About the Author

Jake Cross was a seventies child who started writing at a young age. He started with fantasy because there was no research needed for an invented world. Early short stories covered probably every genre except dieselpunk-romcom. Although he now writes thrillers, Jake’s reading love is true crime. Other interests are MMA, snooker and driving. There are no dieselpunk-romcom novels planned.

Highly recommend! Loved this book, it was so fun to read and kept ,interested throughout.I also liked the characters ?

In the ending explanation, it’s just as complicated as all the action. Not sure why it ended like it did, since I would have used all the evidence collected to clear it up. However, people were killed and everything was still under investigation.

J: I have been trying to force myself to finish this book since about a third in. It is taking too long to start making sense, too much running. Every incident in the country seems to be somehow blamed on Nate by police. There are way too many bad guys and too many irrelevant details. Started reading just the dialogue. It's just not holding my interest.

Definitely recommend this book. I didn't expect the ending and it was a surprise. Kept you guessing the whole way and read this book within 3 days. If you like crime thrillers then buy this book now.

This is my first book by this author, I enoyed it from beginning to end. This book is full of action, edge sitting suspense and will keep you turning pages until the end. I was pulled into the story right from the beginning and made to feel as if I was right there in the story. The characters are well developed and kept the story engagging. I will be looking for more from this author for sure. I highly recommend this book.

I liked that it started out really fast, but then it, in my opinion, got pretty slow. I can not say that there was too much information, but it almost came to a traffic jam. Then it picked up the pace towards the end. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book from Bloodhound Books.

Its has a lot of twists and turns, at time it a little stereo typed, the ending really dosent make sense.

At first I thought that this was going to be a bit of a disappointment. The initial third person narrative style with sort of short staccato sentences at times reminded me of the dialogue in the Sin City movie. It jumps straight into the action and although the central character was hardly impressive the idea to team him up with one of his would be killers worked really well. Although I found some bits less convincing I did enjoy this book.

I really enjoyed the fast pace and liked the relationship between Nathan and Toni. I did get a little lost sometimes with all the alias names and keeping in mind who they really were. Good ending but would have liked some more just to say a year on or so. I would definitely read this author again.

Loved the banter between the main characters, which are enemies forced to work together. Good action, good pace.
