It is so much easier to pull-off Combos. I’m used to using a PS4 dual shock controller in general, but I got sick of using it and have decided to level up my game and went with this route. I could have gone and went with a cheaper Fight Stick, but I know eventually that I would end up upgrading anyway, so this totally worked out for me.
The button does take some time to get used to (the travel of distant s for the actual button to register is much faster than a PS4 dual shock controller). It may benefit you if you were to combo a lot. In my situation, I benefit a lot from it. One of the characters I use right now is Steve Fox, who is actually one of my favorite, i combo so much better. It’s easier to pull-off combos because of how fast the button travels. Coming from a PS4 dual shock controller, having to use joystick is much easier to pull-off the arrows needed to combo and side step (It is a breeze when you can just side step a Round 2 Kazumi’s charge attack with no effort).
If you Combo using the joystick on the PS4 Dual shock, transition to a fight stick like the Victrix Pro will be easy, I’d say it will be more fun. I use the joystick to Combo in the PS4 Dual shock controller, and when I used the joystick in the Victrix Pro, it’s just that easier to Combo.
I had only done some, but the Victrix Pro is customizable. First off, you can switch the ball top to a Bat top if you wish to do so. I had actually switch the default Ball top in the Link 2, the detachable shaft, to a custom Bat top. You can also customize the buttons. You can switch out the buttons to different buttons that feel more lighter or heavier. The buttons that comes with the Victrix Pro is a bit loud, again, you can switch that out the buttons to make it sound less loud. You have to research all of this on the internet though, but it customizing is possible.
In conclusion, the Victrix Pro was a purchase I have never regretted buying. It is super comfortable to play with, it has padding on the bottom that if you decided to place it on your lap, it wouldn’t make you feel uncomfortable. Pulling off Combos is much easier. It makes games even more fun than it already is. I forgot to mention that the Victrix Pro’s exterior is made out of Aircraft Grade Aluminum, it feels cold to the touch which my hands really appreciate it. This fight stick is also customizable, if you want the buttons to feel a certain way, even the joystick, you may do so. I know that this might be an expensive buy, but it is totally worth it if you play a lot of fighting games, it might just even help you get better playing! I would totally recommend this to anyone who is looking for a Fight Stick, especially people who play fighting games.
Tip: For those who just got the Victrix Pro, in order for you to insert in or take out the Link 2 detachable shaft, you must grab and hold the middle part of the shaft and pull it towards to the ball top in order for you to either insert in or take out shaft. I’ll include a photo on how to grab and hold the shaft.

The stick and buttons are Sanwa, with 8 black OBSF buttons and a JLF stick. But this JLF has a detachable top similar to Phreakmods Linq. It is in fact the Linq II and is very handy for removing the stick and storing in the bottom compartment. It also comes with a little rubber “cap” to cover the hole where your lever was, but one thing to note, there's no where to store the cap. I wedge it behind the included hex wrench in the bottom compartment.
Speaking of the bottom, the door to access the innards is there. Flip the stick over, and you get access to the buttons, wiring, PCB Board and the stick. It’s all very neatly put together with nice braided coverings on the wires (in Victrix signature purple). Buttons can be replaced and the stick as well. Note. There’s not a whole lot of room in here, and if you want to install a different stick, then you may not be able to. The spacing around the plate for the stick is very tight. So if you want to put in a different lever, this is not the stick for you. Buttons can be replaced easily enough, but the vewlix layout is tighter than say a Noir one (which is true for any sticks using the vewlix layout).
As far as replacing buttons, that’s what I did. As much as I love Sanwa buttons, one thing to note about this case. It’s loud. Much louder than any other stick. The tapping of the Sanwas are amplified greatly over a TE2, Obsidian, Panthera, RAP, Fighting Edge etc. It’s quite noticeable compared to those. I tried some 2nd Gen Silent Sanwas and they were great, muffling the sound a lot but keeping the classic feel. Then I also tried some Gamerfinger Silvers. These are also great. I decided to leave them in and I’m quite happy with them after using them for a couple weeks.
The stick has a touchpad button function(not a touchpad), as well as buttons for L3, R3 which you set up in the button bar above the layout. It also lets you control the LED lighting which glows from the sides of the stick, similar to the Qanba Obsidian, but with every color and light option you can think of. It’s a nice touch (though completely gratuitous and I’d take a version without the lighting for a lower MSRP). You can also turn it off.
The cord. A purple colored USB C able wrapped in braiding allows you to connect to the PS4 and is completely replaceable with any other normal USB C cable. This alone makes it highly desirable for me. My Razer Panthera is missing a cable which Razer cannot even provide since they changed the wiring on the Pro cable that comes with it. There’s die cast metal cord wraps on the top of the case so you can neatly wrap your cable up instead of wrapping it around the case like you see people do at tourneys. Very handy. With the handles too? Awesome.
Price is steep being such a premium constructed product, but after using it for a couple of weeks…I have to say that this is my favorite stick ever and replaces my favorite Obsidian as my primary travel stick of choice. If you can afford it and don't care about chaging the lever itself, it's fantastic.
All are designed for Sanwa parts.
The lever base of the FS has a divider. It is not possible to install the HAYABUSA lever and the golden lever.
The SEIMITSU lever has another base, but it is difficult to secure cable space.
The Link 2 system uses its own ball top. It means that it does not correspond to the existing bat top and ball top.
The top plate is uneven due to the claws of the button, and the ring fixed button is difficult to attach.
This is not a complete customization.
There is no touch pad. The button will substitute. However, the buttons can only be used by pressing the center of the touch pad, and can not be used vertically or horizontally.
It's a Stick lag, Similar in performance to Qanba Drone.
I wrote only negative things up until now, but if you pay $ 350, FS will bring you the best Sanwa parts stick.
A gentle tilt on the front, a space suitable for the installation of levers and buttons, a heavy metal with a strong body
It has a sense of luxury and is the best structure for play.

Luxurious matte textured finish, one piece aluminum body that is satisfyingly cool to the touch, well balanced with a perfect weight, customizable led lights, USB-C braided cable, headphone jack, and built with precision with a refined and well thought out design.
Everything about this stick oozes quality which makes it a joy to use. The top row of buttons have a satisfying crisp click, the amount of room to rest your hands is perfect, and the slanted area for your wrists is super comfortable. You will appreciate details like the engraved button labels, removable stick, removable metal cable/shoulder strap holders, easy access to internals, and ultra clean wiring.
This is one of those sticks where less is more. Some will scoff at the price, but it's definitely a high precision instrument that can be compared to something like a high-end professional camera.
Pros:
- Extremely high quality design
- Built with precision
- Sanwa parts
- Removable joystick
- Headphone jack
- USB-C cable
- Perfect weight on your lap
- Easy access to internals for customizing buttons and stick
- Smooth two tone rubber padding
- Customizable LED lighting to match your USB-C cable, buttons, or balltop upgrades.
- Touchpad
- Dual handles to pick up and carry the stick
- Silky matte textured aluminum casing which is resistant to fingerprints
- No cheesy artwork
- Customizable "Pro" button can be mapped
- Also comes with a standard non-removable Sanwa shaft and ball top
- Fantastic unboxing experience
- Comes with a soft branded protective cloth bag and nicely designed oversized manual
- PS5 compatible
Cons:
- Not easy to customize artwork. Options are to laser engrave (which is permanent), or a custom vinyl wrap that covers the entire design.
- The aluminum casing is beautiful, but amplifies the sound of button presses and joystick clicks. If your significant other hates your button mashing at night, I recommend getting silent buttons or the sanwa foam pads to dampen the sounds.
- There is an L3 button, but no R3 button
- The ball top is custom fit for the "Link 2" removable stick. If you wanted to put another ball top on, there will be a gap for where the shaft slides up to remove. I recommend getting the "Link EX Groove" if you want to use standard ball tops or bat tops.
- Only comes in black (for now)
- Time will tell if the body scratches easily or if the paint rubs off like version 1 of this stick.
- Pricey
- UPDATE: 1 Year Later -
This stick is still a beast. Everything looks like new and works perfect. Never had any issues other than random times I've shocked the controller off (my fault being on carpet with socks) and had to re-plug it in to connect. This happens with all my sticks when I walk around and then pick up the controller.
I can confirm the matte black paint does not scratch easily and the paint does not rub off like version 1. Finger prints are minimal. It's hard going back to my glossy plexi sticks where I have to continuously clean the surface off. And they aren't nearly as comfortable on the wrists as the Victrix.
I was wrong about the R3 button as you can program L3 to be R3 quite easily.
Still a 10/10. Pick this one up!
Whole thing was let down by a defective 'Pro' button, along the top of the stick. Button didn't work whatsoever, and those buttons can't be accessed via the opening on the bottom of the stick.
Considering the price and reputation of this stick, it's a huge let down that this thing has problems straight out of the box.
