I recently started using the Cerave Hydrating bar. I have sensitive skin that is prone to inflammation. The product is gentle even for facial skin and doesn’t leave the skin dry and tight. It’s not a foaming bar so there is minimal lather. A great aspect of the bar is that doesn’t disintegrate between uses as was the case of the other cleansing bar that I used previously. As I continue to use it, I’ll be able to assess the long term impact better.

The 2-pack lasts me about 2.5 to 3 months. It lathers well which I really appreciate. The reason I switched in the first place is that I wanted something safer that I could feel the difference on my skin. I used to get little tiny bumps on my arms, back and legs but this bar calms that for me. I love that I don't feel like my skin is dry or tight afterwards. It's moisturizing but I don't feel like anything is leftover on my skin. The thing I like the most though, is that the for something with no added fragrance, I love the smell. It's gentle and light. Ordered a few times and probably will continue.

I have extremally dry and sensitive skin, so my dermatologist suggested I use CeraVe skin cream regularly. I still had issues after using the cream, so I thought I'd try the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser Bar. I know I sound like a commercial, but this cleansing bar works fantastic. My skin feels smooth and soft after my shower, and keeps my skin from flaking throughout the entire day. I use the cleansing bar along with the CeraVe Lotion and I've noticed a huge improvement with my [no longer] dry and flakey skin. If you have dry, sensitive skin, I would give CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser Bar a try. Hope it works as well for you as it does for me.

When it arrived, I wanted to test it right away just to make sure I wasn't bringing something that didn't work for my skin on my trip. I've used CeraVe products before, such as the foaming facial cleanser and the moisturizing cream, and I've had no trouble with the cleanser but the cream did burn or sting my face sometimes. I've been using this cleansing bar for about a week now and I absolutely love it! For reference, I have extremely sensitive and reactive skin, so I can pretty much tell right away if a product doesn't work for me. I'm also very acne prone and recently had a really bad hormonal breakout, So I am very cautious about the products that I use on my face. Because of the acne breakout I had, I went on both topical and oral acne treatments that made my skin pretty dehydrated, but I can still get oily from time to time. So needless to say my skin is very finicky.

This bar didn't burn at all, cleanse my skin really well without it feeling stripped, and felt really nice on the skin and rinsing off. Almost immediately I felt how soft my face was but I wasn't sure if it was just the excitement of the product. Then my boyfriend, who didn't know I was trying out a new face product, made a comment about how soft my face was.

If you have really sensitive skin and you try to stay away from ingredients that you know are irritating, I would highly suggest trying this. It's completely fragrance-free, even of masking fragrances, so it doesn't smell the best. it honestly smells like unscented baby powder mixed with a little bit of caulking paste but I got used to it. This also lathers really well which I like because it's just a nicer experience, but it doesn't have the harsh surfactants that strip your skin. I also use this to double cleanse on the days where I'm not wearing any makeup, just sunscreen, and I don't feel like I'm over drying my face and I feel really clean afterwards.

Overall, I think this is a great product! If you're looking for a travel friendly cleanser or if you're trying to stay away from single use plastic or if you're just in the market of a new skin care product but are very sensitive to a lot of ingredients, I think this is definitely worth trying!

Seriously, what's in this?? Or what's not in it?? Every winter my skin gets so dry and ashy, to the point I'm constantly itching and scratching myself. Sometimes to the point of making myself bleed! I've used this brands moisturizing cream along with MANY others, and at best, it's only provided temporary relief. Us men don't have the luxury of finding too many products that cater to us, especially without a heavy scent. I came across this while searching "mens moisturizing soap", yet again. I decided to give it a go and here we are almost a week later and I can tell a HUGE difference. The itching and the ashiness is gone!! I can finally get some good rest at night! Now I can only vouch for myself, and not claim this to possibly help everyone, but it's definitely worth a try folks!! Lathers up so well I've decided to even wash my hair with it as a shampoo! Give it a try and gain relief as I've finally done.
