Claiming the Cowboy

Rating: 4.5 Stars Knox seems to be way too cocky for his own good. Hadleigh gets the shock of her life. We hear their two voices throughout the book. There’s a third character that is important to them but most of our impressions are through their eyes. It took me a while to understand why but that was a good thing. This is a standalone and that’s good for you. It gives you a chance to experience this ranch as a newcomer or as a fan. We don’t think of those that live outside our little place in the world – other than what we hear in the news. Books like this give us the fantasy of what others lives might be like. Sometimes there are authors that comes along that even have you wishing that you could visit the place they are writing about. Our authors made it very easy to get lost in their world. Once I got started, it was very hard to put the book down. Hadleigh made a choice that some may not feel comfortable with but just give this a chance. The authors didn’t create any scenes that seem forced or unbelievable. Love develops over time and this came through to the benefit of our main characters. But there was that third person that left me wanting to see his happily ever after and I will get that chance very soon. I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. 5 Star review Claiming The Cowboy (Circle B Ranch #7) by Kennedy Fox AUDIO REVIEW: It’s always fun to return to the Circle B Ranch, the Bishop family and their friends. This time the spotlight is on twins Kane and Knox Bishop and Kane’s best friend Hadleigh and it was smoking hot. These three have known each other most of their lives and when Hadleigh wins a date with Knox at a charity auction, lines will be crossed and relationships will be tested . There were times I feared that Knox and Kane would do irreparable damage too their brotherly relationship and in fact my heart was in my mouth on occasion. The narration by Tor Thom and Lia Langola brought the story to life. For me and they were expressive with all the emotions that these characters went through. Their voices are easy to listen to and they conveyed the characters as I pictured them in my minds eye. It was entertaining to watch the push and pull dynamic of the relationship as it developed and I couldn’t wait to see how this triangle played out. Claiming The Cowboy is well written and you will be drawn into the story that Kennedy Fox wove.

Knox's story is FINALLY here!!!! The fact that Claiming the Cowboy is one of Jackson's (Keeping Him) kids had me anticipating this book probably more than I should have. Of course KF exceeded my expectations! I love when KF gives us a male character that has a bit of a reputation and yet deep down he is so much more that what appears on the surface and Knox definitely fits this category. Hadleigh is the type of girl who loves her friends fiercely and has found herself feeling things for both of the twins. She doesn't want to hurt either one of them but knows she cannot have them both. I honestly wasn't sure how in the world this scenario was going to play out. KF built the tension up between this trio that lead to the best crescendo EVER (chapter 14 😉) and in that moment Hadleigh knows who owns her heart. This book falls short on absolutely nothing....there is so much steam (sometimes extreme steam) throughout and I dare say the best KF have written thus far! Grandma Bishop pops up quite often with her wisdom that was much needed! The sibling relationship between Knox, Kane and Kaitlyn is strong! Now to sit back and patiently wait for Kane's story!
