I'm so glad I bought this whole series together. I really like the way Kennedy Fox writes and keeps me hooked the whole time until the book is over. I like each couple since they were all different and had their own ways they fell in love. Starting off with Travis and Viola being the classic Enemies to Lovers. They might not have ever been enemies though if Travis had known Viola heard what he said to Drew when they were younger. Travis had always really liked Viola and of course Viola always wanted Travis. It was perfect that they were stuck living with each other and able to work on their relationship. I hated seeing Viola move away for a time being but it is what they needed to grow. I loved that Travis changed from the playboy to the doting husband and father and Viola was such a good wife and mother.
Thanks to Viola and Travis being together, it forced the next couple Drew and Courtney to become closer. This story was exciting and their relationship was fun and playful. Drew finally realized what was in front of him and Courney never gave up. Their love was strong and that was how they made it through Drew's ex girlfriend Mia and everything she did to them. It was great meeting Courtney's family and how well Drew got along with all her brothers. I wasn't totally expecting what happened to Drew's exgirlfriend but was so glad she couldn't bother them anymore. It was great being able to keep up with how Travis and Viola were doing too along the way.
The last couple Logan and Kayla were the last to finally find love with each other. They had hung out plenty since they were friends with Travis, Viola, Drew and Courtney. Logan was to busy at first trying to push Kayla away to see how much better she could make his life. It was nice that we were able to relive the love story a second time after what happened to Kayla and saw just how much Logan loved her and would do anything for her. My heart broke when Kayla didn't remember Logan after the accident. On a side note I do like that Logan was a solider who had PTSD but was getting help for it and I hated that Courtney dealt with infertility but it made these couples more life like dealing with issues that many couples deal with. Life isn't perfect and these three couples loved each other but their relationships weren't perfect either. I loved how it ended even though I didn't it too but all the couples were wrapped up nicely.

Kennedy fox has truly made my heart happy. They put all the duets from the Checkmate series into one book. Now you can read back to back your favorite men and women. Plus the cover is fantastic. My heart is very happy right now.

This series was easy to get lost in, but I honestly
feel like Kayla and Logan did not get half as much time as the other two couples. I did enjoy how each story was interconnected on multiple levels and I especially love how we got to see everyone’s POV
