Solid addition to the series!
Am enjoying this series, and particularly like this book. Lots of Cave/Jaspers POV which I love, and nicely handled team evolution over time. The relatively brief span of an NHL career means change, even in the time it takes to follow multiple player stories. It’s a nice nod to reality to see that.
The difference in maturity gained during one’s early 20s, even if you’re fighting it…deliciously accurate. And most of us have some kind of “work persona”. It’s interesting to think about what happens if someone pokes holes in it. 💗
Second chances
Jasper is living large. He’s a great hockey player and women are no problem either. He and Blair were high school sweethearts that couldn’t make it work but he’s totally surprised when she shows up to tell him their divorce wasn’t finalized. But their attraction is still there and both have grown up. I love second chance romances we’re both parties have learned to compromise (not give in) and can build a better relationship for the future. Jasper and Blair are both strong and independent. When they manage to overcome their issues they stand a chance. Great story.
