When Behringer decided they wanted to make an exceptional set of studio monitors, they contacted one of the most renowned speaker designers in the world - the founder of KRK, Keith R. Klawitter. Keith designed the unique glass fiber speaker cone, known for its outstanding bass punch and transient response. Combined with Keith's "Advanced Waveguide Technology" silk dome tweeter, you can expect powerful lows, detailed mids, and smooth highs from the Behringer Nekkst K5.

Clear sound from bi-amped design

With 100 watts of power and a bi-amped design, the Behringer Nekkst K5 is primed for powerful, clear performance. The bi-amped design powers the low-frequency and high-frequency drivers separately, allowing each to work more efficiently for clearer sound.

Optimize the sound for your room

While the Nekkst K5 is designed with a flat frequency response, rear-panel switches let you fine-tune it to compensate for your environment. There are high frequency and low frequency controls to compensate for the general sound of your room, plus a room compensation control to accommodate different speaker positions.

VERY SATISFIED

I've been using these speakers for about a month now and I couldn't be happier with them. I have a home studio and they perfect for a small room. I've recorded everything from solo acoustic guitar to keyboard oriented progressive rock and the sound from these speakers faithfully reproduces what I'm hearing in my headphones.

Behringer Nekkst K5 5 inch Studio Monitor

After having the Behringer Nekkst K5 studio monitors for almost two weeks now I am more than happy. They put out all of the high and low frequencies beautifully. I can listen to a playback from something I recorded and it sounds perfect. They were easy to set up and ideal for mixing sound. I also have to mention the outstanding service I received from Sweetwater when I purchased them. They were packaged and shipped the same day I bought them and arrived at my place in perfect condition. Thank you Sweetwater.

Beyond impressed

I could not be happier with my choice of the NEKKST K5. I only wish I could justify the overkill of K8s but these are more than adequate for my needs. The first thing I did was play back an instrument track that was down the middle and the monitors disappeared. I literally was looking at a nonexistent speaker in space - excellent. I then played a couple reference tracks from YES and Tears for Fears and was actually reminded of the 901s I bought at the Far East Trader back in the day. If I had to gripe about something it would be the included power cords that measure in at 5 ft. For those with a mixing desk that isn't a problem, but I have them on stands and require an extension cord on both. MORE CORDS is no bueno. For someone in a different position looking for larger monitors, I cannot imagine anything would be more cost effective than the K8s. For those with smaller spaces, these will make your day. It's no wonder that KK is proud of these.

They Work!

I got a pair on sale. I probably would have spent much more money if it weren't for capacitors always going out in everything I own. They're replacing a pair of Mackie MR5's, and I can hear more mid-range detail in these. The NEKKST K5 light in front makes them look cheap, but that's the only thing I don't like about them after eventuating them for a week. Excellent value for the price, and when a capacitor goes out, I can just buy another one.
