While this is a standalone book with it's own HEA, it is part of the Montgomery world and is overrun with Montgomerys from all over Colorado, so if you haven't read any before, be prepared to be a little out of your depth. I loved that this story is completely believable in most ways. Relationships break down all the time with babies/children/pregnancies involved. People find themselves just evolving into a relationship from a completely different starting point with no clear idea of how they got there or what it means. This is exactly what happened with Lee and Paige. At the beginning they can tell themselves it just about support, but nobody really believes that. I really enjoy the realism in these books. There are no billionaires or heiresses, no multinational CEO's, just people living their lives as they can, which makes these stories incredibly relatable. I really enjoyed Lee and Paige's story, even though it didn't grab me as other Montgomery books have done. However, the twist and drama at the end felt out of place to me and it didn't feel like it added anything to the story.

4 star Review Inked Craving (Montgomery Ink: Fort Collins #4) by Carrie Ann Ryan I always enjoy my visits to Fort Collins to visit with the Montgomery family. This is Paige Montgomery and Lee Grier’s story and was a good addition to the series. Paige has been left alone and pregnant, so the last things she needs is to be attracted to Lee, her brother’s best friend. Despite herself the attraction that sizzles between them becomes to hard to ignore. Although Paige is determined to keep him at bay, Lee is equally as determined; he will have his work cut out for him if he is to convince Paige to take a chance. Both of them have baggage so the question is can they come to terms with it and risk it all for a change at lasting happiness and love? I loved that their relationship was based on friendship and it was heart warming to watch it develop as their relationship progressed. Lee was there for her no matter what and I admired that about him. The connection they had was deep and true and I was so glad they finally got the happily ever after they both deserved. Oh and can I just say that her ex Colton was a real piece of work.

Paige thought she had found her fairytale, but things come crashing down for her on the night she thinks her boyfriend is going to propose, but instead tells her is he moving away and hadn't factored her in his thoughts or plans. Soon after she learns that she is pregnant and has to figure out where to go from there. Lee has been an unofficial member of her family since he is her brother's best friend, and has always been there in the background. Things change for them when Paige finds herself wanting to exert more independence and has a hard time letting herself lean on her family, as she always has before, but does allow Lee in more as their friendship deepens. This is a "friends to lovers" romance and I loved how we followed along as their relationship deepened and changed. We get to spend time with some of the others from this series, but they are weaved in so naturally and you can still follow along even if you haven't already read their books(of which I've only read a few). Carrie Ann Ryan has a talent for telling stories in a way where you feel like these could be real characters, in real situations- it's always such a treat!
