The worst day of my life happened when my boyfriend died.
As I grieve my loss, I learn that I’m carrying his baby.

My religious parents will never accept a pregnancy out of wedlock, and telling them means I risk losing them completely.

The guilt of what we’re doing eats at me as I struggle to deal with my emotions. Just as I come to terms with our new situation, I learn Hunter’s been keeping secrets. And I’m left to make the hardest decision of my life—follow my heart or walk away from him.

BABY YOURS is book 2 in the Hunter & Lennon duet and must be read in order.

⭐️ 5 "Perfect HEA" Stars ⭐️
Wow! I’m sitting in front of my computer screen right now, still searching for the rights words to express my absolute love for Baby Yours! I’m reeling from the flood of feels this compelling novel gave me! Everything in this story was so well executed that I was so invested into the romance between Hunter and Lennon. Kennedy Fox might have succeeded in writing my new favorite book of theirs!!

"You're my best friend. The person I trust more than anyone. The person I can't see my life without..."

The dosage between emotional, sweet, angsty was so perfect. I already loved Hunter and Lennon, but nothing could have prepared me to be even more infatuated with their mesmerizing relationship. They’re still healing form the loss of Brandon, but together they find strength and comfort. Seriously, everything is so effortless between these two! They put a swarm of butterflies in my stomach and made me overly excited for their feelings to be exposed.

Hunter is so sweet and devoted and taking it slow with Lennon, hiding his biggest truth. But, it’s more than ever difficult to keep his love a secret when they both play fake newlyweds for Lennon’s parents. He says all the right things and enchanted me even more. He’s protective of the young woman, loyal, insanely in love with her that I felt it in his every simple gestures toward her! I felt crushed with Hunter’s struggle to keep his feelings hidden when he grows so close to Lennon, but never close enough. His flashes of hopelessness when her reciprocating them were almost an impossible dream had me teary-eyed!

As much as I adored Hunter in this sequel, I must also say that Lennon was incredible. She’s so conflicted about the emotions Hunter elicits in her when they’re “faking” a relationship. She has difficulty admitting to herself these reactions to him are real! I still felt it was the perfect pace for them before they get together, because she’s still mourning! She grows so much in this book, finding courage to stand up to her decisions. It’s a slow process, but it’s there and she’s a great example of bravery!

The slow burn was once again agonizing to read, but at the same time I got all the feels all read long from this entrancing couple. Their undeniable chemistry had me giddy. They made me smile, laugh, cry as well as hyperventilate from the hotness. When they finally succumb to the temptation and love, it’s just perfection! They just made me so happy I was overcome by so many sensations!

"Everytime you pushed me away, I was determined to pull you closer. You fought me, and it only made me love you harder. You denied me, but I loved you from afar."

Baby Yours is a brilliant conclusion to Hunter and Lennon’s love story! I couldn’t have wished for a more perfect ending to their romance! Kennedy Fox crafted an emotional slow burn with an impeccable balance between sweet, sexy and poignant! Now, I’m so ready for Sophie and Mason’s story it’s not even funny. The last few lines of the story were so chocking and a great preparation for their upcoming duet!!!

WOW! This is probably one of my FAVORITE duets but that ending ROCKED me. It was so unexpected that I gasped out loud! AH! Now I need Truly Mine as the end of this book sets us up for that one! Kennedy Fox... You are either evil or genius LOL! Anyway, Baby Yours is a wonderful novel and I loved continuing the journey with Hunter and Lennon from Baby Mine. These two captures my heart from the get-go and I couldn't be more pleased with how their personal story ended. It was hard in the beginning for me because their story took me on an emotional roller-coaster but it ended exactly as I would have wanted. I am really going to miss them! Hopefully we will see more of them in Mason and Sophie's story (coming next!).

If you haven't had the pleasure of reading the first book in this duet; Baby Mine: Hunter & Lennon, #1 the you are going to need to before reading Baby Yours. This is a duet that is meant to be read in order as it follows Hunter and Lennon's love story through both books. If you HAVE read it then you are in for a treat with Baby Yours! Kennedy Fox gives their readers all the feels and I swear I swooned for Hunter even more than I did in the first book! There is just something about a man who goes after what he wants that does me in! I won't get into the plot as it would spoil the duet for potential readers but I will say that it is everything romance readers want and need in their books! You will swoon, laugh, cry, and LIVE these characters to the very last page. Falling in love with both of them isn't hard and I know many people are going to adore these two just as much as I did. Sigh... So good!

If you are in the mood for an emotional but sweet and sexy romance duet then this is a must read for you! Be warned though once you start you will be hooked and have a hard time stopping once you start to read. I read /devoured this book in one day (today) and still want more! Gosh, I just can't wait for the next one!

5 My Heart is Full CROWNS

My heart...it is so full and happy. Kennedy Fox takes a story of tragedy, and it rejuvenated my soul with Lennon and Hunter's journey.

Lennon and Hunter do not undergo a huge character evolution in this book. What Hunter has always wanted, is still what he wants. What Lennon feels for Hunter, also goes relatively unchanged. But this story isn't really about their evolution. It is a tale about their love overcoming tragedy and guilt, as well as other extenuating circumstances. What we do get is more of Hunter being swoony. I honestly love this man more than words, and once Lennon gets it together and realizes she controls her HEA, I enjoyed her character as well.

In true Kennedy Fox fashion, this story gives you all the feels. There is angst and romance, there are shocking and steamy moments, and moments of pure uninhabited joy. I couldn't have been more satisfied and fulfilled by their journey. What this duo has successfully done with this book as well is make me insanely excited for the next sister's story. I need it ASAP.

Kennedy Fox continues to bring the steamy, angsty goodness with the conclusion to Hunter and Lennon's story. It exemplifies that love can survive tragedy, and while life moves in, there can be a happily ever after.

BABY YOURS was the perfect conclusion to Hunter and Lennons story. After being left on that insane cliffhanger in the first book, I couldn’t wait to finally get stuck in to the next part of their story. This one had ALL the feels and my emotions were all over the place; flipping between crying with laughter and then crying with sadness, mixing a little rage in there for good measure too (Jenna, I’m looking at you!!)
Kennedy Fox are an awesome writing duo and the words flow seamlessly. This duet definitely has to be be one of my favourites of theirs to date. After that ending, I am DYING to read Sophie and Masons story. It’s going to be all about the drama, I can already tell!!!

I didn't think I could possibly love Hunter more but it happened. My heart hurts so much, I just wanted him to be happy of course with the situation he's in, it's not an easy thing to achieve. Gah, him and Lennon are just so perfect together, watching them pretend to be a couple was the best. Lennon fought it but even when pretending they felt so real and everyone could see it, how perfect they were for each other. I swooned so hard. Hunter is just the best, he's so selfless and he would do literally anything for Lennon, even if he had to keep living in a pretend world and only be her friend. I just love him so much and admire him so.

Kennedy Fox have just given me my new favorite slow burn romance ever. If you thought the angst and the slow burn were over in book 1, then you are in for a ride. Baby Yours is just as angsty as Baby Mine, if not more because this time they are pretending to be together, so it's even harder for them, specially Hunter, to have her one minute and not have her the next. It's pure torture for him.

I loved Lennon in this book so much. She was till grieving Brandon and was dealing with a lot of guilt but she was growing, learning to let things go and finally taking a stand when it came to certain things. I loved her new attitude and watching her be a mother was great. And that little girl stole everyones hearts. Watching Hunter with her, oh my heart. Time went on and Hunter was always there for his two girls, still there even after Lennon rejected him, still there after everything and never leaving. After a reality check, with the help of Lennon's sister, she finally realised her feelings for Hunter were very real and after all the truth had come out, there was no doubt at all of what Hunter felt for her. And once it became real, they were even more perfect than before. I serioulsy love these two, they might be my new favorite KF couple (I feel like I'm cheating saying this but it's true).

Baby Yours is a angsty ride that will pull all the emotions out of you, just like I'm sure Baby Mine did. It's a beautiful, heartwrenching story with so much turmoil, love, secrets, drama and just a whole lot of angst. Kennedy Fox always manage to surprise me, their writing keeps getting better and better and they are the perfect story tellers, their plots are full proof and always so epic, no matter the trope they write. I thought I could never love anything as much as I love the Bishop Brothers but they have proven me wrong because I freaking ADORED Hunter and Lennon to pieces. If the other two duets are anything like this one... and with the little teases we got through out this duet and then that final jaw dropping moment at the end that left us wanting the next book stat, yeah I know the second duet will be just as good and I cannot wait to get my hands on it.

I liked this book a lot but, to be honest, I didn't enjoy it as much as the first one. It was definitely a great way to continue the story of Hunter and Lennon and there wasn't something that bothered me but I just wasn't that excited about it.

I wasn't sure if I would continue the series right now but after that cliffhanger how could I not?!

Baby Yours picks up right where Baby Mine left off and I have to say, this was the perfect conclusion to Hunter and Lennon’s story. Kennedy Fox gave us such a unique story, one that grew from two people hating each other to those same two people facing a tragedy of epic proportions and eventually falling in love. Watching Lennon and Hunter’s slow burn romance blossom was complicated yet beautiful. They are hands down my favorite couple that Kennedy Fox has written! This book has everything...joy, sadness, friendship, family and most importantly, love. Kudos to this duo for such an amazing book! I cannot wait for the next book in the series!

Here we are with part two of Lennon and Hunter’s story and boy, it’s good!

This book was the perfect continuation to their story, a book that hands you all types of feels and has you loving both character that little bit more.

Hunter still wants what he’s always wanted, Lennon. He wants to be the kind of guy she deserves and he’ll do anything he can to be that man. Lennon is still holding back and once she overcomes what she’s feeling she begins to realise she chooses her own future and who’s in it.

Watching these two through this book has been fun. I loved them and their story. Kennedy Fox did an absolutely fab job bring her characters to life and giving them the perfect kind of story. I can’t wait to read more from these amazing ladies.

Baby Yours was a fun, captivating read that gives you all the feels. It’s so damn good.

Kennedy Fox really knows how to keep their readers engaged, invested in their characters and keeping the story real and relevant. This duet truly showcases the talented duo in their writing and character building.

Baby Yours is the conclusion to Hunter and Lennon's story in the Roommate Duet series. They leave you anxious for the next couple's book all the while leaving you feeling blissful for the HEA of Hunter and Lennon.

These ladies find the perfect balance in this slow burn romance with the angst, heartache, love and steamy moments. And they did it so effortlessly that everything flows naturally.

Something that I absolutely love and that rarely happens is that Hunter and Lennon do not change at all in this book. Usually we see one of the characters do somewhat of change in their mannerisms and/or actions but in this case, both stay the same and things just eventually fall into place, like it always meant to be. These characters are so mature and handle the situations that arise with maturity and talk it through. Yes, emotions sometimes get the best of them, but they handle them like the adults they are and don't cause unnecessary drama (LOVE THIS!).

Hunter won me over in book but in this book he stole my heart. That man is selfless in so many different ways. His devotion not only to Lennon and Allison, but to his best friend's memory just melted my heart. And Lennon - I can't imagine being in her shoes. She goes through a lot emotions and turmoil, but she needs that time to grieve, come to grips with moving forward and finally opening her opening herself up again.

I loved this story so much. It was heartfelt, raw and emotional. I wouldn't change one thing in this book. The characters are amazing, the story beautiful and Kennedy Fox has set up the next couple perfectly. I cannot wait for next the duets in this series.

🌼review can also be found on my blog! 🌼

Baby Yours picks up immediately after the first book, where Hunter and Lennon are visiting her conservative parents, faking a marriage to cover her pregnancy out of wedlock. There’s a strain on their relationship after the realisation that Hunter’s ex-girlfriend, who he slept with just before Brandon passed, is pregnant too. Hunter and Lennon are now forced to acknowledge their feelings for each other in Brandon’s absence while faking a marriage for the world.

I hate writing negative reviews, but there was very little I enjoyed about this book. The first was something minor that happened with their relationship, which I haven’t seen in many romance books prior to this. For the years Lennon was dating his best friend, Hunter was rude and dismissive of her. This was to cover his feelings for her so she wouldn’t suspect her boyfriend’s best friend was in love with her. However, I’ve always thought this was a stupid excuse to treat someone like dirt. And so does Lennon. When Hunter finally confronts her about his feelings, she questions how he could’ve treated her like he did in that time if he truly loved her. She also doesn’t immediately understand and forgive him for the years of mistreatment. It’s such an insignificant thing to be excited about, but it’s a plot point I haven’t seen much of in the past. Which is incredibly disappointing. In addition, I loved Hunter and Lennon’s angsty relationship in the beginning. I’m not fake dating’s biggest fan, but I did appreciate the unrequited love on Hunter’s behalf. I’m also a fan of the pregnancy trope and adored how caring Hunter was towards Lennon throughout this time. I loved watching him bond with her daughter and treat her as his own. Furthermore, I liked the discussion surrounding male infertility, though I felt it was predictable that it was resolved in the end. It’s rare for authors to include male heartbreak from infertility and I applaud Kennedy Fox for this. Hunter was also allowed to be emotional throughout the book, with Lennon mentioning multiple times that he shed tears. Again, this seems like an insignificant thing to mention, but it’s rare in a romance book for the authors to allow a male character to be emotional. Let alone a character they’ve written to be a manly, possessive, player.

I appreciated the discussion about real-life issues such as domestic violence, though I’m not a fan of how it was only used to create more drama for the next book. It’s a serious issue and I appreciate how authentic it felt, especially when the female character created excuses for her boyfriend whenever someone displayed caution. I hope this is further explored in the next books and the character who experienced it enters a journey of healing that is respectfully developed.

However, the remainder of the novel didn’t impress me as much. I felt like the writing was incredibly disjointed and awkward. There’s excessive dialogue that doesn’t feel organic in the slightest. Sometimes they’d speak to each other with essay-length paragraphs and it was difficult for me to imagine an actual human being articulating any of it. Not to mention, there were quite a few spelling errors interspersed throughout. I have no issue with this author and appreciated the first book in this duet, but I definitely think this could’ve used a lot more editing. In addition, the wording throughout the sex scenes was repetitive and uncomfortable. I don’t normally notice the vocabulary authors use during steamy scenes because I pretend they aren’t part of the writing at all, but there were too many “swollen buds” for me to brush it off.

Moreover, I felt like the plot could’ve used more development, especially at the beginning. The first third of the book is spent at her parent’s house and develops a narrative about the church and how judgemental they are of the new couple. However, it’s completely irrelevant for the rest of the book. Characters were introduced to seem significant at the time, then are never mentioned or included again. The inclusion of Jenna’s subplot with the pregnancy and paternity test was only to add a cliffhanger at the end of the first book. It definitely built anticipation for this sequel, but it was absolutely pointless by the end. After Hunter’s paternity test comes back negative, she’s completely brushed to the side and there’s no further development for her story.

Baby Yours is a disappointing sequel to the first book, though it still contains all the angst and steam we know and love. The characters are fleshed out and the romance is delectable, but its main downfall is the plot.

"We’re two beutifully broken people who uses the other as glue to hold it all together. There is no me without her and vice versa. What we have will last a lifetime."

Dear Kennedy Fox, can I have my heart back? Because it got lost somewhere between the pages of this book. Where Baby Mine undeniably drained me emotionally, Baby Yours filled my heart with hope and love. Hunter and Lennon’s story is not easy, this couple has faced many obstacles, but what connects them can’t be hidden in the box.

The loss of Brandon continues to weigh on Lennon and Hunter and new circumstances make their situation complicated. However, Hunter set a goal to help Lennon at all costs, even if his help would only be friendly. But chemistry hanging in the air, time spent together and sexual tension makes it hard to ignore the growing feelings. But can Hunter convince Lennon that his feelings are not temporary? And will Lennon be able to devote herself to the new relantionship entirely after everything that happened to her?

I'm so hopelessly in love with Hunter! Where in the first part of the duet he was awful and mean, in Baby Yours he’s a perfect boyfriend material. He’s so patient, understanding and supportive! His love for Lennon is so obvious that he might as well walk with 'I love Lennon' written on his forehead. His struggle with keeping his feelings at bay was breaking my heart! But when he could freely show his adoration I become a puddle of feelings. I was swooning and sighing with the hearts in my eyes!

I can totally understand Lennon's inner struggle. The girl believes that giving her love to another man would be a infidelity towards Brandon. Besides, Hunter's past behavior also left her uncertain about his feelings for her. But time has shown that no one is able to love her and her baby more than Hunter and what was before was just his Hunter's shield from the heartbreak. And now's the time to fully absorb what he offers.

Kennedy Fox created a beautiful story that gives hope that even after the most devastating events we can find happiness. Roommate Duet made me cry, laugh and swoon. Hunter and Lennon filled my heart with all possible feelings and I highly recommend reading their story!

Twisted ⭐️

I’m a mess after these two books. All that angst, drama and weirdness made one convoluted story.
I’ll try to explain:
Hunter works as a barman. Lennon asks for a drink. They flirt a bit. Tons of chemistry and interest on both parts.
Lennon goes dancing and meets Brandon, Hunter’s best friend and roommate. Lennon and Brandon go home together. They fall in love. They move together. Oh, yes. Hunter! Hunter tries to keeps his feelings deep under by being a total jerk towards Lennon and making her life as miserable as possible. 🙄
Brandon dies. Lennon finds out she’s pregnant. Hunter is there for moral support, but they fall in love too. The chemistry is still there, but Lennon says she still loves Brandon and always will. Hunter feels guilty for breaking the “bro-code”. 🙄

So, you see, there’s too much eye roll here. Don’t get me wrong, it was hard to stop reading, as I got invested in the story and its characters, but it was so faaaaar from being a pink fairy tale, it wasn’t even funny. I got really tired of all that drama and the slow-burn romance is a Mariana Zapata trademark. It’s difficult, painful, sometimes funny, a tiny bit hot, complicated.
I would rate it 3,5⭐️.

Finally my heart can rest easy knowing Hunter and Lennon have finally found a happily ever after within each other. I literally picked up Forever Mine yesterday and I've been hooked to the Roommates duet series by Kennedy Fox since then! I read this duet in one day! That's how addicting this duos writing is! So many emotions, so much drama, all the feels! I couldn't get enough!

I loved how Hunter and Lennon's feelings grew for one another throughout the timespan of this novel. My heart was happy to, not only, see Lennon finally laugh and let herself feel love again but it was also happy to see Hunter finally get his happily ever after. He's such a swoon worthy man, you can't help but not fall for this man! he's the epitome of what a book boyfriend means.

I actually loved Lennon throughout this second novel more than I loved her throughout the first. I loved watching her slowly get through the tragedy of losing the love of her life and slowly gain her spark back. My heart broke time and time again for this woman and the heartbreak life threw in her path. I legit cried so hard for her. So given the cliffhanger from the first book I couldn't help but think, WTF is Kennedy Fox going to put this woman through now. I'm not even kidding, there were tears of all kinds running down my face from completely ugly crocodile tears to happy giggly tears. I'm in need of a bottle of jack and another box of tissues.

This was such a great duet! But that Epilogue.... HOLY HELL! I cannot get over that epilogue and my sudden need for Sophia and Mason's story!! So many answers I need to all the questions floating around in my head! Kennedy Fox knows how to keep their reader's intrigued, that's for damn sure!

3 STARS!

Pics-Art-02-05-03-53-14

Kennedy Fox once again delivers the drama mixed with those necessary sweet and sexy moments. Baby Yours is the highly anticipated conclusion to Baby Mine that will leave you in a perpetual state of shock!

A strong friendship bond with some heavy denial is the theme of this novel. Lennon seemed to constantly deny her feelings, doubt Hunter, and question his motives which slowed the progression of their relationship down. But, you'll fall in love with Hunter's patience, charm, and sweet side as you watch him and Lennon fall into a non-relationship type relationship. When these two were together, they were simply hot! The steam Hunter and Lennon emitted was constantly seeping through the pages!

Overall, it was a good ending to a couple who set up the story for our next couple, which by the way OMFG! I did not see that coming! #dramaalert

Baby Yours by Kennedy Fox is the perfect conclusion to this emotionally captivating duet that has managed to wholeheartedly captivate my every thought and emotion! This dynamic duo never ceases to amaze with their storytelling ability and they always manage to have me on the edge of my seat as I inhale their beautiful words of art!

After that shocking ending in Baby Mine I wasn't sure what was in store for Hunter and Lennon, but all I knew was that these two deserved a happily ever after and I was rooting for them since the very beginning! My heart broke because of the tragedy these two had to endure, but beyond the heartbreak there was an opportunity for them to experience happiness...if only they were willing to BOTH take a leap of faith! This story held a lot more twist and turns than in the first book, but each new obstacle helped to shape their journey. It was like a rollercoaster ride of emotions and I loved every second of it!

Readers are going to fall even more head over heels in love with Hunter and Lennon! Also don't forget that even though their story is complete doesn't mean we won't be seeing more of them in Mason and Sophie's duet (Truly Mine and Truly Yours). One can only hope at least!

What an awesome conclusion to Hunter and Lennon's story! I couldn't put it down! Their trip to Utah to visit Lennon's parents was the sweetest. Hunter is such a good, stand up guy that you can't help but fall in love with him. Man, talk about a hard fought happily ever after but so worth it.

Cannot wait for the next duet, Sophie and Mason's story! I have a feeling it will be crazy good.

It is always sad and exciting when you are done with the last chapter of a Kennedy Fox book. This book was a hit for me . With these books you get a whole experience and you really get to know the characters and you feel and can sympathize also. From book 1 you got that feeling for Hunter and I was rooting for him all the way! In book 2 you really see both characters develop and grow. First you see the show that is put on when they pretend to be together for her parents then having to see the struggles that these two have to deal with since Brandon passed away since it has both of them feeling things that have given them guilt. Seeing Lennon as a Mom is beautiful and rewarding. She definitely grew a lot . I can’t tell you enough how you just want to grab Hunter and never let him go he is just such a wonderful book boyfriend! I am always happy to see the realness between the characters that makes them relatable and trust when I say you will ride that emotional rollercoaster with them. I will tell you that by the end of the ride you will have that HEA and you will be jumping up for joy! A real page turner, angsts, emotional, loving and sweet read. I can’t wait for the next couple because that Epilogue is fire!!

You know a book is good when you normally intro your reviews with a quote to set the tone. Yeah. No quote this time. Why, you ask? Well, that’s what happens when go into a book not knowing what to expect but still finish it in less then 24 hours.

Baby Yours by Kennedy Freaking Fox. My heart didn’t stop pounding, my feels didn’t stop sighing, crying, or smiling, and my heart couldn’t have loved this book more if it tried.

This duet was the perfect slow burn enemies to friends to lovers that I’ve ever read. EVER. READ. It’s not easy to pull off what Kennedy Fox accomplished in these two books. And Hunter and Lennon are easily, hands down my favorite KF couple.

All the feels and juiciness. I promise y’all there was even a point where I couldn’t hear anything but my heavy breathing in the entire house while I was reading because my heart was hurting so much to the point of my chest tightening. SO. GOOD.

AND THAT ENDING! The hook into the next couples duet did exactly that. HOOK ME! I am so ready. No one does duets like Kennedy Fox!

"We’re two beautifully broken people who uses the other as glue to hold it all together. There is no me without her and vice versa. What we have will last a lifetime."

Utter PERFECTION. Angst, Slow burn, Enemies to Lovers and an absolute perfect reading experience that I'm struggling to find the right words to describe.

Kennedy Fox has absolutely delivered the goods with this beautiful duet! Baby Yours picks up right where Baby Mine ends, Hunter and Lennon shocked by Jenna's confession make there way to Lennon's home town to meet her parents as newlyweds with a baby on the way.

I was absolutely blown away by the writing within this duet, Baby Mine was my first Kennedy Fox experience and I don't know why I've waited so long to read there books! Its like someone gave Kennedy Fox the pathway to my heart and soul and they wrote every word that I needed.

I crave angst like nobody, I love a book that sucks me so that I mimic every emotion and action from each character and that's exactly what Hunter and Lennon's story did for me. I smirked when hunter smirked, blushed when Lennon blushed and my heart hurt when they couldn't work out how to find there Happily Ever After.

Hunter and Lennon were two of my absolute favourite characters I've come across. The evolution of both these characters over the duet is phenomenal.

Something else I thought was truly special within Baby Yours Pages was actually the Note from the Author. Reading this and seeing how this beautiful duet with the tragic beginning came about had tears rolling down my cheeks. It was so incredibly brave for them to write about Branden's accident and the funeral after what occurred in there personal lives and I absolutely commend Brooke and Lyra for this.

The Roommates Duet are my favourite reads of 2019 and I'm certain they'll stay at the top of that list for the remainder of the year. The emotions that these incredible ladies evoked in me while reading will never be forgotten.

I've 1clicked Kennedy Fox' entire back catalog of books and am going to make June a Kennedy Fox month so I can read every word they've written. Hopefully this will keep me tied over until we get Mason and Sophie's story! If you read the epilogue of Baby Yours you'll know why EVERYONE is desperate for Truly Mine coming in July!

After absolutely loving the first book of this duet, I had high expectations going into this. I enjoyed it, but this wasn’t what I pictured based on Baby Mine (and previous duets from this duo). I’m giving it 3.5 out of 5 stars. This review is for an ARC, and reflects my honest opinion.

First off, let me just say that I adored Hunter yet again. He was such a kind, considerate sweetheart with a bit of a dirty/alpha male side. He was already on my book boyfriend list, and he will be staying there. As for Lennon, I liked her sometimes, and then other times she annoyed me. Without going into a lot of detail, some of the things she did/said in regards to Hunter were not okay in my opinion. I get that she was still grieving over Brandon, but she didn’t have to treat him that way.

I wanted more of the side characters I fell in love with previously: Maddie, Sophie, Liam, Mason, Hayden, etc. We saw them here and there, but mostly they were MIA. I recognize that the focus should be on Hunter and Lennon since it’s their duet, but I thought some things (example: some scenes in Utah) could have been cut to make room for this group appearing a little more. In general, I felt like some scenes could have been shortened and still been okay.

There were a lot of ups and downs in the plot, and while I enjoyed it, I didn’t get super emotional like I did with book one. But to be fair, that could be because we needed a happier ending to a romance book after having our hearts ripped out and stomped on haha. One final thing: I appreciated the slow build up, but I was expecting the actual romance/relationship to start earlier, to be less instalove, and more of a gradual progression.

Overall I liked this one (still swooning so hard over the Hunter parts), but it wasn’t my favorite from Kennedy Fox. However I CANNOT wait for the next duet after this epilogue’s ending. I’m on the edge of my seat over here while I wait to see what happens next. Also the notes at the end from both authors were so heartbreaking and inspiring; thank you for writing this story ladies!

I couldn’t wait to read “Baby Yours” to find out what could possibly happen next to Hunter and Lennon. When we last saw them, they were just leaving for the airport when they had an unexpected visitor with big news for Hunter. Their visit with Lennon’s parents was a success and they did a great job convincing everyone that they were happily married. Snuggling in bed at night and kissing her gently in the morning meant everything to Hunter and he wished this was really his life. The deception of their fake marriage brought them closer together and showed them what life could be like if they told each other how they really felt.

Hunter loved Lennon from the moment they met and he was happy to pose as her husband because he would do anything for her. It took a long time for Lennon to realize that she was in love with Hunter, and she couldn’t deny her feelings anymore. She would always love Brandon but Hunter was her future and their friendship gave her the strength to go on and she was thankful that Hunter stood by her side and never gave up.

Will Hunter and Lennon become a family after the baby arrives or will his secrets tear them apart?

How will Hunter deal with a past indiscretion that has appeared back in his life?

*You must read Baby Mine before reading Baby Yours.*

Ahhh... finally the continuation of Hunter and Lennon’s story!!! We were left on the edge of our seats at the end of Baby Mine and Jenna might be one of my most hated characters in a book #justsayin. There were just so many feels in this book. At one point I just cried for Hunter. He was the ultimate hero...he loved big and tried his best to do what was best for Lennon and the baby, but he was hurting too. When she realizes how he felt all this time...that was heartbreaking in itself - for both of them. I loved getting to see her sisters and his friends (since they’ll get their own books). I think my favorite was them spending time with her family in Utah. Even though it was under the disguise of them being married, it was the sweetest!! I’m so glad they got their happy ending :)
After reading the epilogue, I can’t wait to get Sophie and Mason’s story!!!

Baby Yours continues to pull at your heart strings with Hunter and Lennon's emotional story. The second part of this duet picks up where Baby Mine left off. This is a book where you need to read both parts and trust me, you want to read them both. This complete story is so very touching and will leave an impact long after you finish the last page.

Baby Yours begins with Hunter and Lennon on their way to see her very conservative parents who still hold traditional values on relationships. The fact that Lennon is pregnant is of great concern to her, but Hunter without revealing his true feelings, steps up and proposes being her fake husband to save face.

Their time spent in Utah, posing as a fake couple is both wonderful and torture. For the first time since Hunter saw Lennon he is able to display his true feelings for the woman who has captivated his soul, but also knowing he will never be able to truly tell her that it is how he really feels. Once they return to California, things return to "normal", but pandora's box has been opened and feelings are hard to put back inside. Time heals all wounds, but can it heal a new relationship with old feelings?

Time and time again Hunter slays me with how much he is not only willing to sacrifice for Lennon, by loving her so fiercely, even if it is unrequited. He is an amazing man and you see it shine in his dedication to his small circle of what I would call his newly made family (friends, their family, etc..) - When Hunter loves someone he loves someone with everything he has and there is no hesitation that he is all in. Hunter's heart is so big, I could jump in and get really comfy. He is a character I won't soon forget.

Lennon is torn, as anyone in her situation would be, between still grieving for her lost love - Brandon, feeling joy for the new life growing within her, and struggling with the developing feelings she feels towards Hunter. I love that Kennedy Fox let both Lennon and Hunter grow through the grieving process and didn't just automatically throw them together at the end of book 1 or even at the beginning of book 2, but allowed them to continue exploring their feelings and emotions throughout their process.

This duet was so well done on so many levels. Yes, it was emotional, heartfelt, and contained all the feels, but Baby Yours is extremely well written that you will enjoy the journey. Just make sure you have some tissues handy while you are reading.

4.5 stars (4 stars for part 2) *This review is for the duet as a whole*

Duets always intimidate me a little but I flew through this one and definitely didn't get bored. The storyline was definitely strong enough to carry both books, and the slow burn between Lennon and Hunter helped with keeping up the anticipation.

Part 1 of this duet is a 5 stars for me for sure. I loved how they went from enemies to leaning on each other following Brandon's death, and it was so sweet how Hunter stepped up with Lennon's pregnancy while also trying to hide how he felt for her.

Part 2 is probably a 4 star read for me. The fake marriage storyline was SO good and I loved the tension between them while that was going on, but I could have done without the OW stuff. It felt a little unnecessary and there was already enough going on with the plot that it just wasn't really needed.

The conflict (or absence of it) could also have been a little better. It was obvious from the first book what the conflict would be but it was pretty underwhelming when it finally did happen and was resolved literally a page later.

Overall I really, really enjoyed this and I'm mad at myself for putting it off for so long just because it was a duet. The pacing was really great and I enjoyed the plot and the romance a lot. If you're a fan of unrequited love/enemies to lovers/surprise pregnancy tropes I think you would like this one!
