In the cutthroat world of corporate advertising, Trevor Myers owns the competition.
In the boardroom, his charming smile and endless connections guarantee success.
And at night, there’s never a shortage of beautiful women to warm his sheets.
But when the corporate game goes into overtime, with the chance of the lifetime just out of his grasp, Trevor will do anything it takes to reach the end zone.
There’s just one pesky little problem…
Victory lies in the ultimate Hail Mary.
His best friend’s little sister, Piper Bradley.
With a guaranteed career fumble in his future, he’s got no choice but to go for the ultimate blind side.

Piper Bradley didn’t run away from the life-altering decision awaiting her. Not at all.
If anything she had an obligation to repay a debt.
The fact that she owed her brother’s best friend didn’t hurt.
After all, he was once a football god, and the same man who’d taken her to prom.
At least, that’s what she told herself when Trevor Myers showed up to haul her off to upstate New York.
She could play the game, cover him while he schmoozed the corner office out of his unsuspecting boss.
Maybe she’d be able to finally collect her goodnight kiss… the one she never got after prom.
He’s determined to get into her end zone, she might just be willing to go light on her defense and let him…
As long as she doesn't fall in love.

Assumptions, surprises, and an epic battle of wills leads to the inescapable clash between Trevor’s playboy ways and the elemental pull of the girl next door.

Trevor's in a bind and he has just the person in mind who can help him out of it - his best friend's little sister. The one who owes him a favor, a favor he hopes to cash in...he just didn't expect that little sister to have grown into a beautiful, curvy woman whom he's not sure he can keep his hands off.

Piper has struggled with self image problems her whole life, thanks first to her undeveloped body, then thanks to suddenly developed curves she never wanted making her dance career difficult. But when the guy she's always crushed on is looking at her like she's the hottest thing he's seen in a long time...well, it just may go a long way to helping her with those insecurities. Now if they can just get through these coming few days where she has to pretend to be his loving girlfriend WITHOUT giving him her heart, then she'll be just fine...Right?

I gotta say first that I enjoyed this story. It's witty and snarky and entertaining, and the chemistry between Trevor and Piper is hot! Unfortunately, Trevor was unlikable to me for most of the story, with his slightly misogynistic attitude and his inability to understand why Piper was upset with him. And the cruel words he threw at her near the end? Yeah...no. If he had said that to me, the non-groveling he gave her would not have cut it, at all! Luckily for him, Piper had the forgiving nature required to be with a truly idiotic man that he mostly was. But, Trevor did do some growth, a little late in the story unfortunately, but enough that I can give this 4 stars and not feel like I was cutting him too much slack.

Trevor has always focused on his career however when it comes to women, he likes to keep his relationships casual and short. With a promotion at work in jeopardy he needs to show that his womanizing ways are in the past and what better way than a pretend girlfriend. The only problem is that the previous women in his life are not acceptable, so he convinces his friend’s sister to fill the role.

Piper has always been attracted to Trevor so when he needs help, she can’t say no. Between the chemistry between them and the fact that they are much different from the people they used to know things are about to become complicated.

The interactions between them are humorous and I enjoyed seeing the evolution of their characters as they opened their hearts to each other.

Trevor is a playboy and he is desperate for a promotion at the company he works at, and as they bosses are pitting everyone against each other, rivalry is on the cards, and when they all need to go to a retreat for the weekend with their partners, he gives his best friends sister name which is Piper. Piper owes Trevor a favour as he took her to her prom, and it is now time to repay. How will they survive the retreat when a rival overhears Piper on the phone? No spoilers: this is a good story which deserves to be read. This is a good story which is sweet and entertaining, and I look forward to reading more from this author whose work I recommend.

If you are looking for a best friend’s sister/love-hate relationship read then this is on you should pick up. The tension and attraction rising from Piper and Trevor is undeniable. Both have loved each other from afar but when an event arises to bring them together, will they finally succumb to their feelings or ruin any chance? It had me interested throughout but when I got to end I wanted more. The ending felt incomplete to me. Overall it was one I would recommend and would probably read again.

Casey Hagen has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Piper and Trevor. Trevor has been working for Davidson Williams at Williams and Stensky Ad Agency for four years and is now up for a promotion to partner. Mr. Williams has a plan for a couples retreat weekend for all the candidates. Trevor knows Monica will not do for what needs to be done. Rachel, tells Mr. Williams that Trevor doesn't have a girlfriend. Trevor tells them that is not true. He has a girlfriend and they have been dating for a year. Mr. Williams wants to know her name. Trevor can't think of anyone other than Piper. His best friend's sister. He did Piper a favor back in high school and he thinks she may help him out. He calls Ryden and tells him his problem and asks to borrow Piper for the weekend. When Ryden calls Piper to let her know of the favor, she feels like she owes Trevor so she agrees. When Trevor picks her up, he doesn't recognize her as she comes out of her building. He gets upset by the way she is dressed and things start off bad for him. He ends up buying her some new clothes. Once they get to Mr. Williams's home, they are informed about the full-body message that has been planned for them. After the message, Trevor waits on her and tells her that now he gets to tell her about the candidates and who's with them. He tells her he is up against three candidates. There is Mike Higgins and his wife Christina. Then there's kent Brochu and his fiancee Deanne. Then the third is Rachel Clark. He holds up his hand. I know she was in the notebook, but here's where it gets dicey, he said with a wince. "I had a brief thing with her quite a while back. "Oh, goodie. The girlfriend meets the notch on the belt." "I'm sorry, he said as he looks down at his feet. "Why? It's in the past and you're not mine, so other than this, it's none of my business. He nodded and straightened. Okay. Harsh, but true. The thing is... it didn't end well and she wants my blood. She's here with this guy Steve, and I'm pretty sure they aren't really dating because, while I'm not positive, I think he's her second cousin and she just borrowed him for the weekend. Piper thinks that she has gotten over the crush she had on Trevor in high school but she thinks some of her feelings are still around. Things seem to be going well for them except when Rachel tries to cause trouble between them. Mr. Williams's wife is not there and is due to come back in a few days. When Piper hears her name, she has to call her partner Rafe to get her full name. It turns out that she was the woman that wanted to have a meeting with Piper about some dancewear designs. Rachel eavesdropped on the conservation Piper had with Rafe and when Piper comes downstairs, she lets Mr. Williams know that she is not who Trevor said she was. This caused Trevor to get mad and tells Piper they are leaving. He blames her for how things have turned out. The trip back home is done in silence. When they get to her home, they both say things that hurt the other. At least, Piper had a few days where she was with Trevor. She thinks back to some of the things that he said about her and decides to change some things about herself. When she goes into the office, she tells Rafe about what happened with Trevor. She tells him that she is going to call Mrs. Williams, but before she does that, she goes over to the design that was causing her some problems and looked at it. All of a sudden an idea came to her and she went to work on the design. After she finished, she showed it to Rafe and he told her that was what was wrong with it. It now looked like it could move by itself. Piper called Mrs. Williams and they worked out things from the weekend. They set up a meeting so that they could decide on what Mrs. Williams wanted as far as the design went for the costumes. Trevor had a deal he was working on before the weekend and now he wants to finish it before he goes into work. He calls Nick and he is shocked with Nick tells him they don't need to go over anything because he is ready to sign with him. Trevor asks "Why?" Nick tells him that he likes the way he does business. Trevor asks if they can meet that day instead of the next. Nick tells him "Yes." When Trevor goes into the office, he goes to Mr. Williams's office in hopes of talking to him. When he gets to see Mr. Williams, he is shocked by the questions he is asked. When he is asked the question of if Mr. Williams had treated him fairly, Trevor tells him no. He then goes on to explain why he said no. Mr. Williams tells Trevor that Mrs. Williams said that he was not being fair to the candidates with the retreat weekend. Mr. Williams goes to tell Trevor a few more things and then asks about things between Trevor and Piper. When Trevor tells him that he messed up and he didn't think she would talk to him again, Mr. Williams tells him where she is going to be the next night. Trevor asks for the day off because he has a few things to take care of. Before he leaves, Trevor gives Mr. Williams the signed contract that Nick had signed.
Will things work out between Piper and Mrs. Williams?
Will Piper give Trevor another chance?
This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

This is the first book from Casey Hagen that I have read. I have to say there were times in this book that I just wanted to strangle Trevor! The way he was acting was totally not ok with me. However, I know this is just a story, but it was so realistic.

Trevor has worked his butt off to get where he is now and everything he has. He did things that he thought would get him everything he wanted. He went through women like underwear. He was your typical playboy.

Piper is the girl next door – she was in love with Trevor since she was a kid. Trevor is Piper’s brother’s best friend. They were always around each other but of course he didn’t think about Piper in any way other than a little sister until Prom.

When Trevor needs a “good” girlfriend, he automatically thinks of Piper. She would have the image Trevor needs to get a promotion at the Real Estate firm he works at. However, when Piper appears, she no longer has the girl next door look! She is a bombshell and all Trevor can think is this is not what his boos is looking for. He buys Piper a whole new wardrobe for their weekend away. He also gives Piper a whole new “made up” life instead of asking her what she does.

Once they are away at the boss’ house, Piper starts to see a side of Trevor she doesn’t like. However she still sees a side of him that she has always loved. Throughout the weekend, they have their moments, but then, when events take a turn that is not in Trevor’s favor, he blames it on Piper and acts like a total jerk.

Will they be able to work through their issues? Will Trevor be able to change his man whore ways? Will Piper be able to forgive him?

I cannot wait to read more from this author. I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy through Hidden Gems ARCs for an honest review.

Another fab book by Casey

Formerly named Imperfect Love: Operation: Girl Next Door which was apart of the Kindle Worlds)

Hi my name is Trevor Myers.

Well let me tell you that I know how to make it big in the business world and put a seal on it too: all you need is a charming smile, outstanding connections, and well lets say the balls-to-the-wall fearlessness. I'm the master of all three. You will need a partnership with this firm but now this is almost in the bag. That is, well until his boss decides to dangle it over him, oh and three other coworkers. It's like a prize which you have to go on a stupid and pathetic game show.

Hi everyone my name is Piper Bradley.
I'm on the precipice of making a huge and scary career-altering decision to see if i should expand my dance-wear line. I'm totally agonising over the decision. So then I decide to take a trip to clear and focus on my decisions, maybe a different climate will change that. Suddenly all the plans I've made have only to be disturbed by have my very annoying brother hamper the plans when he suddenly calls me to return a favour for his best friend… the one and only Trevor Myers. After owing Trevor for escorting her to what was her senior prom years earlier. Piper then reluctantly agrees to pretend to be Trevor's girlfriend for the weekend.

Trevor wonders and expects a very grownup version of the one and only shy girl who was always keeping a sketchpad. Trevor never imagined this drop-dead, gorgeous woman. Piper. Piper finally manages to leave Trevor tongue tied. That's a first for him.

Piper decides it’s time to leave her long-simmering feelings behind.

Trevor struggles to fight the battle that are waged between his crazy playboy lifestyle. The option is the battle and the elemental pull of the feelings he holds for girl next door.

"This book covered a few tropes that I absolutely love to read. So before going in I was quietly confident I would really enjoy it - and I was definitely right. Trevor and Piper’s story was a relatively quick read. Their feelings developed quite fast but as they have known each other for so long to me it was only suppressed feelings coming to light.
I have read a few books by this author and after completing this one I know I will definitely be reading more. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book." ~Sharon

"If you love a best friend’s sister romance, with a bit of a love/hate in the mix, then Cover Me fits the bill.

Trevor Meyers has a dream job, a partner position he knows he has in the bag until he doesn’t. Piper Bradley is his best friends little sister, she is also on the brink of a career in the making, but needs a break. Trevor needs a pretend girlfriend and Piper owes him a favor, so her brother talks her into helping him.

Their story is one of love and growth personally, both have their issues, their back and forth banter was so much fun to read. What a treat to watch them maneuver through their long time feelings for one another, and get to a place in life where they both are happy and in love. " ~Stephanie

Cover Me is a good read that includes a couple of my favorite tropes. I enjoyed it and the characters. Sometimes I wanted to throw my kindle, but that has to do with good, realistic writing. Trevor and Piper had great chemistry and had me swooning. Definitely check this one out! ~Andrea

"He leaned in and winked. Hmmm, that winking thing seemed to be catching. "

5 Work Weekend Stars!!! Perfection!!

Trevor and Piper have known each other for years. And she's always had a huge crush on him, he took her to her senior prom and did I mention, he's her brother's best friend. Trevor is going on a work trip for the weekend and he needs a date. Immediately he knows he wants to take Piper with him. As soon as these two are together, you can instantly see the chemistry, but Piper doesn't like the person Trevor has turned into, but she doesn't know how to tell him that, which now causes tension between them.....

This book is definitely a slow burn, but it's worth the wait. I loved the relationship between Trevor and Piper. They are just completely adorable together. Casey Hagen knows how to write characters that you'll just fall head over heels in love with. Which is exactly what happened here...

Loved Trevor and Piper's story... she's had a thing for him since HS; he's her older brother's best friend and took her to her prom as a favor... all the while denying how he actually felt about her. Years later, he's at a crossroads at work. He's up for a promotion, but in order to get it, he finds he needs to be in a committed relationship (as opposed to the love 'em and leave 'em life he's been living). So, what does he do? He throws Piper's name out there without having seen or talked to her in years. Committed to a weekend getaway at his boss's summer place, he reaches out to his best friend to get Piper's info. The timing is perfect for Piper as it comes when she had decided she needed to get away from work and clear her head as she figures out her own future. What neither of them counted on were the sparks that would be flying. Perhaps they would have had some smooth sailing IF he had actually taken the time to get to the know Piper today instead of his perception of her in HS... needless to say, things get out of control and both of them end up risking their future business prospects. Will they be able to find their way out of the mess they created? Will they be able to piece together any kind of relationship? You'll have to read to find out... entertaining from start to finish.

Cover me is the second book in the It’s So Wrong It’s Right series by Casey Hagen. This trope is also one of my favorites, the best friend, younger sister love interest. Trevor Myers is up for a promotion at work, but his boss is a family man who wants his employees to be settled and happy as well. Calling in a favor with his best friend Ryden, he asked if Ryden’s younger sister Piper can accompany him to the company retreat.

Piper has been in love with Trevor since she was 18, when her brother Ryden asked Trevor to take Piper to prom as a favor. When they meet again, Piper has grown up: she has her own expending career, she’s more sexy and mature, but she is still the same sweet girl next door inside. When they get to the retreat, sexual tension between the two are unavoidable, and they both realize that prom night all those years ago was where their feelings developed. However, life got in the way and they didn’t connect until now. Both Piper and Trevor changed throughout the years, to fit in with their lifestyle and their careers, but ultimately, they both want the genuine person they were on that prom night many years ago. This feel good love story exemplifies the meaning of finding someone who loves you for who you are and support you unconditionally, not for what you can provide or the facade you put on.

Cover Me is the story of Trevor Myers & Piper Bradley. He's known her for a very long time since he was her brother's best friend, but while he never really saw her, she harbored a secret crush on him. Trevor is in line for a big promotion, but the boss decides to play some competition between him and another co-worker. He has to go away for a weekend in order to win it, but he needs a woman to go with him since his boss is leaning more towards a family man. He helped Piper out, so he's calling in that favor so she goes away with him, and the sparks are flying. I'm a big fan of Casey Hagen, and honestly will always need her books in my life but Cover Me didn't quite hit that spot because of Trevor. He really came off too cruel when he got mad at Piper who didn't do anything on purpose and it was just too much for me. See, he had already been way too arrogant and while I always wait to see if they can redeem themselves, honestly he never did in my eyes. And since Ms. Hagen is so talented in creating characters that feel so real, my anger is a lot more fierce. Remember this only my opinion so just decide for yourselves! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Piper Bradley was a shy seventeen-year old girl when Trevor Myers was her escort to her prom. A friend of her brothers, she has had a crush on him for years. She never thought she would be asked to pose as Trevor’s love interest and when he shows up, he is not the Trevor that she remembers. This Trevor is a player, but she agreed to help him, so she will…maybe she can give him a pressure wash and return him to the Trevor she knew. Trevor is next in line for a promotion, at least he thought he was, but now he needs to show his boss that he is ready to settle down. He needs a woman that his boss will approve of and Piper is the first name that comes to mind. Let the games begin! A laugh out loud read as Piper does not hold back on her thoughts about Trevor. Can he be the man she needs him to be? I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation from the author. (by paytonpuppy)

Can she bring out the best in him so they find true love
I absolutely love Casey’s romance stories as I keep on reading them! Trevor learns that instead of being a shoe-in for the promotion to partner, he is up against 3 others. Then adding insult to injury, he has to be in a relationship, so offers up his best friend’s sister as his date who he took to her prom all those years ago. Piper is deciding on whether to expand her business when she gets the call from her brother that Trevor needs her to be his date for a weekend to which she agrees. Trevor is stunned to learn the looker coming our of Piper’s building is actually Piper who takes none too kindly to being told she has to change her clothes. Things are on and off between them until it blows up in front of everyone and Trevor and Piper leave early. Will Trevor become the person he should be and grovel for Piper’s love, you have to read to find out.

After the first couple of paragraphs of this book, I knew the author was going to have her work cut out for her getting me to cheer for this hero. It took some serious work, but she accomplished it. By the end of this book I adored Trevor. The man still standing at the end is a very different one from who we first meet when the book opens. I think I loved Piper right from the start. She’s feisty and flawed and has a heart of pure gold. I thought these two were adorable together, particularly the way they strive to be their best selves for one another. And I’m delighted by all the ‘second chance’ vibes this pair gives off. The epilogue left me howling with laughter and I can’t wait to come back to this world to see what the author has in store for us next.

I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy. I couldn't put the book down once I started it. Trevor and Piper had known each other for years through her brother. Trevor is up for a partnership in his company but it seems that the candidate has to be in a committed relationship. When pressed he gives Piper's name. Piper agrees to spend the weekend with Trevor at his boss's place. The crush she still harbors for him turns into love. Rachel, Trevor's co-worker, outs the lie they are giving. Trevor and Piper leave and bad words are exchanged between them. Both are miserable and even Trevor getting the partnership makes it better. Trevor realizes he's in love with Piper. However with the help of his boss, Trevor wins Piper back. They are in love and their relationship is progressing nicely. A nice surprise is that Piper knows Aurora and they meet in the strip club where Viper dances and Trevor is with Piper for the meeting.

Romance: ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Writing: ✏️✏️✏️✏️✏️

This story has emotion, love, and growth. Both characters are insecure and have flaws. They grow with each other since neither one excepts anything but the real deal. All the characters are easy to imagine and well built. I really enjoyed reading this story.

The story follows Trevor and Piper. Trevor needs a favour from Piper when he learns that he has to have a partner for a retreat that will get him close to a promotion. Since he took Piper to her prom, she still owes him a favour. That’s why he calls up his best friend and asks him to tie him up with Piper.

True feelings revealed
Piper and Trevor had known each other forever. He took her to their high school prom as a “favor" to her brother. When he’s up for a promotion at work years later, he finds out that to get it he has to be in a committed relationship. Being that hasn’t been his “style", the only person he could think of that wouldn’t misconstrue the invitation was Piper. She accepts as getting away will help her figure out how she wants to proceed with her business. Of course things go awry, and they both risk losing their prospects. Will they be able to realize both their personal and professional goals? A truly enjoyable reading experience.

I loved this story. Piper and Trevor have known each other for years. He's a few years older and her brother's best friend. When Piper needed a prom date, it was Trevor who was there for her. Now years later Trevor needs a date for a work weekend and he decides Piper will be the perfect girl to help. From the moment he picks her up I could feel all the tension and chemistry between them. Piper has crushed on Trevor for years. Although this new older version she did not like and was not afraid to call him out on it. Soon the weekend turns out to be more than they ever anticipated. Their story is fun, full of feels, with a few twists that had me turning pages hoping for more and more.

Really nice read. Piper is definitely a strong female lead and I loved her career-woman attitude. Trevor is the reformed playboy archetype, but I really liked that he came to a slow realization about how scummy his life was. This is not instalove; they’ve both pined a little bit over the years.

I would have liked to see the nemeses be a bit less of the office wench character, and maybe play up the brother aspect a bit more. The title plays towards the best friends sister trope when to me it was more about the fake relationship.

I love stories of lost loves (especially when they don’t always admit it) and connections that can’t be denied. Piper and Trevor are brought back together as two completely different people than they were as kids. Piper feeling she is paying back a favor and Trevor figuring he can manipulate his work situation because he believes he already “knows Piper”. Well they are both in for a number of surprises as they spend days together, where lines get blurred and pretend becomes real, too real. A fun, flirty, sexy story that gives you a happily ever after you need!

Couldn't put it down. The tension will have you hot under the collar and if you don't come away with a scratch that needs itching, you need to reread it!!

I always love a female character who can stand her own ground and go toe to toe and Piper doesn't disappoint.  She still has her softness and vulnerability but she would have your back in a moment.

Trevor is without a doubt a cocky sod who tries to hide his vulnerable side.  He has to decide if he can have his cake and eat it or whether something has to give.

I say find somewhere nice and quiet where you won't be disturbed because you won't want to put this book down!

I really liked and completely enjoyed this friends to lovers / fake relationship romance. It hits all the notes to make this story between Piper and Trevor a truly hold-your-breath to the end kind of book. The storyline is familiar but, these characters make it something special. I highly recommend this one as a must read.

Cover Me is a well written best friend's sister/fake girlfriend romance with great characters, undeniable attraction, rivalry, surprises, and so much more.

I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.

I really enjoyed this book. I suspected what some of the twists would be, but they were handled in such a way that it didn't detract from the storytelling.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This was such an amazing best friend's sister romance! I loved watching Trevor & Piper maneuver their long hidden attraction to each other while pretending to be a couple. These guys had me giggling and swooning along with them! Such an amazing book & I loved it!!

Cover Me is a good read that includes a couple of my favorite tropes. I enjoyed it and the characters. Sometimes I wanted to throw my kindle, but that has to do with good, realistic writing. Trevor and Piper had great chemistry and had me swooning. Definitely check this one out!
