Yes, but I found the Bunn brand filters to be just a little taller. Standard filters may have some overflow due to the fast brew process with this unit.

No, you MUST USE BUNN FILTERS period. The Bunn filters are taller than the standard size. There is a nozzle that sprays pre-heated water through the coffee basket. If you use another brand or standard size coffee filters:
1. You will have coffee grinds in your coffee
2. You will have a mess in the basket, with coffee grinds on the inside behind the filter.
Bottom Line: USE "BUNN" Filters only. They are available at Walmart for about $2.00 for 100 filters.

They recommend only using Bunn filters. They are taller than regular filters. The reason for this is the volume of water coming out from the sprayers is greater than a typical drip coffee pot. Using a lower (regular) filter could cause overflow of grinds. Do not order "commercial" filters for the BTX even though it is labeled a "commercial style". They are much too large. Make sure what you get is for a 10 cup brewer.

No you'll need the Bunn home coffee pot filters. They are taller than standard filters and will not overflow grounds into your coffee.

No, you need the commercial size basket filters from Bunn which are taller than regular basket filters. If you don't use them the coffee grinds will get into your coffee. The good news is that they are really cheap. 1000 for $10.00 from Walmart

Absolutely. The manual has recommendations of amounts of coffee and water to make partial pots. Be assured a bit of trial and error may have to take place to get the perfect cup.

You can make however much you desire. I make 8 cups at a time, personally.

You can make less coffee by adjusting the amount of water and coffee you use.

Yes,even though there is water in the machine at all times, the amount you add when making coffee is the amount it will make. So if you add 4 cups of water it will only make 4 cups.

The coffee heater tank water is fully heated and only dispenses the amount that is poured in the second fill. If you pour in a Karafe Full, You get a Karafe full back. If you pour in half a karafe, you will get half a karafe back.

It depends on whether you pre-heat the thermal carafe with hot water or not. You only need to leave the hot water in for 30-60 seconds before emptying and using the carafe for the coffee.

According to the manual page 9, coffee is fresh for 2 hours in a carafe, 30 minutes in a glass decanter. I can tell you from my experience with the BTX, the coffee stays hot for hours (4+) in the carafe with the lid on.

If you preheat your thermal carafe with hot tap water while you prepare your filter and grinds it will stay relatively hot for 2 hours. If not preheated, you have a good 30 minutes. Not having a warmer also means you won't get burnt coffee.

Coffee stays steaming hot for 4-5 hours. I've poured a cup 7-8 hours later and coffee was still warm.

It stays hot for about 90 minutes. Then it starts to cool off a bit. At 2 hours it is not really hot any more.

We have had the coffee stay hot 4-6 hours. You must close the lid to the Karafe. It will not taste burnt after that long either unlike Coffee makers with electric heating plates.

I must say this is a very good coffee maker. It is the second one that I've had. I have never had a problem with it. I'm sure it will be as good as the last one which lasted almost 7 years with no problems. It's nice that it has no burner and it is not a glass carafe. Perfect for anyone with small children around because less chance of getting hurt. I would recommend this investment to anyone. It's in my opinion the best Bunn coffee maker that there is.
