Great Start to a New Series by Golden Angel.Master Mitch and Domi have a friendship but she never thought it would turn into more until one night when he proposes to turn their friendship into a friends with benefits relationship or as Domi calls it "Bondage Buddies" and since she can't find any downside to the arrangement she agrees to it.Domi is a single mother so the arrangement with Master Mitch works perfectly for her...that is until feelings start to take root. With the chemistry that Mitch and Domi have is it any surprise that their carefully constructed Bondage Buddies agreement would start to blur the lines into something more, nope not even to their friends that were watching from the sidelines.I know Golden Angel has written many books before this one but Bondage Buddies was the first book of Golden Angel's that I have read, I was introduced to her work in the Christmas at the Club: A Christmas BDSM Romance Anthology and after reading that short story I knew I wanted more so I added a couple of her books, in different pen names, to my Amazon Wishlist and even more to my Goodreads TBR shelf. I grabbed a copy of this book when it was on sale for .99 but I was totally surprised when I received a package from Amazon with not one book but two from Golden Angel herself, I mean seriously how cool was that!I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys BDSM Romances, Friends to Lovers Romances, or Single Parent Romances.Happy Reading!!!

This was the first book I have read like this. Im normally a fantasy romance reader. I found a few clips on tik tok from this book and had to read more about it. The idea of this adult BDSM club and how things worked was interesting. I really like the main couple this book really focuses on, Domi and Mitch. Domi is a submissive who end up in this agreement with a Dominate names Mitch. They enjoyed their scenes together at stronghold, an adult BDSM club and wanted to have this first dips thing, kind of like friends with benefit's, no string or emotions attached. Oops, that goes out the window, Domi realizes she is actually falling for Mitch and tries to end their agreement; they are both not interested in a serious relationship or so they thought. Mitch realizes he actually really likes her too so they give it a try, his book follows their interesting relationship with a few little hiccups in that journey. The spice in this book... oh my...the spice in this book is just wow! I liked this so much I had to order the rest of the series. Reading the second book now!

This is the first book in the Masters of Marquis series. Although you don't need to read the Stronghold series before this, I highly suggest you do.

* How did the book make you feel?: I really enjoyed this book, but I LOVE all Golden Angel books. It was fun a light and had a few twists that I wasn't expecting.

* How do you feel about how the story was told?: I liked how the author changed the POV of the story. I was able to understand the feelings of the main characters better.

* What did you think about the main characters?: I remember meeting both Domi and Mitch in the Stronghold series but I can't remember which book. Domi is a strong character and knows what she wants. She loves the idea of having a 'bondage buddie' and doesn't want anything more. I enjoyed reading how Mitch was so unsure of relationships and how he slowly became aware of his feelings for Domi. The development of the characters was so good.

* Which parts of the book stood out to you?: The BDSM scenes stood out the most. Golden Angel knows how to write a sexy, hot scene without it feeling like the whole book is X-rated. She writes in the feelings of the characters and you can almost feel like you are a part of the story.

* What did you think about the ending?: I enjoyed the ending. I felt the author had a good closing to the story. They didn't end up married, or at least not yet, but there were no loose ends. The book wasn't rushed. It was a complete story. I loved the Epilogue into the next book. What a cliff hanger. I don't want to wait for the next book, I want it NOW!!

* What is your impression of the author?: I just love Golden Angel. I've read almost everything she has. I have a love/hate feeling for her. Love her books but hate that I am all caught up in the series and now I have to wait for her to finish her next book.

This is my first book by this author. Although it is the first book in the series, I could tell there were some overlapping characters with the Stronghold series. Despite that, I felt this was easily read as a standalone and ends with a HEA. It is written in third person from an alternating dual POV.

I really liked Domi and I appreciated that she found a way to meet her needs through the clubs while avoiding relationships. Mitch was a surprise. I loved the humor and fun he exuded even as a dom. There are times when he allows himself to be vulnerable, and those times were beautiful. Domi and Mitch both have to come to terms with the fact that they have developed feelings despite that not being part of the plan. They were both so surprised and I thought that was funny. Each of them have friends who support and love them and I adore seeing that in books. I also really appreciated the coparenting relationship Domi has with her daughter's father and his wife. I loved that their relationship also evolved as Domi and Mitch fall for each other.

This was a well-written and super-steamy read. The physical scenes explore all aspects of BDSM and I loved the way the characters communicate in those moments. I really enjoyed the love story that was deep and well-developed even though they started out as bondage buddies enjoying the physical relationship. I appreciated how difficult it was to backtrack to dating after months of physical intimacy. I loved the character development and growth. Though this is my first read by this author, I am definitely excited to read more.
