About the Author

Keri Beevis wrote her first novel at age twenty, but it was a further twenty years before she was published after winning a contract in the Rethink Press New Novels Competition 2012. Born in the village of Old Catton, less than a mile from where Anna Sewell was living when she wrote Black Beauty, Keri had a passion for reading and writing from a young age, though her tastes veered more to the macabre. Today she still lives in Norwich, along with her two naughty kitties, Ellie and Lola, and a plentiful supply of red wine (her writing fuel), where she writes a comedic lifestyle column for a local magazine. She loves Hitchcock movies, exploring creepy places, and gets extremely competitive in local pub quizzes. She is also a self-confessed klutz. Keri joined the Bloodhound team in 2019 and her first release with them, the psychological thriller, Dying To Tell, which is set in her beautiful home county of Norfolk, has been her biggest success to date, with over 1200 four and five star ratings on Goodreads. She is now looking forward to the relaunch of her three earlier novels in 2020.

I could not put this book down. Another excellent book by Keri Beevis. Had me on the edge of my seat the entire read.....loved it so much!

Book review...hmmm. what can one say without sounding cliche' and pedestrian?

It is obvious, from the first few pages that this book is the work of a marvelous talent seeking an outlet and finding it between these covers. Granted, the work starts off a bit in the shallow end but quickly finds itself assaulting depths of imagination and plot twists that are so engrossing, so tantalizing, so "I-must-read-faster-to-see-what's-on-the-next-page!"-ish frenzy inducing word craft that one is almost shouting warnings to the characters and trying to defend against villains that, although introduced early on, appear to pop up out of nowhere, leaves your hand covering your mouth in a gesture of "of course! I should have seen that!" This is my first keri beevis read...almost certain it wont be my last. Excellent job.

I love this author but this was probably my least favorite of her books so far, but yes I will continue to read her books because she's amazing. That said I just didn't get sucked into this one, I had almost all of it figured out from the jump and just felt bored. However all her other work I've read is wonderful so if this is your first book by her don't give up if you feel how I did on this one.

I wouldn't call this a psychological thriller but it is a very good mystery. So many books these days have such unlikable characters so it was enjoyable to read a book that had characters I liked. There was one small part when the main Male character, Jack, was extremely mean to female main character, Lila. He could be moody but for the most part he was likable. The mystery was good. I figured out much of it but it was still good. I enjoyed the journey through this book. Often lately it seems I'm skimming and just trying to find out the ending. There is some humor. There is a love story but not insta love.

I have never read any books by Keri Bevis before, I actually had this book on my Kindle unlimited for a year, once I started reading I could not put it down. The plot was good, loved the writing style, the characters, the drama, the intrigue, the love story.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a mystery, I never would have thought of who the killer was. It was unputadownable. Looking forward to reading her other books.

This is exactly why I love Psychological thrillers. I JUST CAN'T PUT THEM DOWN.

Keri Beevis' writing pulled me in from the first moment and I loved every minute of it. It was fast-paced, unbelievably chilling and crazy as hell.

I'd definitely recommend you to check it out if you're a psych thriller buff like me.

5.0 out of 5 stars A complex and compelling thriller, told with real flair - highly recommended!

While being driven home from a date, Lila Amberson ends up in a terrible car accident that leaves her with a broken leg and post traumatic stress. But that's not all. Strange things start to happen. Someone is watching her, following her, trying to hurt her - and the closer she comes to remembering what actually happened the night of the crash, the greater the danger to to her life.

From the opening chapters of Dying to Tell, I knew I was settling in for a great read. So many little plot hooks are embedded in your mind - what really happened on the date? How did she end up in the crash? Who saved her, and what were their true motives? But this book isn't just a shlocky roll-out of sub par thrills, there's real heart here. Lila's a great lead character, warm and funny and resourceful; the tension builds in steady, compelling increments, backed by a complex plot that all comes together in a series of fantastic ah-ha! moments; the ending twists one way, then the other, coming together in a thrilling final scene.

It's the sign of a good book that I saved the last third to read when I wouldn't be disturbed. To be honest, if it wasn't for the real world getting in the way, I probably would have read the whole thing in one go. A great book, can't wait for her next one!
