When Karice wrote her first novel over twelve years ago, her only goal was to brighten someone's day. She had no idea if anyone would read it or if it would see the light of day. In between chasing after her little one, baking, gardening, attempting to clean, and enjoying a bit of reality television here and there, she absolutely hopes to write stories that touch readers, make them laugh a little, and give them an escape from reality.

She loves writing about friendships, small towns, sisters, secrets, and men who are keepers! It might have something to do with marrying her high school sweetheart. Sometimes, the stories are set off the coast of Washington, where she grew up and started her family, or in a small mid-west village with meddling neighbors and nosy book clubs where she's always spent a good amount of time. She just never knows where the characters will take her.

First time reading this author but definitely won’t be the last. The chemistry between the two leads was GREAT! All started with friends that had made a pact with each other about the men they “Would Not Date/Marry”.

Now as they are all approaching 30 they decide to “try” what they said they would not do. Tess is the first up as her birthday is a week later. The story is her falling for Mr. Wrong or in this case Mr. Mistake and finding love.

So funny, and one of the most interesting plot lines I have read in quite some time. Can’t wait for the next book!

He’s invited by her friends to her birthday party, since they believe she had a crush on him in high school (but she had a crush on his brother, really).
