After surviving a messy divorce and custody battle, Dr. Connor Wallen quickly became married to his job. Helping animals is the perfect distraction from his crazy ex, but finds it difficult to concentrate when an attractive woman joins his veterinary clinic. Getting involved with someone who works for him would only lead to disaster so staying professional is key.

He tries to ignore her but their chemistry is undeniable.

Elizabeth Bishop can’t stand her boss or how he treats her, but there aren’t many job options in small-town Texas. No matter what she does, it’s never good enough for Connor, but she keeps trying to impress him anyway.

She’ll never admit she’s attracted to him and denies it every chance she gets.

Avoiding him is impossible, but Elle keeps her distance whenever possible. After his walls start to crumble, she knows her feelings aren’t one-sided. She’s tired of playing his games and is ready to prove who’s really in control.

Although he pushes her away, she’s determined to pull him closer—showing him exactly what they’ve both been missing.

**Bossing the Cowboy is a complete stand-alone and can be read without reading any of the other books or spin-off series, but if you prefer to read in order, start with Hitching the Cowboy as the characters and families do interconnect.**

Bossing the Cowboy had so many great tropes that I love - single dad, slow burn, forbidden, boss/employee, age gap - but it missed the mark for me because it also had something I can’t stand - way too many time jumps! I lost track after five time jumps and it just became way too distracting for me to actually enjoy this book. When the couple finally gets together, it just became a bit too cheesy for my taste and all the conflicts wrapped up too easily. Definitely not my favorite, but I will continue with this series.

Bossing the Cowboy is a novel I couldn't wait to get my hands on. It reached all my best hopes and more. This single dad, workplace romance was such a great slow burn and a lovely addition to the Circle B Ranch Series. I seriously can never get enough of the Bishop family!

Elizabeth Bishop had me so intrigued about her rocky relationship with her boss, Dr. Connor Wallen, for a few books now and I was so glad to finally see their romance unfold. Their book spans over a few years and shows how much the aloof man fights his attraction for his younger employee. Their chemistry is so intense, but he's always pushing her away with his short answers and cold behavior. Under all his hard exterior though, that man is truly amazing. Elle is really driven and focused on becoming a veterinarian. Even if her boss enrages her at times by his actions, he's the best option to learn her future profession. The flowing sparks between them keeps getting even more palpable though the years and hiding them more difficult.

When they ultimately embrace their mutual feelings, it's exquisite to witness this couple! They're the perfect match and their shared moments are filling with sweetness and sexiness. Those two are explosive! Connor demonstrates how he's a great father and partner. He's devoted, charming and simply irresistible! The way Elle connects so easily with Connor's daughter, Olivia, is adorable and touched me immensely.

Overall, this novel checked all the boxes for an entertaining and heartfelt romance! I laughed at all the teasing between the Bishops, smiled at the cuteness of little Olivia and blushed over the intensity of this spectacular couple. This book made me live an amalgam of emotions! As it's the norm with this series, I have a lot to look forward to with the next novel, Winning the Cowboy! Ethan and Harper's story promises a lot of fun!

Connor is a single father and the town vet. Elizabeth aka Elle, is working towards her degree to become a vet and becomes Connor’s intern.

This story starts when Elle is just his intern and spans several years as she continues to work for Conner and continues to work on her degree. Throughout that time there is plenty of teasing between the two of them and loads of grumpiness from Connor as he tries to deny his feelings for Elle. I seriously loved these two, even though at times I wanted to just yell at them. Connor’s daughter, Olivia, is absolutely adorable and such a great addition to the story. She instantly connected with Elle and it was adorable.

Talk about a slow burn that is completely worth the wait! The entire time I kept thinking is this going to be it, are they finally going to admit how they really feel about each other and the give into the chemistry brewing. When that moment finally happens it is worth the long wait and once it happens it is full speed ahead.

If you’ve read the previous books in the Circle B series there is some overlap in the timelines, but it was fun to get things from a different perspective.

I loved getting more of the Bishop family and the hilarious dialogue between this group is always amazing. I can’t wait to return to Circle B ranch and get more of this amazing family.

If you’re looking for a slow burn, workplace, single father, small town romance this is one to check out!

Let me just say - I FREAKING LOVE THIS SERIES! I devoured this book in just a few hours. I could not and did not want to put it down!

Bossing The Cowboy is a work/slight age gap romance that I have been craving for a while now. In the previous stories in this series, we get glimpses of Elle and hear her complain about her boss, Dr. Dickhead - (Connor). He's the local vet and Elizabeth (Elle) works for him. Now we get all the details.

I love how this story overlaps with other stories! For the ones that have been following this series, I think Kennedy Fox did this story justice by going back and letting us readers see these two and certain situations in Connor and Elle's eyes.

The build is important. Without going backwards, the story would have fallen flat in my opinion.

This was probably one of the steamier reads out of the series. Who knew they had it in them?

It was also the only book in the series that had tears pouring down my face. So be prepared to have tissues handy.

I am hooked on this second generation of Bishops and I highly suggest reading this book as well as this series. I can't wait to see what Kennedy Fox has in store for the remaining Bishop family members!

Yassss another cowboy, but now make him the hot vet of the town!!!

Elle & Connor have butt heads ever since she can remember, but regardless she wouldn’t let that get in the way of her future as a vet. Elle needed shadowing hours & Connor being the gentleman he is let her do just that…but he wasn’t expecting the strong attraction that he felt towards her. And he decided being a grad A alpha hole would help him avoid doing anything stupid.

Y’all he was a grouchy single dad who became a big softie when it came to his little girl… SWOON.

The relationship between E&C blossomed so well along with their chemistry & my gosh the ending was so cute.

Olivia is adorable & I loved her. Her mom was such a POS, & baby girl Olivia deserved better!!!

Spice: 🌶🌶

Tropes:
Boss/employee
Forced proximity
Single dad
Age gap
Enemies to lovers

Book 4 in the Circle B Ranch series and can be read as a standalone. I haven’t had the pleasure to read the first three books in this series but after reading this book, I will be going back and jumping in to the others. Great single dad/age gap/boss-employee romance. Loved Elle and Connor. The relationship so much fun to witness. They had a chemistry and attraction that was intense but that didn’t stop them from taking time to get together. Loved their story and can’t wait to see what this fabulous duo has in store.

I love my visits to the Circle B Ranch in Texas and this book is the perfect addition to this wonderful series. This is Elizabeth (Elle) Bishop and her boss Connor Wallen’s story and it all starts when a Elle applies for a part time job as an intern at his Vets Clinic while studying to become a veterinarian herself. As soon as these two meet you know there is an instant attraction but Connor puts up a wall determined to keep Elle at bay and concentrate on his daughter who he only gets to see a few weeks of the year. As their story unfolds you get to see Elle break down the wall and you get to see the real man behind the grumpy mask and let’s not forget the adorable little girl who will steal your heart with the classic one liners only a child drivers well. This is my favourite so far in this series of stand-alone’s, I love the connection Elle and Connor shared, the wonderful Bishop family who all make appearances and I loved the concept of a story featuring the antics of two vets. Bossing the Cowboy is a well written, entertaining book that will appeal to a wide range of audiences and I highly recommend it.

Paging Dr. VetDreamy! The Doctor has now entered the building and he’s as scrumptious as I imagined he’d be!!!

In My Own Words:

Bossing The Cowboy by Kennedy Fox is the fourth book in the Circle B Ranch series. Elizabeth Bishop and Connor Wallen’s swoony and heartwarming single father romance can be read as a standalone.

Doctor Connor Wallen hasn’t had the easiest few years. Not only is he a single father to an adorable little girl, he and his ex are struggling in the co-parenting department. He’s never going to let another person in his heart again. He’ll never give someone else that opportunity to hurt him as much as he’s been hurt. If it isn’t about his daughter or his veterinarian pactrice, he’s not interested.

Elizabeth *Elle* Bishop is just as headstrong as she is stubborn. When she sets her sights on something she wants, she goes for it….whatever the cost shall be. When she first spotted Connor Wallen, she knew he was the man meant for her. But she was soon to discover Connor’s wall’s are as high as the eye can see and not easy to break through.

A summer internship at the clinic is all it takes to snap things back into focus. Will the back and forth be too much for Elle to handle? Will this single father finally let his walls fall down and let his heart go for what he wants? Only time will tell.

My Thoughts:

Oh my heart!!! It wasn’t ready for the ALL THE FEELS vibes. Connor and Elizabeth were EVERYTHING I could have ever imagined them being! Kennedy Fox stole my heart with this one. After reading the blurb for Bossing The Cowboy, I knew I would love this single father romance with a slight age gap. What I didn’t expect was to love it as much as I did. Connor and Elizabeth swept me off my feet and knocked me on my ass.. In the best of ways.

One thing I am loving about Kennedy Fox’s Circle B Ranch series, a spin off to the Bishop Brothers series, is the strong family vibes that you can only find in small town romances. I loved the original Bishops, and I love the new generation Bishops even more! I can’t even begin to explain how epic this family is.

Elizabeth Bishop is the daughter of Evan and Emily, you can read their story in Needing Him. Elle was raised to be independent and fierce, she was raised to be strong-willed and to reach for every dream and work her ass off for every goal she set. And that’s why she is the person she is today. I loved Elle’s personality so much. I could easily see both her mother and her father shining through. I loved Elle’s independence. I loved the fact that she is hardworking and goes for what she wants. She doesn’t let anyone stand in her way, even a stubborn as hell doctor.

Speaking of Connor Wallen… this man reached through the book and stole my heart. Not only is he drop dead gorgeous, he’s a kind and caring man and a great father. This man is the epitome of what a book boyfriend is! Throughout this novel, my heart broke over and over again for the situation he and his daughter, Olivia, are put through. This was a novel where I begged for the happily ever after to come sooner, rather than later. I love the heavy level of emotion that comes along with single father romances. I love the strong vulnerability that lays within the pages of these tropes. Conner's vulnerability touched my heart. This man shows strength on the outside, but beneath the surface he’s just as broken as the majority of us. Maybe even more.

I haven’t cried while reading in a long time… the dry eye streak has finally been broken. This novel pulled at my heartstrings, but there was one moment involving Connor and his daughter that had me on the edge of my seat clutching a tissue in one hand and my kindle in the other. I won’t give it away, but holy hell…. All the tears came out during that moment. My heart broke for these two.

I’m going to end my review by saying, this is my absolute FAVORITE book in the Circle B Ranch series!!! From the heart to the heat, from the sincerity to the sizzle… there is no denying, I loved it all! It’s going to be a long while before Elizabeth and Connor leave my mind. So,if you’re looking for a single father romance with all the small town feels, don’t hesitate to pick up Bossing The Cowboy by Kennedy Fox!

Confession time – it’s been forever and day since I last read a Kennedy Fox book. *shrugs* What can I say? I’m firmly placing blame on those pesky tangents *snorts*.

*whistles* Anyhoo.

Yes, BTC is Book #4 in the Circle B series.

No, I haven’t read the other three (see note above) … yet. *points* Key word: yet! (I was being so good lately not reading out of series order, but I just couldn’t help myself. *wails* I was like a moth to a flame!)

Anyhoo (yes, again!).

Lawdy, I can attest that bangxiety does in fact exist.

Tension, peeps.

Not just tension. I’m talking T-E-N-S-I-O-N tension (of the bow chicka wow wow kind!).

Connor and Elle’s story is like gorging yourself at an all-you-can-eat trope buffet; enemies to lovers, single dad, slow burn, angst-driven with a dollop of forbidden workplace romance. Yup, you’re gonna need an elasticated waist for this one. Oops! That sounds a bit rude, or is it me? *snorts*

Connor is the epitome of an arrogant SOB (with an entitled sense of always doing the right thing – even when he’s got it *so* wrong, lol.). Then he completely melts your heart with the love he has for his daughter whilst battling/trying to ignore (silly man!) his feelings for Elle. *sigh*

Elle is everything I expect a Bishop to be, independent, feisty, loyal, determined together with a heart of gold. What a Bishop wants, a Bishop gets – eventually!

BTC had my emotions all over the place. I love how I spent my time smiling, laughing, sighing, and having a wee swoon. Those are just the good emotions. I did not expect to bawl my eyes out at one point, but KF got me good. And that’s all I shall say on that.

Okies, that’s enough word vomit for one review. I’m off to play catch up before Book #5. My TBR is about to have a reshuffle!

“If my options are risking my heart or losing you for good, I pick the former.”

↠ full review on my blog: http://frusromancecorner.blogspot.com...

I have finished reading this book more than a week ago, and I am still so extemely disappointed. Words can not express how excited I was for this book since I first met Elle in the previous books and learned about her situation. Not to mention the fact that the epilogue of Wrangling the Cowboy (which is a wonderful age gap romance, go read it) definitely killed me (do not worry, Gavin and Maize get their HEA, but we get a little sneak peek into Elle and Connor's story and that is what had me on the edge of my seat).
The Bishop family has a super special place in my heart, their stories are my comfort reads, literally I could reread these books like a thousand times and still I could not get enough of them. Bossing the Cowboy checks all the boxes for me, because:

✔️ single dad romance (this trope is just *chef's kiss*)
✔️ workplace romance with enemies to lovers vibe (these tropes together are just on another level + I have never read a book in which both of the main characters were vets, so I couldn't wait to finally read this book)
✔️ the heroine of Bossing the Cowboy is Elle Bishop, who is Evan and Emily's daughter (my biggest favourite couple from the Bishop Brothers series, of course I was crazy excited to read more about their little family)

So why am I disappointed? There are many things in this book that made me feel this way, and it is so hard to write this down, because I seriously love this family so much, I wholeheartedly adore these books, but I can not say the same about Bossing the Cowboy. The story felt rushed to me, there were many time jumps. I can definitely understand that at the beginning of the story, some time jumps were necessary and without these we wouldn't get the full picture; but in the second half, there were more time jumps and these just gave a very rushed feeling to me. If you ask me, there could have been many many swoonworthy scenes, but the authors just quickly write a few sentences about these events, and that is it. Show me, don't tell.

It was not only the plot that felt rushed to me. In my opinion, Elle and Connor's relationship moved so fast too. They are extremely cute together, I love them with my whole heart, they are both wonderful, I am super happy that they get their HEA, but still, I feel that their relationship was a little bit rushed, considering the events Connor and his daughter have been through.

“For the first time in years, I pour my soul out to a woman, and risk everything.”

Now, in the previous books, we get quite a lot dialogues between the Bishop kids and the parents, and to me, those are always the highlights of the books. In Bossing the Cowboy, we get some scenes with Elle and her cousins and her brother, and those are pretty amazing, but I just would have loved if there were a tiny bit more. Especially with Evan. Oh my goodness when I have received the ARC, I could not wait to dive in just so I could meet him again and he barely said a few sentences. 😭 Maybe it sounds a little bit dramatic, but due to the fact that we get so many scenes with the parents in the previous books, I thought there would be a little bit more scenes with Evan and Emily in this book too.

“Don't test me, Elizabeth.”
“Why not, boss?”

I do not want to talk only about the negative stuff, so I would like to mention some aspects of the book that I loved. To start with: Elle and Connor. What an incredibly amazing couple! Connor is one of the best heroes I have ever read about, his scenes with little Olivia was absolutely precious and heartwarming. Elle is a super determined and inspiring character, just as her parents, I love that she does not give up at all. Elle and Connor together are one of the cutest couples ever, they share many adorable and super emotional moments, and I am so happy that they get their HEA. 💚
In my opinion Ethan, Elle's younger brother, is one of the highlights of this book, I absolutely love every scenes with him in it, he is so amazing, I really hope he won't get his heart broken. 🥺 Kissing the Cowboy, the next book in the series, will be his, and I will definitely read it, I am super curious, especially after reading the epilogue of Bossing the Cowboy, his story already sounds so emotional.

Taking everything into account, yes, it saddens me to see that this is how Elle and Connor's story turned out. However, I will read the upcoming novels in the Circle B Ranch series, because as I have already mentioned before, I wholeheartedly love these characters.

Final rating: 3 stars

I loved this one. Single Dad… Heck Yes sign me up 😊

I loved that this was a slow burn romance. I don’t do a lot of age/gap books (even this is not like out there age gap) but I like this one.

Elizabeth Bishop is studying to be a vet and she needs to do her practical, so she goes to work for Dr Connor Wallace in his clinic. And even though Dr Wallace is hot and sexy he is totally abrupt and gruff with her. Always answering in one words and always seems like his mad at the world. So she focuses on her career. But Connor is hiding a different side of him, especially when she gets to see him with his daughter 😊

After his marriage ended and his ex-wife made visiting with his daughter so much drama, Connor decided that women were not worth the trouble. So when he meets Elle he is attracted to her but he keeps her at a distance as he cant see himself going through that drama again. But the more time he spends with her, the more she is breaking down his walls. But can he put his heart on the line again or will he be disappointed yet again.

I liked that Elle knew what she wanted and she went for it. I knew the from the start that poor Connor was fighting a losing battle, lol… But my heart also hurt for him and his own problems. All these characters will just capture you from the start. Olivia was to adorable. I thought they would never get to the good parts. But you just have to read and see what happens 😊 ♥

Elle is working towards her dream of becoming a veterinarian so working with Connor in his veterinary clinic is the best way to ensure that happens. He may be a delight to look at but his abrupt and gruff personality doesn’t exactly make him likeable. She is determined to focus on her career and not give him too much thought until seeing him with his daughter makes her realize she didn’t really know him at all.

The end of his marriage was bitter as his ex-wife tried to make his relationship as difficult as possible with his daughter. Although he may be attracted to Elle he doesn’t need to add another person to the chaos of his life but keeping his distance is becoming harder every day.

Elle’s sassy personality is exactly what Connor needs in his life after everything he has been through as they take us on a heartwarming journey filled with humor heat and all the feel. Not only do the characters of Elle and Connor draw you in but catching up with the other characters we know and love is not something you want to miss.

Broken. Desperate. Those are the two feelings I felt whilst reading Connor and Elle.

Broken because Connor is broken, he’s scared to trust and give in to L O V E. his priority is Olivia but the intensity on how he see, feel and sense Elle undeniable. Broken well Kennedy Fox made me cry because why would you kill ...oh I see...now... it’s a push right?

Desperate hmmmm I felt how Elle felt...what more can she do to impress her boss when he is short with her at all times. Desperate because the push and pull is there and the amount of time he keeps fighting his feelings...geez

The built up to their story is on point, I mean, come on... that long?! Anaconda long lol but seriously Bossing the Cowboy didn’t disappoint it’s everything and more.

Smothered. Comedian. Talented. That’s how I would describe Kennedy Fox’s written words.

Bossing the Cowboy is my Circle B Ranch favourite.

Buckle up for the roller coaster ride of Connor and Elle story.

I absolutely love KF and their books but this one was a little bit of a miss for me. The blurb and most of the storyline was good. Single dad, workplace, boss/employee, age gap and it was a little slow burn. These are all things I love in romance, especially when written by one of my favorite duos. I really love seeing the next generation of Bishops but the one down fall of this book was the time jumps. There was just way too many for my liking. It felt almost rushed and it didn’t have the normal flow that KF’s books have.

The fourth book in the Circle B Ranch series, Bossing the Cowboy is a small town, single dad romance. This slow-burning read has a great storyline that is easy to read, well-developed characters, sizzling chemistry, swoon-worthy moments, angst, tension, humor, and a guaranteed HEA.

I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.

Ooh I wanna be part of the Bishop Family.

I’ve been waiting for Elizabeth’s story since Maize found her true love in Wrangling The Cowboy

I must say Kennedy Fox delivered with this one once again.

I loved Elizabeth and Connor. Broody. Alpha. Bossy. Strong female. Great work ethic. Love of animals. Single parent. It’s all in here.

This story kept me turning the pages waiting for Connor to finally give in and take what he wants.

I was laughing, crying, cheering throughout.

I loved that Grandma Bishop made her appearance again with her meddling lol.

And little Olivia of course stole the show too.

This series just gets better and better and I can’t wait for the next instalment.

Elizabeth and Connor gets 💚💚💚💚💚

this book spanned years. from elle's first day interning at connor's clinic to them actually confessing about their true feelings took ages. not that i didn't enjoy the slow burn, it was just different from the previous books in this series. i don't remember having the same experience of reading about the couple at different time period of their lives. it was pretty fun actually.

connor's attracted to elle from the beginning, there's no doubt in that, but he did nothing because it would've been a little inappropriate considering that she was interning and he's the boss. not only that, elle was younger and inexperienced while connor was going through a bad divorce. he wasn't in the right headspace and elle needed to concentrate on her studies. the time jumps made since considering these factors. plus, them fighting their own feelings just showed how much they were reigning in, especially from connor's perspective.

it's fun revisiting the circle b ranch once again with the close knit and loving family. they're chaotic but fun and supportive of one another. i liked how everyone was just waiting for elle and connor to bang and then announce their relationship.

connor's a great father. even though he didn't want to live so far away from his baby girl, he wouldn't do anything to jeopardise olivia's relationship with her brith mother. that being said, i'm glad that she was pulled away from a toxic environment and into a healthy one. his stoic demeanour changed so drastically to someone who jokes and dirty talks to elle.

as for elle, she's kind-hearted and loving. she took to olivia as quickly as olivia adjusted to elle. elle's passion for animals is proven time and time again when she's working in the clinic. although she acknowledged her feelings for connor, she does nothing because of how he has been treating her.

overall, i liked the slow burning romance between connor and elle. they worked great together.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

After surviving a messy divorce and custody battle, Dr. Connor Wallen quickly became married to his job. Helping animals is the perfect distraction for him crazy ex, but he finds it difficult to concentrate when an attractive woman joins his veterinary clinic. Getting involved with someone who works for him would only lead to disaster, so staying professional is key.
Elizabeth Bishop can't stand her boss or how he treats her, but there aren't many job options in small-town Texas. No matter what she does, it's never good enough for Connor, but she continues trying to impress him anyway. She'll never admit she's attracted to him and denies it every chance she gets. Avoiding him is impossible, but Elle keeps her distance whenever possible. After his walls start to crumble, she knows her feelings aren't one-sided. She's tired of playing his games and is ready to prove who's in control. Although he pushes her away, she's determined to pull him closer-showing him exactly what they've both been missing.

This is the fourth book in the Circle B Ranch Series from Kennedy Fox. It can however be read as a standalone. But you will see characters from the other books in this one and I highly recommend those books too. They are equally amazing and you will be falling in love with cowboys and cowgirls like crazy. This is the story of the town Vet Dr. Connor Wallen. He has the only practice in town and stays really busy as he sees patients in his office and makes mobile house calls and then there are emergencies. Now he has a interview with Elizabeth Bishop, who needs a job for the training hours in college as she is studying to be a vet herself. Her dream is to get this job, finish school and for Connor to hire her on full time as the other Dr. in the practice. There is an attraction between these two from the very beginning. But Connor has been burned by a terrible divorce and custody case and an ex wife who just up and takes his daughter to New Mexico which is four hours away and he still has to fight to see his daughter, who is going to totally steal your heart. So all this time he is fighting his attraction to Elle and the man is just downright rude to her sometimes. And there is the fact that no one knows what he has been through but his parents. So when people do meet his daughter they are so shocked. This book was so good!!! I devoured it and fell so in love with Connor, Elle and Olivia. You to watch this two fight there attraction and wonder if they are ever going to get it together!! I highly recommend this book and the entire series. I so can not wait for the next book because we get set up perfectly for it and to say I am very curious is a understatement.

4 Star review Bossing The Cowboy (Circle B Ranch #4) by Kennedy Fox
It was good to be back on the Circle B Ranch. This time we are getting Elizabeth (Elle) Bishop and Dr. Connor Wallen’s story and it was a good addition to the series. Elle is studying to be a veterinarian and when her grandmother arranges for her to intern for Connor you just know that things are about to become complicated.
After a messy divorce, Connor has thrown himself into his work and being a single dad to his daughter, Olivia (who almost steals the book from Connor and Elle). The last thing he needs is to be attracted to his new intern but that is exactly what happens.
You can feel the tension build as Connor does his best to ignore the attraction that he feels for Elle. Poor Elle, she has no idea why he is being such a jerk to her but she is determined to do her job, despite Connor. The progression of their relationship was entertaining to watch unfold as the story jumps in time on occasion.
Bossing The Cowboy is well written and you will be drawn in by the story that Kennedy Fox weaves. It was also fun to see some familiar faces make an appearance and I look forward to being back at the Circle B Ranch soon.

The narration by Lia Langola and Tor Thom was easy to listen to and they really brought the story to life for me. They expressed the emotions well, particularly the tension that exists between the characters and did justice to Elle and Connor.

Oh my stars, can these books get any better? Bossing The Cowboy takes you on a raw and real ride between Elle Bishop and Connor Wallen. There are so many moments that make your head spin, your heart race and absolutely swoon at the connection between these two. It is a classic hate to love and love to hate each other as these two butt heads while Elle is finishing school and she works for him in his vet office. But I found that the sizzling undercurrent drove these two to prove to each other that they are good at what they do. But when the fall finally drops and they finally get together, my heart exploded! I lived for these two. Their banter and wit but also that chemistry! It was hot and passionate. The connection that Elle had with Olivia too was just beautiful!
With everything that happens throughout this book, I was completely glued to my tablet as I devoured this book. It is such a raw and intense story between Elle and Connor and I loved how much they just fit. How much Connor fought his feelings to Elle fighting not yelling at him half the time. I felt such a deeper connection to this story with Connor being a single father. I felt those same emotions he did at one point. I think that’s why I felt that this story was so real. This is an epic addition to the Circle B Ranch and I am DYING for more!

Bossing the Cowboy is book #4 in Kennedy Fox’s Circle B Ranch Series. It is an entertaining, steamy and tortuous slow burn romance. Elle Bishop is the daughter of Evan and Emily Bishop, both hard working doctors, and she is following in their footsteps working just as hard as a veterinarian. She is juggling an internship with Dr Connor Wallen, and traveling back and forth to school as the story begins. The books spans several years and we meet Connor, single dad to Olivia. Between his daughter and some drama with his ex wife, and his veterinarian practice he does not have time for anything else and especially not the distraction of his intern, Elle Bishop. Connor is grumpy and came across abrupt and cold at times towards Elle. He is battling his attraction something fierce and does not mean to come across this way. Elle is just as attracted to Connor but never lets on to her feelings either. After three have passed Elle has graduated and received her accreditation letter we see things take a turn and the two finally open up and give into their feelings. When Connor confesses his feelings for Elle, I swooned so hard, and Elle’s connection to Connor’s daughter Olivia is just the sweetest! These characters are equally frustrating and loveable and I adored how everything turned out in the end. The entire Bishop family has my whole heart and I love how immersed in their world I become when I read a book in this series. I cannot wait for Ethan and Harper’s book next! If you love a good slow burn, workplace romance, single parent romance and cowboys this is the book for you!

Bossing the Cowboy was a slow burn, couldn’t put it down read.

Elle Bishop is a studying vet, doing her internship with Connor Wallen’s vet clinic in her small town of El Dorado

Elle is more than excited to work with Connor. He’s known for his amazing work but Elle finds he’s also a major asshole.

Connor’s goal is to keep his relationship with Elle as professional as possible, but that’s really hard when he can’t stop imagining what it would be like to kiss her. So instead he pushes it all down and in turn he becomes “assholish” to Elle, thought it’s unintentional.

When Elle finally finished college she’s ready to be a Dr at the clinic and push Connor to see her as more than a colleague. Connor may be the boss in the office, but Elle will be the one bossing him soon enough.

Elle and Connor had a lot of chemistry. We first see them together when Elle first interviews for the internship, so there is a ton of built of tension just waiting to explode. There were a few time jumps throughout the story which helped to progress their long relationship.

It is a slow burn for sure, but well worth the wait!

4/5 stars

Slow burn goodness! I have been waiting for Elle and Connor's story after we were introduced to them in the previous book in this series. Connor is a downright, delicious hunk of man. Smart, hardworking, and dedicated. Elizabeth has spent her whole like around a hardworking family and its natural that she's right there with them. She's always had a love of animals and its no surprise that she wouldn't want to take care of them for a living. These two met when Elizabeth was a teenager and she has always had eyes for him.

Working together now has made things complicated. Both of them hiding their feelings toward each other. Connor has a past and a daughter who is his entire world. Elizabeth only sees what Connor wants her to see and she's getting tired of all the cold shoulder. Their journey to each other is not an easy or a short one. When they clash, its all consuming and an undeniable need for each other.

Their connection oozed from these pages. I felt every emotion, a picture painted so vividly by this duo of authors. I was caught up in their story and couldn't get enough. The Bishop family holds a special place in my heart, each story keeps getting better than the last. Connor and Elizabeth's story has left me with a permanent smile on my face and I can't wait for the next one!

Loved being back with the Bishops, and the Circle B ranch! 5 stars for this one!

Here we get Elizabeth's story, she's been working at the local vet's office, run by Connor for years while going to vet school. Working for Connor while having a crush on him isn't always easy, but he makes it harder by always being hard on her.

Connor has been through the ringer with his ex wife, and has limited visitation with his adorable daughter Olivia. But he does have these feelings for Elizabeth, but he won't cross the line because she works for him and that will make it hard to work together, or will it?

Can she make him see her the way she's been dreaming of or will he continue to keep her at a distance? Grab this book and find out! I loved it, could not put it down!

Thank you to Kennedy Fox for providing me with an ARC of Bossing The Cowboy.

Bossing the Cowboy follows our main characters Elizabeth (Elle) and Connor. Elizabeth is an up and coming vet student become vet and Connor is her stubborn and dickish boss who owns the vet that she now works at. Connor has a past with his ex-wife and is fighting for time with his precious daughter Olivia.

I think this is my favorite Circle B Ranch books yet! I am all about the asshole boss turned lover trope and this hits it right on the head. The steaminess and chemistry between Elle and Connor really sealed the deal for me. I was hooked and finished this book in one sitting! If you love angsty workplace romance, look no further than Bossing the Cowboy!

This was a could not put down read. I love the Circle B series and it just keeps getting better. Each one also deals with such a different trope that it stays interesting. In this one, it was a boss/employee romance but it was also one where they just would not admit their feelings for each other. I know that it is promoted as a single dad romance as well but it isn't the typical single dad romance. This book moved through really quickly and though it didn't have much of a climax it was such a great feel-good read that you definitely need it in your life.

What an amazing story . Kennedy is one of my go to authors every single time.. I completely fell in love with both Elle and Connor .Connor had so much going on in his life but still found the time for Elle .Elle is just one of the sweetest and kindest people you will ever meet .my heart definitely ached for Connor ,he is a bit standoffish when it comes to the idea of opening up to a new relationship as he was hurt in the past .Elle has had a huge crush on Connor since she was 14 yrs old . Unfortunately the huge obstacle standing in their way is that he is now her boss . Wow this story is fantastic, it has all the feels and so much more . I adored every single minute ❤️❤️
