Publisher's summary

NYT best-selling Author Carrie Ann Ryan begins a new witchy paranormal series where a magical town keeps its secrets, but those in it must find a way to keep themselves safe.

The moment Sage Reed makes her way to Ravenwood, she knows the small town lives up to its mystical lore - even if she doesn’t believe that she’s a witch. After losing her husband, she’s ready for change, and her aunt’s bookstore affords the perfect opportunity.

Rome Baker has secrets of his own - even some that he’s kept from the town he calls home. But when a striking and intriguing stranger saves his life the moment she steps into his path, his inner bear knows that she’s the one for him. However, with the town under fire, he worries he might run out of time before he can show her what they can have together.

A new enemy is on the horizon, one who hides in the shadows, whose history is steeped in lies. And if Sage and Rome aren’t careful, Sage’s new powers won’t be the only thing that spirals into flame.

Awesome start to a new series.

Omg this book is so amazing. I loved reading Sage and Rome's story. The plot and way it unfolded had me on edge of my seat wanting more. This book is so good I am still reeling from it. I absolutely enjoyed the way this was and the plot twists oh yes so not expected but totally worth it. I really enjoy this and Carrie Ann Ryan has done it again in drawing a reader in and making this reader have the feels.

Narrators: Aiden Snow and Victoria Mei.

They did an amazing job on getting Carrie Ann's writing. It's absolutely amazing listening to this. They made this story flawless with the way they did the narration.

Wow!

Wow, the start of another great paranormal series by Carrie Ann.

Ravenwood is a town full of witches, shifters, fae and other paranormal creatures. There is danger ahead for this small town. This story will take you on a journey of love, loss, good versus evil and keep you guessing. The chemistry between Sage and Rome is off the charts you can’t help but fall in love with these characters. Can’t wait for the next book in the series. Aiden Snow and Victoria Mei do an excellent job narrating Carrie Ann’s first book of her new paranormal series, Ravenwood Coven.

Great start to new series!

I loved this story! It was great meeting the new town and the characters. Sage is in for a whole new world, one where not only does magic exist but that she has a large amount of magic that she now has to learn how to control along with opening up her new business, being drawn to a man that is her fated mate and dealing with the bad guys that seem to keep popping up and attacking her. She has a lot to deal with and process in a short amount of time and I loved how Rome handled her coming in and being his mate. He was definitely dealing with some things as well but I loved how he wasn't going to push Sage. He courts her and gives her time to process and grasp all the changes around her. I truly loved the way that these two built their relationship as they deal with everything being thrown at them and all the changes. There was plenty of action and intrigue as well with this story. I have lots of questions that will get answered in future stories as we figure out the characters and what is going on with them and what happened in the past. I loved the way that this was done as it was set up that "it's not my story to tell" which was true and felt very real for these characters and what was going on. I can't wait for the next book and to see what is coming next.
I listened to the audio book for the second read through of this book and it was very well done. The narrators were great and did a great job showcasing the emotion from the story and bringing the characters to life. I really enjoyed it!

A Book Made for Audio

I read this book and loved it. And then I listened to this story and really loved it. This is a story made for audio and the narrators are perfection!

Sage is going back "home" after quite a time away. She's recently lost her husband and has realized that there's nothing for her in Virginia, so she heads back to Ravenwood to start her bakery. As she gets closer to town, some interesting things start happening and nothing makes sense... or does it?

Ravenwood has some surprises in store for it's longest residents and it's newest resident and it's quite a ride in Dawn Unearthed.

Good story

Interesting paranormal romance with a side of mystery and misery. The characters are likable and believable. The narrators did a great job with providing unique voices for each character and appropriate tone inflections for each scene.

Romantic, emotional and suspensful. Loved it!

4.5-stars!

Narrated by Aiden Snow and Victoria Mei, they brought to life Sage and Rome’s story in Dawn Unearthed by Carrie Ann Ryan. This is the first book in her new paranormal series, Ravenwood Coven, and I loved it! We are introduced to a new town, Ravenwood, and its residents where not everything is as it seems. Sage needs a fresh starts and that is how she finds herself in Ravenwood. When she meets Rome, the chemistry between them is off the charts. However, she has no idea of what changes are to come, both about her and those around her. Rome is patient and caring and I just loved him. As Sage settles in and learns about Rome and others, there is romance, suspense and so much more. I could not stop listening! I am so excited to see what is next in the series!

Happy listening!

Paranormal is back!

From the start I had no idea what the outcome would be. I mean that in a very good way. It was full of so many twists and turns that it brought me back to the Talon and Redwood pack days. Every character had so much depth to them. I found myself pulled into the story like I was there with them watching everything unfold. Paranormal romance is back! I also loved the narrators. They can make or break an audiobook. They made me slip right into the story as if I was part of it all.

Tedious

Repetitive and boring. The narration is very good. I had to turn up the speed however. How many times do we need to hear the word "confused." And, a woman who passes out for hours after a sort-of traumatic event is not a heroine I care to learn about. The bad guys are stereotypical.
