Make hands-free phone calls and easily stream audio with a Bluetooth connection to your smartphone. An included external microphone ensures your voice is heard loud and clear on the other end of your calls.
Lots of inputs
Blaupunkt builds two USB ports into this receiver. Plug your smartphone into the rear input for charging your smartphone (and music playback control of most iPhones). Use the front-facing USB port to plug in a flash drive and play digital music files. A front-facing aux input lets your incorporate an old portable music player. And if you have music stored on an SD card, this Blaupunkt lets you use that too. Plus, you'll get great AM/FM reception to enjoy your favorite stations.
Build a sweet system
If you're planning to expand your car audio system in the future, the Bremen SQR 46 DAB includes a full set of 4-volt preamp outputs. Plus, you'll be able to do some fine tuning with the built-in parametric EQ.

Note: Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) features are not supported in the United States, so if you're using this receiver in U.S., you will not need to install the included DAB antenna.

Bluetooth & iPhone Integration
Built-In Bluetooth: Thanks to built-in Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, the unit can connect wirelessly to your Bluetooth enabled smartphone or tablet device for hands-free communication (HFP) and wireless music streaming (A2DP/AVRCP). You can pair up to 5 Bluetooth devices at a time and keep 2 phones connected at a time, but only 1 audio device can be connected at a time.
- Hands-Free Communication: During an incoming call, the unit's display will indicate "Incoming Call" with the number of the caller. The current audio source is muted and a ring-tone will be heard through your vehicle's speakers. Press "Phone" button on the front-panel to answer and end a phone call. You can make a phone call from the receiver by entering the phone number manually, selecting a contact from your phone's transferred phonebook, pressing a stored preset (1-5) for speed dial, or using your voice (phone must also support voice recognition). The included external microphone carries on your side of the conversation, while your vehicle's speakers are used to hear the other person.
- Wireless Audio Streaming: The Bremen SQR 46 DAB allows you to play back stored music and music apps from your Bluetooth enabled smartphone, tablet, or audio player. You can control basic music playback functions (Play/Pause & Previous/Next Track) from the head unit. Advanced music navigation will still need to be done through your Bluetooth mobile device. This unit does not display song/artist/album information from connected Bluetooth audio devices. When an incoming call or outgoing call is in progress from your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone, audio streaming will be paused so you can take your call. Once the call is finished, your streaming music will resume.
Note: Due to the differences in Bluetooth technology, some Bluetooth enabled devices may be incompatible, function improperly, or may not support all features when used with the Bremen SQR 46 DAB.
iPod/iPhone USB Direct: The unit's front and rear panel USB ports can be used to connect select Apple iPod and iPhone devices for music playback. You'll be able to playback stored music, browse music libraries, and view song/artist/album text. If you connect an iPhone (with cellular service provider), you'll also be able to playback music apps with basic control functions and metadata display.
- Control: From the head unit's front-panel controls you can search for stored music by Playlist, Artist, Album, Song, and Genre. Other supported playback and search functions include Play/Pause, Previous/Next Track, & Random/Repeat.
- Display: During playback, the unit will display song, artist, and album information (when available). This unit does not support Album Art.
- Charging: Your iPod/iPhone devices will be charged via when connected to the receiver's USB ports (max. 1A), and the vehicle's ignition switch is set to ACC or On.
Note: The two USB ports are independent of one another. You'll select either the front USB or rear USB port for iPod/iPhone playback. The unit does not combine the music libraries from both connected iPod/iPhone devices.

Dual USB Ports: The Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 DAB is outfitted with two USB-A ports; there is one on the front and one on the back. The front-panel USB port is hidden behind a flip-up door. The rear-panel USB port is attached to the chassis via 7" cable. In addition to iPod/iPhone connectivity, the USB-A ports support playback of MP3 (32-320kbps) and WMA (32-320kbps) music files stored on a USB Mass Storage Class (MSC) device - such as a USB thumb drive (up to 32GB). It can recognize up to 30,000 music files. The USB MSC device must be formatted in FAT 16 or FAT 32.
- Control: Supported playback & search functions include File/Folder Search, Play/Pause, Previous/Next Track, & Random/Repeat.
- Display: During playback, the unit will display song, artist, and album information (when available). This unit does not support Album Art.
- Charging: USB devices that can be charged via USB will be charged when plugged into the receiver's USB port (max. 1A), and the vehicle's ignition switch is set to ACC or On.

Aux Input: There is a front-panel Aux input hidden behind a flip-up door. The Aux input consists of a female minijack (3.5mm) port. The Aux input allows you to connect practically any audio source device with an analog or headphone output for playback through the Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 DAB.

4-Channel Amplifier: The Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 DAB employs an 24 watt (RMS) x 4 channel amplifier that can power up to two pair of speakers.
5Ch/4V Pre-Outs + Sub Control: The Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 DAB is outfitted with 5ch/4V pre-outs (Front, Rear, & mono-Sub) for adding external power amplifiers and powered subs. The front and rear pre-outs can be faded, while the mono-sub out is non-fading. The sub output also offers independent level control (0 to +7) and low-pass crossover adjustment (80/120/160Hz).
Audio Settings: The Bremen SQR 46 DAB features a variety of audio settings and adjustments to fine-tune and tailor the sound to your liking. The audio settings are saved globally for every source.
Equalizer: The Bremen SQR 46 DAB is equipped with a 3-Band EQ and EQ Presets. EQ presets include Pop, Rock, Classic, and Off (User). The Off (User) mode allows you to manually adjust the head unit's 3-band parametric EQ (Frequency, Level, and Q-Factor).

X-Bass/Loudness: The X-Bass/Loudness feature allows you to increase (0 to +3) the Bass output at lower volume levels. You can select which bass frequencies (60/80/120Hz) to increase.
Power-On Volume: You can set the volume level the Blaupunkt digital media receiver will turn on to when powered up. Select 1 through 50, or Last Volume.
AM/FM Tuner: The built-in AM/FM tuner provides manual, seek, scan, and preset tuning. The unit offers 3 FM banks and 1 AM bank; you can store up to 5 radio stations in each bank for a total of 20 radio presets. With Travelstore, you can automatically search for and store the 5 AM or FM stations offering the strongest reception in the current bank. Any previously stored stations in this memory bank are deleted in the process. The scan feature allows you to scan either every receivable station or every stored station of a current AM/FM band.
- RDS (Radio Data System): RDS (Radio Data System) is a service used by some radio stations to transmit data outside of normal radio broadcast signals. When an RDS station is received, you can immediately find out what kind of data is being transmitted by looking at the program service name which appears in the display after the frequency.
- US/European Tuning: You can switch between USA, Europe, Asia, South America, and Thailand tuning.
Note: The built-in DAB+ tuner and included DAB antenna are not used and not supported in the United States and North America. DAB+ is only supported in European countries.
Beep Tones: An audible beep tone confirms each function selection. The beep tone can be disabled/enabled in the Setup Menu.
Display & Remote Features
Single-Line LCD: The Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 DAB features a 9-digit, single-line front-panel display with a wide-viewing angle and adjustable brightness (1-16). There is also an illumination wire that can be connected to your vehicle's head-lamp circuit which allows the head unit's display and button illumination to dim and brighten when the vehicle's headlights are turned on and off.
Variable Color Illumination: The Bremen SQR 46 DAB offers variable color illumination for its LCD and button illumination. There are over 729 colors that can be customized and selected. The LCD and button illumination will always be the same color.
IR Remote: The 18-button IR remote control provides wireless operation for the digital media receiver, including answering and end a Bluetooth phone call.
Steering Wheel Control Input: The Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 DAB is equipped with a steering wheel control input (3.5mm) which allows you to connect an optional SWC adapter (sold separately), so you can retain your vehicle's factory steering wheel controls.
