Brighton Walsh

Award-winning USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author Brighton Walsh spent nearly a decade as a professional photographer before taking her storytelling in a different direction and reconnecting with her first love: writing. When she’s not lost in her own made up worlds, she’s probably either reading or shopping—maybe even both at once. She lives in the Midwest with her real life hero of a husband, her two kids—both taller than her—and her dog who thinks she’s a queen. Her boy-filled house is the setting for dirty socks galore, frequent dance parties (okay, so it's mostly her, by herself, while her children look on in horror), and more laughter than she thought possible. Hide & Seek. H.D. Carlton

Sexy, Spicy, Seductive. Cat & Mouse continues. It's always such a joy to read about these two.

Hide & seek is a quick read. That is steamy and addicting; I have missed Addie and zade, still one of my favorite couples, and this novella gives us a glimpse of the next part of their journey. Zade is still the stalker we all know we love.

I loved reading every minute.

Haunted Holiday by Taryn Quinn
I loved this short story of Macy and John Gideon from Daddy in Disguise. Gideon plans a surprise trip to Salem MA for his wife that loves everything Halloween and Horror. This is a quick steamy read that can be read as a standalone but I can guarantee once you meet these Teri you’re going to want more of them.

Love

I’ll be reviewing these as I read

Smut & Murder - Kennedy Fox

Dylan and Jessica have been married for two years now. They go back to Key West where they originally met and are enjoying being together. They wanna have a baby… so they have to practice doing so 😉🔥🥵💦. Everything’s going well until Jessica’s previous f buddy, Liam, shows up and lets them know he manages the hotel they’re staying at. Dylan is P!SSED, especially because this man’s very touchy feely with Jessica. All’s going well until Liam’s found dead 😬.

I really enjoyed this one. It was very smutty 😉🔥
⚠️safety squad⚠️no cheating/sharing/owd
-praise kink/edging
-OMD- the h’s ex ONS runs the hotel they’re at. He’s very touchy flirty with the h and the H blows a gasket 😬😅. The H puts him in his place 💅

Conrad & Wyn- extended epilogue - Saffron A. Kent

Swooon! I didn’t realize I needed an extended epilogue for These Thorn Kisses and SAK delivers! Wyn and Conrad are looking for a place and while Wyn is about to say no, Conrad bulldozes in and says otherwise 🥹. Why? Because he’ll do anything for his Wallflower ❤️. Swooooon!!!! It made me feel warm and gooey and just happy to see them in their HEA. Sigh. I want more ❤️
4.5 stars 🥹❤️

More- A Real Man Short- Jenika Snow

Jeezus 🥵🥵🥵 this is just 🔥🔥🔥💦💦💦. Dirty talk. Curvy short h Penny (38) goes to the bar to have a drink after having a horrible day at work when she meets the blue eyes of tall, big and strong lumberjack Ryan (same age). They’ve known each other all their lives, went to school together, and now.. Tension sparks and then it’s just

And more smex
🔥🥵💦. Sigh. Yup. These two are insatiable 😅😅😉😉😉
Dirty talk, praise, ripping of clothes, dirty talk, lots of pleasing, did I mention dirty talk?🔥role playing, spanking, no c0nd0m,

I loved it. 4 stars ❤️

One Woman’s Ex is Another Woman’s Orgasm- A Standalone Wildwood Society Short- Roxie Noir

Bridget has been secretly dating her best friend’s ex. Ash and Lucy only dated a few months, but Lucy was crushed.
Ash and Bridget have amazing chemistry, and they 🔥 a lot. At this point, they’ve been smexing for about six months now… and Lucy has no idea 😬.

This is very short. We’re put right into the middle of their relationship, so we don’t see how it all started. It was a nice, quick, and VERY steamy/sexy story 🥵🔥.

And, they bonded over Breaking Bad lol
Edging/condoms
⚠️safe. There’s a misunderstanding where the h thinks the H’s with OW but he’s not. It’s a friend.

Transcendental bonus content by Persephone Autumn - 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This was heartfelt and it was such a pleasure to see how Maddie and Fletcher's love has grown since the retreat they met at in Transcendental. It has the same feel of the main book and the writing gave me all the feels! Even with the short length, you get a lovely glimpse into their beautiful love story. I kept sighing and my heart just felt at home while reading. Such a sweet addition to a perfect couple!

The Cabin Between Us by Dani René - 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This was a short, second chance romance about Calandra and Kolton who let youth and influence drive a wedge between what could have been the greatest love of all time. It's short, but packs a very captivating punch that will make your heart race and root for them. His grovel was the best! Only complaint - I didn't want it to end! Can't wait to read more about this couple!

Review for Hide & Seek by H.D. Carlton
Oh my God,” I breathe, shuddering as he sinks deeper, his palm sliding up to my breast and cupping it tightly.
I feel him grin against me before he whispers, “I am your God, and you, little mouse, are my favorite creation.”

The amount of pure giddiness that this novella gave me. You have no idea. NO IDEA. Now I am not usually a reader who likes bonus content for characters who already got a satisfying HEA. Unless these characters are Adeline and Zade. Because I swear to god, these two can spend the entire book reading off their grocery list, and I'd read it. Because Adeline and Zade!!! And if you haven't yet read the Cat and Mouse duet, you haven't lived. Trust me on this. If you're a fan of dark romance with psycho stalkers who would burn the world down for their woman, you will fall head over ovaries for Zade. But I digress.

Hide and Seek is a bonus story for these two and when I tell you it was incendiary, I mean my loins are on fire. This was the hottest freaking novella I have read. And when I tell you it hit the spot just right, I will say it was one of the most satisfying novellas I have ever read. Pun intended. Because holy mother this was hot! It was bonus content I didn't know I needed but I am so happy to have! SO. FREAKING. GOOD.

Dissent has stories from a bunch of different authors. I looked at the list, and I feel like there will be at least one author that will make you want to read it.
I had the opportunity to read The First Day of Forever by Heidi McLaughlin. I loved it. It's a short story from the POVs of Liam and Josie, and if you know who they are, then you need to read this one. It's a quick read, and I was able to read it during lunch break.

HER ORC MATE by Zoe Ashwood

This was a short and steamy orc romance prequel novella that introduces Zoe's upcoming series! I've come to really love Zoe's writing and world-building, and this little snippet has me excited for the series to come. Uram is yummy and protective in the best ways, and I can't wait to see the other orcs find their mates♡

Tropes: fated mates, knotting, monster romance, protector hero, heroine-in-danger

"He's a sick f*ck, yet somehow, I'm in love with him anyway."

One of the biggest highlights this week was being selected to receive an ARC of HD Carlton's part of the Dissent, romance anthology.

I absolutely needed to be back with Addie and Zade, the house, the "energies" there, the sexiness, the sassiness. ALL OF IT.

If you loved the Cat and Mouse duet, and, like me, constantly miss these two, you're going to definitely want to get your hands on this.

This was the perfect Addie and Made fix that my soul needed.

I've written six new chapters of Owen & Charlize for this anthology that released today!!

My short story is titled "Marrying a Gala Girl" and it features all the gala girls, Owen & Charlize, their moms (The Squad), and a whole lot of fun and banter. I loved writing every word of this!
I've shared a sneak peek below.

For National Read a Book day, DISSENT will be released in eBook and three paperback volumes!

DISSENT is a charity romance anthology with NEW, never before published content from over 150 authors of various romance subgenres. Here's an excerpt from the story (if you've not read Owen North yet, you may not want to read this - just scroll past):

**********************************************

Charlize's POV

Whoever said your wedding day is the happiest day of your life, didn’t have to endure four months of The Squad.

I love my mother and I adore Owen’s mother, but holy mother of too much.

“We are never divorcing,” I say to Owen as I follow him into the bedroom of the Grand Penthouse suite of The Plaza hotel the night before our wedding.

He doesn’t even stop at what I’ve said. He continues striding into the room, throwing over his shoulder, “That was never an option.”

“No, I’m being serious, Owen.” I place my purse on the bed as he walks into the bathroom. “Don’t ever come to me and tell me you want a divorce because I will never agree to one.”

He walks back into the bedroom, a determined look on his face. “And I was being deadly serious when I said divorce was never an option.” He pauses. “What’s caused you to bring this up?”

I hold my cell phone up to him, showing him the texts from our mothers. “This! Honestly, they will be the death of me. We’re getting married tomorrow. Tomorrow! And they’re still trying to get me to change my mind about my dress. Like, do they just have replacement dresses on hand? I’m staying married to you forever to make the four months of Squad hell count.” My eyes go wide. “I think I’m going to throw my phone away. If you need to contact me before the wedding, you’ll have to go through Poppy.”

Poppy is staying with me in this suite tonight while Owen stays in the King Penthouse Suite. We’ve just arrived back after dinner with everyone and I’m almost regretting our decision to spend tonight apart. I’m feeling all kinds of anxious thanks to The Squad and their unrelenting demands. I think I need Owen with me tonight.

Owen comes to me and pulls me into his arms. “I know the last four months have been a lot for you, and I’m sorry that all landed on your shoulders.” He bends his face to mine and kisses me. “We’re almost there.”

I grip his shirt. “I know, but what will come after the wedding?”

He frowns. “What do you mean?”

“Honestly, you men are so clueless sometimes. My prediction is they’ll start hounding us for children starting tomorrow.”

“We’ll be in Australia soon. Far away from their hounding.”

“I repeat, clueless. You don’t seriously think a million miles between us will stop them from finding ways to harass us, do you?”

He chuckles and brushes his lips over mine again. Then, turning more serious, he says, “I’ll make it clear that we’re done with the hounding.”

“You better or I may just stop getting on my knees for you.”

Heat flares in his eyes and I am sure I see his brain figuring out how to score a blowjob while Poppy is downstairs in the penthouse waiting for us.

I let his shirt go and step away from him. “Stop thinking about my lips around your dick. It’s not happening tonight.”

“Fuck,” he rasps. “The next time you talk me into things after giving me a blowjob, I’m not listening.”

He’s right, I did talk him into us not staying together tonight after I blew him.

Our mothers were horrified that we planned a dinner with our family and friends tonight, and when I mentioned us staying together, they lost their cool completely. They’re both big believers in the groom not seeing the bride the night before the wedding. Somehow, they got me to agree to stay apart, which meant I then had to find a way to get Owen to agree. Blowjobs for the win, always.

“Baby,” I say, “let’s be real. I could talk you into giving me the world after I blow you.”

“You could talk me into that without the blowjob, Charlize.” And just like that, those blue eyes of his flare with far more than heat. They flare with all the love in the world.

I've been asked if this short story will be available at a later date, not in the anthology. The answer is yes. It's exclusive to the anthology for this year. After that, I can publish it myself.

This review will continually be updated over the next few months as I read more and more of the stories within this anthology that has been put together for a very important cause/reason.

My Angel Girl by Kathy Coopmans:
For me this started out well and had my interest piqued, but with such a small word count there was only so much that could happen so of course the heat got turned up instead of suspense/action...
I will say though that this is one series that has been sitting on my kindle for far too long and I must move it up my list asap.

Protecting Hope by Jane Blythe:
This little story for an amazing anthology was everything I was hoping for. I could not get enough, even though it was jam packed with action and emotion despite the small word count and that speaks volumes of the author's talent.
This is definitely not to be missed especially since the author has no plans for it to be released on it's own, so would be a crime not to experience what I just did.

Prove It was a steamy addition to Dissent: A Charity Romance Anthology!  From those first few pages I was hooked.  I absolutely loved Rachel.  She had no problem speaking her mind.  And her interactions with a man in a bar who was sexy, mysterious and knew how to take control had me finishing this story in one sitting.  Rachel wasn't able to see him, but she could feel him and the whole situation was erotic *fans face*.  I had to know what happened next. I loved how he was controlling in the most perfect of ways and that he also realized there could be a limit.  Together they were so much fun!
“Just say the word, and I’ll leave you alone, understood?”
I pressed my lips together and tightened my grip around him.
He groaned. “Did you hear me?”
I nodded. “I just didn’t know which word would make you leave me alone, so I didn’t want to risk using any of them.”

Oh Adam *sighs out loud*.  He was magnificent.  I loved his back story and how he got to where he was.  And I loved even more that we got some of the chapters in his voice.  His moments with Rachel were seductive and steamy.  And while this book was beyond scorching hot, there was also a beautiful romance story in there too.  One that left me rooting for them and their HEAs.  So by the time we got to that final page, my heart was so happy!  If you're looking for a steamy, quick read that will leave you smiling then I can't recommend Prove It enough!  I would have gladly read this as a full size novel.  There was so much within the story that could have led it there, but it also worked perfectly for a short story.  Definitely don't miss out on this story within this anthology!
I didn’t regret a second of it, and I prayed she didn’t either.

*I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book, provided by the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.*

I’m a lover of anthologies especially when they are written for the proceeds to go to charity. And being a woman, this particular charity is very important.

One story that stood out to me was Forever Home by Lissanne Jones. Being I read Coming Home and Finding Home, I knew I would enjoy this too. I love the entire Whittaker family, and Luke and Evie and Cody and Autumn hold a special place in my heart. This short made me feel all warm and tingly and I loved reading how their lives turned out. Plus Luke and Evie still have hot, steamy chemistry! Take a chance on this family, you will love them as much as I do!

Another fantastic story is Forever In Love by J.Saman. This story is about unrequited love between two best friends, Austin & Tate. Both have had feelings for each other for so long but neither acted upon it. Until one day, fate steps in and changes their path to each other. For a short story it sure does pack a punch! And steamy?!! Oh, my, YES! I would love to read this in a full length version and I was captivated by these two. Tate is a breath of fresh air and is described as beautiful. And Austin is one hot doctor! A definite must read!

One particular story, The Cabin Between Us by Dani Rene, really stood out to me. While this may be a short story, it sure does pack quite a bit into it! Calandra has been asked to come home, but she has no idea why, except she just can’t stay away. When she sees Kolton, her memories attack her and she isn’t sure if she should stay or go. Why is Kolton here? What could he want? But Calandra knows there must be a specific reason and she is determined to find out! I enjoyed both these characters and their chemistry is sizzling. I hope that this author makes this story into a full length book!

I need more of Serena and Evan. Goodness me, their passion was explosive. I absolutely loved Take Me in the Shadows, but this novella killed me when it ended. I need more, a lot more! Like the in-between, but I of course understand that a novella is just a short story. This was a damn amazing short story.

I admire the strength and can-do attitude that Serena has. But boy do I love the alpha male that Evan is. From their first heated moment of passion to the years that separated them there was no way around their chemistry. It was definitely inevitable and Evan was not going to leave without an answer. Of course their circumstances were special. I can't imagine getting with an uncle's friend and he being okay with it when he found out. I guess that's what makes Serena special and being an adult has its advantages.

I'm just so happy that they got their HEA. Even if it was one that hadn't crossed Serena's mind. Evan was always one step ahead.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of Take Me in the Shadows by USA Today Bestselling Author R. L. Kenderson, one of the novellas in this anthology.

Take Me in the Shadows was the perfect novella for the Take Me series and for this anthology! The subject matter is spot on. If you’re looking for a steamy, sexy, and quick read that also touches on real world situations, this is for you! This entire anthology is filled with phenomenal stories with a real world touch.

This is a group of romance authors who have put together short stories for charity organisations benefiting reproductive rights across the USA. This is a cause dear to my heart so I was more that happy to review a couple of the short stories by Toni Aleo and Lea Coll while I wait for the anthology to be released. Please once click and help support this cause.

Her Choice - Toni Aleo
This quick read broke my heart, I felt every emotion Cam felt as she made one of the hardest decisions she would ever make in her life. We met Cameron (Cam) and Benson (Benny) in Callie and Evan’s story and I was excited to see where life had taken them . What I didn’t expect was their short story to pack so many punches, it’s more than a story, it’s a message that a woman’s body is her own and it’s her choice what she does with it. Cam May have had the support of her friends and the babies father but that didn’t mean her decision was taken lightly. This author is never afraid of writing about difficult subjects and she really did everyone proud with this touching and emotional journey abd I’m excited for this couple to get a full length novel.

Irresistible Choice -Lea Coll
What happens when two strangers end up spending the night together because of a storm and a hurt animal well you are about to find out in Delilah and Dexter’s quick read. Delilah should be off limits as the sister if Dexter’s friend and business partner but we can’t always control our heart and it seems fate is determined to push these two together. But can Dexter confidence Delilah to take a chance and cross the line ……. I’m excited for this couple to get a full length novel.

Two wonderful contributions to this romance anthology.

Nothing beats a great anthology that packs steam and punch, but when it's for an amazing cause that makes it even better. I can't wait to read every story in this one because I know they will be amazing, and this cause is a must!

First review is for Forever in love by J. Saman
In this amazing short story Austin is finally gets his chance that he has been waiting years for. When he gets the call his best friend, Tate, has finally ended things with her on again off again boyfriend and is moving to Boston. Austin is elated in so many ways and offers his friend his house to live with intentions of slowly becoming something more. Tate has hated that for years she has been friend zoned by the guy she has loved for 11 years, but how is she supposed to make him see her as something more. The tension is thick, add a crazy storm, and a steamy moment that no one can forget and will these two finally admit what has been brewing for a long time or let it slip through their fingers? I would love to see their story expanded but this quick and hot read gets the job done and leaves you very satisfied. AMAZING!!!!!!

Promising Forever by Patricia Eddy:
It’s always special when I read the characters in this series, but there was always something that held Dax and Evianna really close to my heart, so when I got to read more from them, I was excited. Knowing Dax’s story and all he endured you know he has so much strength, yet he still struggles with everyday things and watching Evianna love him through it all warms my heart. Also, getting to see him interact with Ryker and the others shows us the bonds and pain they all carry, but the resilience they have. These characters are ones you fall for and never want the stories to end, but are always smiling when it’s over.

Simple Smile by Tawna Fenske:
Sebastian is amazing and he always has me smiling in this short novella it wasn’t any different. He loves hard and protects those he loves even more, but he never stops Nicole from being just as amazing as he is no matter the danger and is so supportive. These two argue but love hard and I was so happy to see a little more into their everyday lives. The way this group of friends and family come together to lend help and protection is not only admirable, but amazing.

Dance Poles and Tea For Two by Jasmin Miller:
Hunter (swwoooon), is just one of those guys you fall for and want to know everything about him, so when we get more from him and Daisy I loved it. I also loved seeing the others come together to support each other and as always have each other’s backs. I really wish we never had to leave this group of guys, but I am so glad that I met them.

Virtuous Lies Extended Epi by Haley Jenner:
Vincent and that mouth has easily become a favorite of mine. This short epilogue reminded me that it’s time to go back and enjoy him from the beginning again because he can make things hawt in no time. Also, the possessiveness he has when it comes to Bianca could make anyone sweat. Love this guy and this world!!

Birthday Girl by Jillian Liota:
“Bas” and Savannah a one night stand that heats up quick. Such a steamy and cute short story love these two.

So much more stories to come!

I’m Hooked!!

MC lovers this is a book you want to get your hands on because it is full of everything from a bad*ss biker who kidnaps a woman for paying the price her father left her with to steam and club drama. This was a huge page turner for me and I can’t wait to read more on Hero and Ophelia’s story. It will definitely be a one click read for me.

This is the beginning of a new series from this author and this story of the men from Kings of Anarchy MC I know will be amazing.

One Wild Night by Erica Alexander

Five spicy stars!!!!!

This is such a fun book, and oh, so sexy.
The author packed so much story in this short novella, and I love that it's a stand alone, so I didn't have to read anything else to understand and love these characters.

I love the way Jayden and Callie met, and how swoony he is.

And the steam? Is it hot in here or is it this book?
Spoiler alert! It's the book!

Grab this anthology, contribute to an amazing caus, and then read this little story.
I'm off to go read all of Erica's other books now.

This review is for Property of Hero by Glenna Maynard. This is a quick read that introduces you to a new MC chapter, Kings of Anarchy. I really like the storyline and how this new club is starting out. It gives you just enough of a story; kind of like a tease, a taste of something more to come. Hero and Ophelia grab a hold of you from start to finish. Their brief introduction is only just the beginning. I look forward to reading more about these characters and seeing how their story is going to play out.

The next review is for Brute by Morgan Jane Mitchell. First off I've got to say this a really good read. It is written well with likable characters. This is Brute and Jayne's beginning. They are quiet the opposites that met by a chance encounter in the jungle. These two have a tale to tell. I loved their story, especially the Tarzan/Jane vibe except with a twist. I really liked the storyline too. It gives just enough of a story that it had me left with wanting more. Steamy, fast paced and a page turner.

The First Day of Forever by Heidi McLaughlin
I can’t get enough of this series. Anytime I can get more of Liam & Josie sign me up. I absolutely love this couple and so glad they got the happy ending they both deserve.

Loved it!
Absolutely fantastic story by Sarah M Cradit! She has a short story set in the Kingdom of the White Sea and has crossover characters from her December 2023 release The Claw and The Crowned. It does contain a spoiler, but a) I love spoilers and b) it's done in a way that it doesn't overwhelm the short story and it guides the drama to create a great flow.

One thing that that is typically harder for me with short stories is that it's easy for me to not feel connected to the characters and this was so not the case. I found myself attached to Francis and Clarisan from the start and could feel the love, the connection, the sense of duty, and the longing.

This review is for Take Me in the Shadows:
I loved this third book to this series!! Serena is a new nurse graduate ready to take the work world on after an adventure with her friends. She hooks up with one of her uncle’s former SEAL buddies and keeps their night a secret. Including the pink bundle of joy. However secrets have a way of getting discover and sparks fly when Evan and Serena reconnect. This was such a great and quick read!! Absolutely loved it!!

I had the chance to read “An Ocean Away” by Sarah M Cradit as part of this anthology, and I loved it. A short story that is both beautiful alone but also incorporates aspects for a much anticipated release of SMC for December, it was everything I didn’t even know I wanted! I loved this!

Another great short story by Glenna Maynard, Property of Hero, where proceeds will go for a fantastic charity.

So far in this anthology I have read Property of Hero. It’s a short story of Kings of Anarchy MC where Hero is the VP. Hero kidnaps Ophelia for payment from a debt that her father owes.

Another story I have read is Brute by Morgan Jane Mitchelle.
Brute and Jayne were an unexpected pair. Brute saves Jayne from being attacked by a tiger and takes her back to his cave. They spend several nights in the African jungle together.

This book ends on a cliffhanger and I can't wait to read the next installment. Morgan Jane Mitchell is a fabulous writer and I love her writing.

I can't wait to read the rest of this anthology because the whole book looks wonderful.

I’ve read Take Me In the Shadows by R.L. Kenderson and loved it. Serena and Evan are fire and it was great to see how honest she was about her pregnancy and keeping Aubrey. I loved how Maddox found out how was the father of Aubrey and the ending melted my heart. R.L. Really tell great stories

My review is for Property of Hero by Glenna Maynard.

A debt owed by her father brings her deep into the fold of the King's of Anarchy MC and particularly the formidable VP called Hero.
Hero is a guy who doesn't take anything less than what he is owed, what he deserves and that's no different for Ophelia...he takes it upon himself to make her his, whilst looking for her father...this is a fast paced short story that brings us the beginning of a brand new club series for us to devour, and I can't wait to see what's next!

More to follow.

My review is for Property Of Hero by Glenna Maynard
This author is taking us on ANOTHER incredible journey with Hero and Ophelia. Ophelia is in a heckuva mess when Hero, the VP of the Kings Of Anarchy MC and some of the guys come calling. Everything happens so fast she can hardly get a grip on all that's going on. Lucky for her Hero is more than willing to help her find out. This is an exciting short story giving us insight into a brand new club. Can't wait for more!

Read Hero by glenna Maynard and the storyline was great. Hero puts his butt on the line for a daughter of a guy he trusted.
Also brute by Morgan Jane Mitchell, brute is alone in the African jungle lost when he meets Jayne and have several days together.
