I like the series but it is clearly going to be a long series before either major plotline is resolved. Each book only has one significant component pertaining to the plotline. One kidnapping where at least 5 are required by the bad guys. Continued obstacles regarding protecting the Shrouded Nation from the disease being spread by the God of Chaos.

Sabre is beginning to connect with more of her demon heritage. it makes her a better fighter but leaves her vulnerable to some weaknesses related to her demon form. her heart and body struggle with her tribred nature and her connections to folks important to her.

the shifters and witches are still fighting over conditions that might allow for a new council chamber to be built on the nexus of ley lines on shifter lands. the witches seem ready to burn the council completely down with their petty politics
