Customers like the ease of use of the mount. They mention it's very easy to attach, use, and set up. The extended flat tab makes it easier to put the binocular on the mount than when they are. It makes it much easier to use binoculs for extended periods of time, and it threads easily into the tripod. It's a very simple device that clips on to tripod like a charm.

"...This was a waste of money, and worse, as a result of using this adaptor, the binoculars were also a waste of money." Read more
Customers are mixed about the sturdiness of the adaptor. Some mention that it's metal, pretty solid, and holds binoculars pretty securely. However, others say that it looks like it'd be made of very substantial metal, and is too flimsy and makes for a wobbly product.
"Fits my tripod and secures my binoculars." Read more
"...adapter although it has one weakness which can be overcome.. Its sturdy metal, fairly long, and has a larger base footprint...." Read more
"...stating the plastic adapter that comes with the binoculars is too flimsy...." Read more

Customers are mixed about the fit of the adapter. Some mention that it fits fine, on their small camera tripod, and is easy to adjust. However, others say that it's difficult to get it snug enough in the binoculars, the screw barely fits in the 25x70, and it doesn't fit any of their tripods.

Customers are mixed about the appearance of the screen protector. Some mention that it's a good piece, nice, and perfect, while others say that it has a poor design and looks goofy.

Customers have negative opinions about the ease of attachment of the screen protector. They say that the screw on the adapter is too short and the threads on the bracket are so short that you only get one or two turns before it. Some customers also mention that the adaptor's screw was cross threaded when it arrived. Overall, customers are dissatisfied with the ease and quality of the product.
"...The problem is the threads on the adapter are so short you only get one or two turns before it's snug-tight, so all the stress is concentrated on..." Read more
"...It needs a longer screw!!! Another issue when screwed in, you can't get it tight enough so that it easily always wants to unscrew from the binocular...." Read more

"...The Kronos glasses are the fault; there is no center threaded mount as with other binocs, and the center base is too narrow to tap...." Read more
Customers are dissatisfied with the grip of the screen protector. They mention that it keeps coming loose, the post is very short, and it wobbles loose after moving the tripod around. They also say that it can fall off if you push the binoculars too hard. Customers also say the adapter did not secure tightly and the bins almost fell off the tripod. They say that the grip is designed poorly and causes it to slip and twist.
"I’ve had this thing rip out of my binoculars because it doesn’t engage the threads nearly far enough...." Read more
"This particular tripod adapter did not secure tightly/safely to the 20x50 Porro Solar Binoculars from Celestron...." Read more
"...So if you bump the binoculars too hard, they can fall off and to the ground they tumble unless you are very fast to catch them as they fall...." Read more

It fits much better, and goes on much easier than my older adapter. The extended thumb turner is far, far easier to attach. The support is narrow enough to shut/close the binoculars all the way, for minimum IPD, even with the standard rubber objective covers still attached. The thumb extender does stick out 4mm beyond the bottom of the objectives, so they won't sit flat with that attached, but the 4mm isn't enough to make them tippy; I just worry about the objectives getting dusty.
Curiously enough, there was a nice padded neck strap (pictured) all folded up inside a plastic ziploc stuffed into the box with the binocular adapter. This was definitely not mentioned in the Amazon listing. But I bought a "refurbed" adapter to save $5 (what could go wrong, right?), so I can only guess that whomever returned their product to Amazon accidentally put a neck strap in the box and no one at Amazon noticed the mistake (how could they know?). Anyway, that's my gain!
FWIW, I measure IPD as 58-73mm. The Celestron adapter does not change those measurements.

The threads that screw into the binoculars stripped on first use. I didn't even tighten them excessively, the weight of the binoculars caused the threads to fail.
The problem is the threads on the adapter are so short you only get one or two turns before it's snug-tight, so all the stress is concentrated on one or two threads. What was Celestron thinking? Such a stupid design considering there is so much more female thread on the binoculars to screw into.
JUST STICK WITH THE PLASTIC ADAPTER. The screw on that one is 3x longer.

With this adapter, the binoculars are always ready and the focus is already set on the backyard bird feeder. The bracket itself is really solid and stable when installed. It’s now giving back a second life to an old set of Taylor binoculars who were gathering dust in a closet. I highly recommend for any serious bord watchers out there.
Enjoy your day!
