Nice Machine Heads

I got these for my parts-caster. The black color works well and the locking tuners help eliminate a source of slack storage. I use a standard trem with two point pivot and string saver saddles. Not capable of holding perfect tune like a floyd style but good enough for the milder whammy use I employ. Pay attention to the nickel markers on the tuner shank...the string goes into this side of the tuner. Otherwise the auto-trim will trim the wrong side of the string relative to the clamp and the string will likely pop out of the tuner. Instructions could be clearer.

Cool concept, easy install

Just put these on last week. It was my first guitar mod and it couldn't have been any easier. Fit nicely in my Jackson JS24. They really do make string changing a breeze and it has helped with some tuning stability with the tremolo. The auto trim is a cool feature and looks clean. Highly recommend!

Genius! More than just Tuning Keys!

Changing your guitar strings isn't a difficult to accomplish, it's just a tedious process. But if you're anything like me; That warm, smooth sustain & seemingly obedient resilience that a new set of strings give to the emotion that I pour out through my guitar is a necessity.
Accomplishing that has never been easier. No more worrying about losing my tone by having too much/not enough string wrapped around the Tune Key Cylinder. Or having an improper wind negatively impact my guitars tuning.
No more shady cuts from cutters with dull edges or struggling for a good angle to trim an excess string.
And absolutely NO MORE absolutely fighting to hold a string in position just to get a good wind started.

Now, D'Addario self trimming, locking tune keys have my back & they literally eliminate every hair pulling aggravation that I have ever had when changing my guitar strings. The process is now as simple as it gets;
Pull the string through, tighten the locking nut & tune your guitar. THATS IT!
The tune keys do the rest & always stay in tune!

The cost for me is more than reasonable. Considering you're getting more than just a set of tuning keys.
So, If you're asking yourself if they've worth it for the price? Then ask yourself this….

What is the satisfaction of the elimination of every tuning key aggravation worth to you?

Easy low cost self install upgrade with reward!

Had these installed on my ESP LTD within 40 minutes.
Much better gear ratio for precise tuning. Feels much better than the stock tuners and is a lot more stable.
The self cutting mechanism means one less step I have to deal with while making it look better too.

I can now change strings in less than half the time it took before and without it looking like frayed (sloppy) wires poking around in the air off my headstock.

These were simply drop in tuners as the barrel size was an exact fit and even the screw position for the back of the headstock was spot on.

These are my 2nd set of self install locking auto cut tuners from D'addario and well worth every penny. My first set were the 3x3's for an Epiphone Les Paul Standard Pro of which I only had to slightly ream one hole.

These in line 6's dropped right in and were an absolutely perfect fit.

You won't believe the difference in how much better they feel too.

Over and Over

I loved these the first time that they have become my go-to when I want to replace my cheap tuners. I love the self-trimming feature! Just make sure the lock is unscrewed, feed the string through until taunt, tighten the lock and tune. That's it. I cuts the string giving you no string wrapping around or sticking up. Super easy
