Looks:
I got mine in Navy Blue (just to be a bit different). They look awesome! (see pic). I got bored of black Bose and Sennheiser, it was time for a change.
Pairing:
I see a lot of questions about pairing with laptops. I have the headset paired up with MacBook Pro running MacOS Big Sur and Samsung Galaxy S7 phone at the same time with no issues. I can take call from MS Teams on my laptop and pick up regular phone calls from my phone without unnecessary switching/clicking. Easy.
Sound Quality:
Amazing. On par if not better than that of Bose QC II's. I listen to all kinds of music while working. I like electronic music with lots of bass and this headset delivers. I will also listen to anything from metal to classical and all genres some through loud and clear. I have not messed around with the equalizer yet as I did not see the need. They sound very good in "default" mode.
Calling/Conferencing:
Again, I saw a lot of people complaining about Noice Cancelling being "off" while on a call. After doing some research, it turns out this is a "feature" which you can easily disable. All you have to do is open the Jabra Sound+ app on your phone and go to the "cog wheel" settings menu -> Headset Settings -> Call Experience -> Sidetone and turn it off (see pic). Done. You will no longer hear yourself and everything else going on around you while on a call. The Sidetone feature being on is my only con about the headset: this feature should be OFF by default as it's discouraging a lot of customers and probably causing people to return the headset when there's no need.
I do a lot of conferencing for work via Microsoft Teams from the MacBook and the headphones are excellent for it. I've actually done a test with a coworker of Teams and asked him about the sound quality coming from my headphones' microphone. He said: perfect. Regular phone calls are sounding good as well.
Comfort:
Super comfortable for extended sessions. I keep them on most of the workdays to either be in Teams meetings or listen to music. I don't feel the need to take them off at all. I found Sennheiser's cups to be too small. These are big enough and there's extra room for your ears. Sennheiser's comparable model also hurt the top of my head after only about an hour. No issues here. I had no issues with Bose QC IIs either, but at this price point, this headset wins.
Controls:
Easy and intuitive. Most controls are on the right ear: volume up and down, stop/start music and/or call, . Level of ANC on the left ear. Twist the right cup 45 degrees to turn the headset on/off. I like things simple and this is simple enough.
Features:
There are many. I personally love how the headset pauses the audio when taken off and restarts as soon as I put it back on. It also has all kinds of settings for going into stand-by mode. Battery life is amazing.
Don't overthink this one (like I did). It's a very high quality headset at a very good price point. If Bose is too expensive for you, go for this one without hesitation. I have to say I was not expecting a feature set and quality standard this high from Jabra. I was wrong.

ANC: it's not bad. I work in the living room and do editing so I needed good headphones that could block out the sounds of the tv when the misses is binge-watching SG1. It does a decent job (better than my $10 earbuds ever did) but I see this more as it'll lower the sound around me so I can better enjoy my music, then completely block out everything. I'd say 7/10 for this.
Transparency: this was the big reason I bought this. I like to game with my friends and on occasion record it, and I'm one of those few that has a hard time wearing headphones on both ears while talking. I usually will only have a headphone on one ear, or only slightly covering one side, so I can still hear myself talk. This mode is a godsend since many of the games we play utilize stereo audio and I need to be able to hear where a sound is coming from, while also hear myself talk when needed. Easily, this is 10/10.
The app: Outside of getting firmware updates for the headphones, I don't see a real need to download this. I do some audio equalizing I guess, and it's cool that's an option, but as someone who edits his audio, I'll always be leaving this setting on neutral. Nearly all of the things you do in the app can be done with button presses on the headphones. The only things that really stood out as unique to the app was the "locate my headphones" if you lose them, which I feel is going to be a limited problem, but hey, maybe it'll come in handy for you. I do wish I could edit my personal eq for when I'm using transparency, since I always have a fan on in the room and just need to lower the highs so I'm not listening to fan static all the time, but maybe that'll come out in the future. There is one other thing about the app:
Smartsound: The ai that listens to your surroundings and auto updates your settings for the best listening experience, and that is only available when connected to the app. This was a wild letdown for me, as all it does is jump between 4 possible settings, which you set. It's some combination of the ANC, transparency, or no sound mode, with possible EQ variations allowed for each. It will recognize if you are in private, in public, or in commute, and then there's one just labelled as "my moment" which I'm assuming I have to select myself? I had hoped this Smartsound AI meant it would mean something like it would better recognize where the noise is coming from and do a better job of silencing it, but no luck. This seems more like if I'm doing my grocery shopping and traveling between stores without taking off the headphones, it'll auto change for when you're in the store (ANC) to when you're driving (Transparency) Cool idea, but this is one setting I wouldn't really care for. This was a huge reason I purchased this over others, to be honest. The app gets a 2/10 pretty much only for the ability to change settings and run updates for the headphones, but also the voice/bleep sounds when you press buttons can be deafening and I wish there was a way to turn them down separately.
Device integration: Something I did not realize, and this is going to sound like an odd complaint probably, but these are made solely for mobile devices. I got these for my desktop computer for work, so that was just a little shocking. While you can plug them in with the included headphone cable just fine, it turns off the bluetooth mode and disconnects it from your phone. I was hoping I could somehow control the settings with my phone while using it for my pc, but I'm realizing now that there's not much point to the app so honestly I guess it's not a big deal. Pressing the volume buttons on the headset doesn't raise/lower the volume on your phone, just the volume of the headset. This I usually find nice as your device might be on the quieter side, so you now have audio boosting power built in, but since these are noise cancelling I feel this is more of a nuisance. As usual if your device audio is too low and your headphones are too high, you get static. You have to do the dance with the volume bar on your device and the buttons on your headset to eliminate it, which, again, means blowing out your ears because of the loud and isolated bloop sounds you can't turn off or lower. Also I haven't tried it yet (will update when it happens) but if the battery hits 0%, they can no longer be used wired or something? Or possibly just the sound modes. I did try out using it while connected to the headphone jack and charging port at the same time and it was fully functioning, so at least there is that option if it hits 0. I'm gonna refrain from rating this one at the moment since it would be low, but that's only because of how I want to use it, so hopefully I was descriptive enough you could make up your own opinion. I also cannot tell if you can use the mic on a pc, since the included cable is only for a headphone jack. I'm going to try buying a cheap headphone/mic cable and see how it goes.
Comfort: maybe it's because I haven't had them long, but they're real stiff. I have a larger-ish head and I'm currently growing out my hair for charity, so yes, it has a lot to get around just to get to my ears, but I can't seem to get it to a place where it's equally balanced; resting on the top of my head without squeezing my ears from both sides. Hoping this is a problem only I'm having and that resolves with time, but otherwise I'm not certain if I can use them for long editing sessions. Honestly considering letting them stretch out on a book overnight or something because they don't extend much and are real uncomfy to rest hanging on my neck, let alone on my head at the moment. They're also on the heavier side, which they've got more tech in them than standard headphones so that makes sense, but when I'm having trouble figuring out how to rest them on my head, it's a bit more weight than I'd like compressing my cranium.
Ect: There's not really much for documentation. the box has a paper telling you to download the app in several different languages, and that's pretty much it. The app has a basic rundown of the buttons, which didn't seem right for my device and was only 2-3 screens? I mean, nothing I could find could even tell me which side was left and right, I had to flip them back and forth over and over to see which way was more comfy (a challenge for me, as you read in the last paragraph. side note, the cuff with the buttons is your right side) The cable it comes with is a great length if you're just working at a laptop (like I am) and is super light weight and unnoticeable, that made me very happy. They came charged to 50% when I opened them, and I plugged them in for maybe 20 minutes and they got up to around 80%, so the battery refill is great on these. I'll see how the drain is when being used regularly for work with the sound modes running.
Closing notes: These I think are good for the price. The sound quality seems great, some of the features are above average, but with how much of it didn't feel like it was living up to the description, I probably would've saved up or bought something else. I don't believe I'll return these, but I'll give it a few days of work to see how they fare and try to report back.

UPDATE:
________________________________
So it's been a little bit now since I initially bought and reviewed them, and I've updated my review from 3 to 4 stars.
ANC: It won't block out everything, but I'll tell you what, I have 4 dogs that love to bark at my 2 new cats, and the little button on the side doesn't mute them completely, but certainly gets enough off that my music can hide the rest. The next week or two of them getting used to their presence is going to be so much easier.
Transparency: Still top notch. I played a few game nights with my friends and forgot I was even wearing the headphones, while still being able to hear stereo sound. Fantastic.
App: haven't opened it once
Smartsound: Honestly useless for me. I don't mean to be rude, but this really sounded way better than it was and I still stress I would've searched somewhere else had I known what that mode was. But again, to use it you need the app, which I haven't found a need for a single time.
Device Integration: You can with the right amount of fiddling use these as bluetooth headphones for pc, and using the right software you can have them control the volume of the computer instead of the headphones separately. In fact, I was able to link the media play and pause button that would normally only work on my phone to play and pause whatever video or music I have playing on my pc, without clicking away from my work. Super helpful when I'm animating on my drawing tablet. Wish this were an easier thing to set up, but I guess I am using them improperly, which is part of why I still couldn't bring myself to give it 5 stars; unclear description. Both for the smartsound thing, and that they aren't made to be used outside of mobile devices.
Comfort: They've stretched out with time, and are much more comfortable now. I still can't wear them around my neck, but at least wearing them on my head is comfortable enough now.
Etc: It took several days of regular use to drain them to 0%, which was a good sign. Even when plugged into a headphone jack, they will give you an audio warning that they're going to die soon, which is also helpful. Once it hits 0% I wanted to make sure they could be fully used while charging, and sure enough they can be. They function totally normal if the usb is charging them, even from completely dead, and they can charge nice and quick too, so if you don't want to deal with the usb cable you can take a lunch break and let them charge up.
New closing notes: I did have some weird popping noise in the left cuff, which seems to be common from what I'm reading. This happened after a shower, and only while it was on a sound mode, so my guess is that my wet hair may have gotten moisture on the mic system that it uses for ANC and transparency. Again, I just turned the sound mode off while I was working and the next morning found them operating fine. For what these are, I feel like they work very well and were probably about the right price range, but I really do wish some clarity were made to the smartsound ai, and the use of it on desktops. That is the only real reason I can't bring myself to give it 5 stars.
Oh, the charging cable it provides is a 6 inch ucb c. Not sure why it's so ridiculously short, and I personally find it strange and somewhat cheap that a device "meant for mobile devices" doesn't include a 50 cent ac adapter, and assumes that you either have one, or have a pc you can plug it into, but I digress. To save the port from wear and tear, I bought a magnetic usb cable, so it's easier to charge it when I set it down, and don't have to worry as often about getting the low battery warning.
But then after about a year and a half, the headphones began to break down. The wired port became loose and won't fit my wide array of 3.5mm Jack's relatively suddenly. Shifting the left headphone causes static, and I imagine the wiring in its starting to go. Volume up button occasionally makes the volume go down, and it will enter pairing mode semi randomly. Quite sad as I took care to make sure to always use the carrying case when transporting.
For the price I got them, at 150, I would have hoped for a little longer lifespan, but it's just a slight disappointment.

- You cannot control MS Teams or Skype from the headset, like disconnect a call. The Evolve series does that.
- It tends to feel heavy on your head and your ears warm after 8 hours of use, so there is a sense of relief when you take it off.
Could work very well under different circumstances. But in my case, given the price, it was not a justifiable purchase.
