I love catching up with the Baltimore Breakers Hockey Team and single mum Julie (Jules) Blackstar and Breakers defense man Luca (Cas) Castillo is a wonderful addition to this great series. Jules is doing her best for her son Ethan, she attends school and works as a waitress to makes end meet and the last thing on her mind is love or a relationship. Her past will always make her wary of men but Cas is loving and caring and he is determined to show her not all men are the same…….

It was entertaining to watch the push and pull dynamic as their relationship progressed and Cas finally broke down the walls that Jules has built. These two were so well suited to one another and their story made for a wonderful and emotional read. As always the camaraderie between the players and their significant others also added an additional layer to the story. It was also heart warming to watch as Cas also developed a relationship with Ethan.
