor to pick the balls up after she threw them off the balcony. No one was injured. The same color, same brand. The picture is a little deceiving so these are bigger than what you might guess from looking at the picture. They don't fit perfectly in a small dog's mouth so look for some that are smaller than this. Fortunately my dog is about 30 lb so they seem to work pretty well for her. Less than that though I would go with a smaller size. Nice product, well made.

Much Tougher Than Expected

I'm amazed at how tough these balls are. Up to now, my go-to brand has been Kong, but my dogs (Scotties) wear the Kong squeakies out in a few weeks. The Chuckit balls last at least twice as long, despite being lighter and thinner-feeling. I bought my first Chuckit balls on a whim when the Kong balls were out of stock. When I first tossed out a Chuckit ball, the dogs grabbed it, dropped it, and looked at me like "WTF???". A couple of tosses later and they were a hit.
