4 star Review Bad Best Friend (Billionaire’s Club #14) by Elise Faber Having read a number of books by Elise Faber I could not wait to read Bad Best Friend. This was an entertaining story and I quickly became invested in Cora and Rafe’s friends to lovers story. I really liked these characters. Cora has known Rafe all her life and he has always been an “adopted” brother. However all that chained a few years ago when she started to get feelings for him. What she doesn't know is that he has feelings for her too and things are about to get complicated. I really felt for Rafe, he loves Cora but doesn’t want to jeopardize the relationship he has with her family, after all they have been the only ones who have been there for him. I fell hard and fast for Rafe and enjoyed the push and pull dynamic of their relationship as they moved from friends to lovers. Bad Best Friend had heat, humour, love and characters who were easy to relate to as it ticked a lot of the boxes for me.

If you love friends to lovers look no further that Cora and Rafe’s entertaining story. Cora has known Rafe all her life after all he has been friends with her brothers all his life and that has made him part of the family. Problem is as Cora gets older her feelings change and for the past few years she has wanted more that friendship. When she realises he feels the same, things start to get complicated so will either of them risk the relationship he has with her family for love and happiness. I really enjoyed this couples journey and I found myself sitting in the edge of my seat thinking will they take a chance. This book has it all, great humour, sizzling chemistry, wonderful characters but more importantly lots of love and family loyalty.

Is there an HEA for Cora and Rafe? This is my first read by this author but it won’t be the last. This was a great story about a woman with six older brothers. Cora can’t keep a boyfriend because her brothers manage to drive every man off. She wants her own HEA but she knows she needs someone who isn’t afraid of her brothers. She does love them but enough already. Then to top it off, their friend Rafe shows up with his bags and informs her that he’s moving in (it’s either him or her brother). I loved Cora. She allowed her brothers to “protect” her but didn’t roll over and let them walk all over her. Rafe is like another brother, he’s part of the Protect Cora team. But now that they’re sharing her place she realizes that he’s not her brother and he’s not afraid of them either. Rafe finally realizes that Cora is “the one” but he’s got baggage. They were a great couple and knew each other well. I loved their interactions. Great read. There is a listing of “the cast of characters” at the beginning and I was afraid I wasn’t going to be able to follow the book so far into the series but this can standalone (although I have to confess I’m going back to catch up on the other stories). We’ll developed characters that I enjoyed meeting. Great storyline and a wonderful HEA.
