Would be 5 stars if not for shipping/damage issue
    4 Stars
Would be 5 stars if not for shipping/damage issue
I'll get the bad part out of the way first, which is the reason I don't give the Klipsch RP8000Fs 5 stars across the board. The one consistent negative thing I did see in reviews for these prior to ordering them, is these have a tendency to arrive damaged from shipping. It was a risk I was willing to take considering the glowing reviews otherwise & the Walnut being on sale for 999. One of the speakers arrived with a small area on the top back right corner scratched & dented, I included a photo of that. Not sure if the shipper (fedex) is to blame or Walt's TV who packaged & sent to fedex for shipping. Fed ex does pack an outer carton over the Klipsch carton. I didn't see any noticeable hole or tear in the outer carton. Then when opening the inner Klipsch carton, also not looking torn up, the Styrofoam protecting the top of the speaker was cut in a few places & fell inside the packaging. The plastic wrapping over the top of the speaker was torn up. And the top right corner obviously got hit as a result somewhere in the process of packaging it or when it shipped. These speakers are huge, not a surprise, at 60 lbs each. So unboxing each by myself was a bit of a chore (as was carrying each inside, I threw my back out from that). Fortunately 1 speaker arrived in perfect condition so I opened it up to inspect in full and it was still perfect. Since I noticed the damage on the top of the other speaker when opening it, I didn't bother to finish unpacking that one. I made the assumption that the common sense customer service response to this would be an exchange of that 1 speaker. Amazon also believed that to be the case when I called them. They said I could keep the good one, and temporarily hold onto the damaged one until the replacement came. And after inspecting the replacement, if it was good then I'd return the damaged speaker. But Amazon then turned everything over to actual seller, Walt's TV. Their initial response was surprising & frustrating. They said their policy was no exchanges. That I had to pack up the good speaker & return both. Then after they received them they'd refund me in full. Then if I still wanted these I'd re-order two more from them. Amazon was surprised but had their hands tied & couldn't do anything about that. They have some guarantee claim process for things like this they can submit to their management if the seller is unwilling to resolve the issue to my satisfaction. So I wrote a response back to Walt's TV explaining why their response was unacceptable - for various reasons but one being how could I be assured ordering two more after waiting a week to two per their policy would not arrive damaged as well? At this point I did unpack the damaged speaker to fully inspect it, and fortunately nothing else was damaged. I also hooked both speakers up to make sure they both worked perfectly which they did. But obviously part of what I paid for was the visual appeal & there being no cosmetic damage. At this point I told Walt's either they credit me $200 for the damaged speaker or I then wait for Amazon to do their claim with no guarantees, and I'd post an honest review here for anyone else considering ordering these if coming from Walt's TV. They complied and promptly issued the credit and I kept both, getting a rather great deal overall with the sale to begin with plus their credit. So for that response & resolution from Walt's TV, they ended up doing the right thing by resolving in a way I'm still happy with. Had the damage been more significant, that would have complicated things. Perhaps they would have agreed to an exchange if I pushed it. I ordered some wood furniture touch up paint specifically for scratches & dents that I also have in the photos, once applying it should make a noticeable difference (by having the damage being less noticeable). I also put that speaker in the area more hidden from view so really not something someone would even see unless walking up close to it & looking for it. Placing my Atmos speaker over that spot is another way to hide it. So consider all this when ordering, maybe Walt's will become more accommodating with their initial response if something like this happens again with another customer. If you get the rigid full return only response, don't accept it & push back and they will end up making things right for you.Anyway, aside from all that the only other imperfection is the rubber material under the feet. If dragging it across a rug like I did a few times so far. The rubber pops out, can be put back in but just not durable for any friction against a rug when moving these, toeing in, experimenting with placement, is to be expected. Now for the good part...these speakers are absolutely amazing. I had 11 yr old Polk TSI 400s, which were very good speakers & definitely great for what I paid for them. But these Klipsch RP8000Fs blow the Polks away. Definitely with bass, as well as noticeably better with midrange. The Polks shined with highs & acoustics. These Klipschs also noticeably much better in those areas too. Just a fuller, more airy sound with wider sound stage overall. Drastic difference when sitting in the sweet spot. Also a big difference vs the Polks when standing up (they are about 7" taller and pointing up slightly with the feet) or in other rooms so the background sound quality when I'm doing other stuff & not having a dedicated listening session also much better. Sometimes bigger & heavier means better. 8" woofer/midrange cones vs 5.25" from Polk. Almost twice as heavy, bigger & heavier drivers, MDF & bracing in cabinet, etc. The tweeter & horn material not at all "fatiguing" or "harsh" as Klipsch critics say. The Klipsch entry level Reference series has different, not quite as good tweeter & horn material making them sound brighter. The Reference Premier series is the next tier. And the 8000Fs are the biggest & most expensive but well worth it. Especially when on sale. The 8000F "version 2" that just came out last yr almost identical with minor tweaks to make the midrange sound a bit warmer. I heard a side by side comparison, at times V2 sounded a teeny bit better being warmer, other times these original 8000Fs V1 sounded a teeny bit better being brighter which I actually prefer most of the time. Very subtle differences only noticed if doing a side by side comparison. The V2s are almost twice the price, close to 2K for the pair, and these were at one point close to that, 1500+ at least, when they 1st came out in 2018. Another reason the timing was perfect for me, these sound better than most 2K & even some 3-4k speakers I compared them to. Easily the best speakers for about $1k IMO.I included photos of what these RP8000Fs "play with". For music I normally prefer Pure Direct mode from my AVR which is 2.0. Sounds great this way on an AVR only since these highly sensitive speakers are easy to drive. But the sound is even better when sending the AVR signal for these to an external amp. And in home theater surround, the AVR no longer tasked with powering these has more power to give the other surround speakers, which all come to life & sound more dynamic as well in home theater use. Here's my system with these Klipsch RP8000Fs. Subwoofer is SVS SB3000. All other speakers in the Klipsch RP series - RP500C center, RP500M rear surrounds, and RP500SA Atmos. AVR-Yamaha Aventage A2A. Amps for the RP8000Fs-Outlaw Monoblocks 2220, one for each speaker, 200 watts continuous each.My interest in music has been reawakened since getting these. Not a cheap hobby lol, so for now I'm good for a bit, next additions will be a turntable & upgraded Blu Ray player. I subscribed to Qobuz for music streaming - which is built into the Music Cast app that's also in the AVR. The music quality is superior to things like Pandora & Spotify - FLAC format as good & sometimes even better than actual CDs. Totally worth the subscription to listen to this on quality speakers like these. Pandora & Spotify do sound great on these too, it's just that I'm able to hear the slight difference of Qobuz on these speakers. If you are considering these, definitely go audition them 1st at a local place like Best Buy or any Klipsch dealer in your area. Sound is very subjective. But jf you are thrilled with how these sound, get them, perhaps wait for & pounce on a sale as it looks like they aren't on sale now as they were when I got them a few weeks ago. Still a great set of speakers for the money at the almost 1200 price now, so if you are inpatient and don't mind the approx 200 off these may go on sale again for then get them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible with turntable
Reviewed in the United States on January 5, 2024
I'm a novice. Let's get that out of the way. I was looking for a great set of speakers to pair with my upgraded turntable (Pro-ject Debut Carbon Evo).
These beasts have delivered. They arrived un-damaged in coffin-sized boxes (which my cats have converted into mansions). Relatively easy to set up. Took some fiddling with an older Kenwood receiver (powering at 50w/channel but these babies could benefit from 100w+) but man..... These. Have. Delivered. Amazing sound. These are in a roughly 16x30 basement and they shake the whole house. And not in an obnoxious way. I have cranked the volume up and the sound is clear on all levels and never obnoxious. Crystal clarity. I tested with Tron Legacy soundtrack (amazing!!!!), Dark Side of the Moon, Muse, and my son's Madeon album and it was like hearing them for the first time. They look amazing, sound amazing. Even Rachmaninoff and Beethoven. I researched, and these were the best bang (literally) for the buck. Bass vibrates my house in an unobnoxious way.

Reviewed in Canada on January 24, 2023
These speakers are seriously incredible. I never write reviews, but in this case I feel compelled to due to the sheer enjoyment I'm getting from these. Fat clear and powerful bass, silky highs, defined mids, balanced, pick an adjective. Very forward speakers with a clear and wide stereo image when slightly toed-in. They are also really big, authoritative and just gorgeous, with a very high-end professional attention to detail.
Before they arrived, I was concerned they may not have enough bass compared to my previous system which had a subwoofer. After about 3 seconds I forgot about that: massive focused bass, delivering the "weight", better than the dedicated woofer I had before.

As a professional musician, guitar teacher, and audiophile who's listened to and owned tons of top brands and models going back to the early 80s, trust me, these speakers will blow your mind and put a smile on your face.
