“Cross one, cross all.”

That’s the Brayshaw way.

She should have realized this before sliding into our world with secrets too big to bury.
She didn’t and now the target is on her back.

The day her lies came crashing down, I should have forced her out.
Instead, I locked her in, and with the promise I would never be hers.

I resisted, fought against us.
I caved.

I tasted what became my newfound favorite flavor and fell hard for the little liar.

But then the depth of her treachery reveals itself, and with it a reminder.

Our town is a twisted place, and with truth comes trouble.

In the blink of an eye, my world is split at its core, and I’m faced with an impossible decision, one that leads to a single outcome...

Betrayal.--
This is Captain Brayshaws book and the fourth book in the Brayshaw series.

I finished Be My Brayshaw a couple of days ago and I'm still trying to find the right words to write this review. No kidding, truthfully I'd like to forget this book ever existed. This series is not for everyone. I know it has flaws: the characters are over the top and trying too hard to be badass, the storyline is sometimes ridicious and has plotholes, the diagules can be cringy. I'm aware of all of that and I still liked the triology with Raven and Maddoc, but this one? YIKES.

By the way, Be My Brayshaw is suppose to work as a standalone, but in my humble opinion IT'S DEF NOT A STANDALONE. There are so many characters that don't get a proper indroduction, plotlines that happened in the previous books get mentioned sometimes. You're going to be confused. I have read the other books and was still confused what was going on.

UNPOPULAR OPINION:

This is not going to be one of my rant reviews cause I really tried to purge most of this book from my mind so I don't remember all the details and I'm not touching this book ever again to relieve everything. It's giving me PTSD. So excuse me if this review is messy, I'm trying to write everything down that I remember.

PART 1: SPOILER FREE

The way Captain (H) treated and disrespected Victoria (h) throughout the book was just mindblowing. Captain was introduced, in previous books, as the most logical one out of all the three Brayshaw boys, but his mind didn't make any sense. I tried to understand all of his reasoning but I couldn't. He was trying to justifying his mistreatment of Victoria by her betrayel and her lies but throughout the book he betrayed her worse. So that makes him the biggest hypocrite of them all.

He was saying things like "Fair is an opinion, and yours is as worthless as your word." DUDE SHUT THE FUCK UP AND SIT DOWN. Wanted to waterboard this guy so badly.

I love Victora, I wouldn't call her a strong heroine like Raven cause when it came to Captain she was such a doormat. Despite her doormat-y behavior, I felt so sorry for her and what she has been through in the past. I just wished she would have leave Captain's sorry ass cause girl deserves so much better. Victoria sick sense of loyalty was beyond me. She wanted to prove so badly that she belongs with the Brayshaws that she let Captain walk all over her.

The only redeeming quality that Captain has is that he's a very protective dad to Zoey. I really wanted to round this up to 2 stars for all the cute Zoey/Victoria Zoey/Royce or Zoey/Maddoc scenes, but thanks to her dad by the end of this book I felt so much rage that I can't. But for all it counts the extra 0.5 star is for the shining light that is Zoey.

PART 2: SPOILERY TALK

– Chapter 1: Captain finds out that Victoria knows about Zoey long before him and never told any of the Brayshaw boys. Captain didn't know he had a daughter until she was born and the first 2 years of her life she was kind of hidden from him and didn't live with him. Therefore he sees this as the biggest betrayal in the history of betrayals which makes perfectly sense because Victoria owns him all her loyalty even though she didn't really know him at the time of Zoey's birth. Do you hear the sarcasm in my voice? Captain goes on to tell Victoria how he would like to fuck her and do all kind of things to her from behind while pretending she would be another blonde (Mallory (OW) and Zoey's mother). GUYS ROMANCE IS NOT DEAD.

– Victoria lives with Captain and the rest of them, but Cap tells Victoria that she shouldn't look their way (especially not Zoey). He tells her that she should either leave the house really early before they wake up or stay in her room while they are in the house so they don't cross path. Basically everyone is supposed to ignore Victoria which hurts even more because Victoria was ignored all her life. When she was a kid she was taken and locked in a room with almost no contact to people. So Captain's behaviour towards her was actually cruel and I hated it.

– THE OW DRAMA IN THIS BOOK. Mallory disappeared after Zoey's birth and did not take part in any way of raising Zoey and of course after years she wants to see Zoey and talk to her. Captain is maybe angry at her for one minute and then wants to give her a chance, because after all she was the first girl he loved and Zoey needs a mother. It's not like Victoria wasn't there for Zoey the first 2,5 years of her life but just saying. We actually see more Captain/Mallory kisses than Captain/Victoria kisses cause Captain refuse to kiss Victoria for the majority of the book because he still so mad of the "betrayal".

– CHAPTER 35. SERIOUSLY DISGUSTING. I need bleach for my eyes. By the end of the book Mallory and another dude kidnapp Victoria and lock her into a room. This dude has a thing for Victoria, Victoria has a thing for Captain and for some weird twist Mallory has also a thing for Victoria and was jealous of Captain the whole time cause he got all of Victoria's attention. That guy (sorry I forgot his name) and Mallory try to prove a point that Captain only wants Mallory. They invite Captain over where he makes out with Mallory (let me find a bucket to vomit into…). Mallory and Captain 'stumble' into the room where Victoria is locked in. Captain is shocked (pls die) and they start this very weird threesome. Mallory is touching Victoria downtown and bascially violating her. Mallory wants Captain and Victoria to fuck to have closure (WTF???!!!). So they all start to make out with each other, Mallory kisses Victoria and then Captain kisses Mallory because she has Victoria's taste on her (again what the hell did i just read????). Mallory acts like some kind of commentary and spews BS like "Let her feel", "She likes that" "Give her what she needs, Captain" and "She's ready for you". Captain decides to not fuck Victoria for the first time while Mallory watch …. Wow does he expect me to clap or what? Dude, you're doing the bare minimum, so don't expect me to praise you. THAT WHOLE CHAPTER MAKES ME SICK.

I'm pretty sure there was more scenes were Captain was treating Victoria awful but just thinking about Chapter 35 makes me nauseous, so I'm leaving it like this. Safe the best for last

Just going to pretend this book was never written.
“Ice cream!” she shouts and runs away, but not before pausing and running back to rub her nose across mine. “Eskimo kisses!” I force the tears in my eyes to stay right where they are. “And butterfly hugs.” She laughs and runs away. “So much, Rora!” So much, ZoZo.

Oh. My. WOW!!! I’m so shook ... so speechless ... so slayed ... so love struck. Meagan Brandy’s BE MY BRAYSHAW was everything I wanted and more. Pure passion, power, and perfection. I was so possessed by Be My Brayshaw! This beautifully broken book of loyalty and love took my breath, heart, soul, and tears with characters that nearly brought me to my knees.

A master storyteller, Meagan Brandy proves she’s a force to be reckoned with in the YA romance genre with the formidable and feel-worthy Brayshaw High series, delighting romance readers with strong and heart-stopping characters in a masterfully-crafted world of perception and power ruled by Brayshaw kings and their queens. This saga has quickly become my world. An unputdownable and unforgettable series of meaning and magnitude. A force that continues to slay.

”Don’t forget, our bite? It’s much worse than our bark.”

Be My Brayshaw is a fierce fairytale with a rebel queen and the ultimate king, the wave and anchor, soulmates created for each other who slay demons and darkness to become one. A sweep-you-in-the-feels story about sacrifice, selflessness, the strength of the human spirit, family loyalty, and everlasting love. I fell head-over-heels in love with Victoria and her Captain, the Beauty and the Beast, whose emotional journey of heartbreak and healing quickly became mine too.

”Hate me today, but be careful. You might just love me tomorrow.”

The Brayshaw world of delicious drama, shocking secrets, and fierce feels touched me everywhere. The rawness ... the angst ... the passion ... the power ... My emotions bled for this book! I LOVED EVERYTHING about Be My Brayshaw that ruled every part of me—a stunning, soul-slaying story that screams selfishness and sacrifice.

Please.
Whoever listens to the desperate whispers of a lonely girl in the dark ...
Please.
Let him be my Brayshaw.

Be My Brayshaw will strip you bare and make you bleed every emotion. I felt this story along with Victoria and the Captain. I FELT every heartbreak, every shred of hope, every ounce of happiness, and every bit of bleeding angst from these real-to-me characters ... I felt so much. This tale takes hearts and slays souls. My heart and soul were stolen by every bit of Be My Brayshaw. I was such a goner for the Captain’s story that’s worth all the stars ... EVERYTHING!

Family runs deeper than blood.

MY REVIEW AND OTHERS: can also be found on my blog:
➽ KITTY KATS CRAZY ABOUT BOOKS
2ir3yw5 'BE MY BRAYSHAW' is the fourth full length romance book in Meagan brandy's 'Brayshaw' series. It picks up where ➤ Reign of Brayshaw the third book left off. Spoken in 'Dual Perspectives.'

This book right here was one I was highly anticipating #TeamCaptain and it didn't disappoint, this series is one of my all time favourites and I feel like it's just getting better book by book. Victoria and captain’s story was definitely worth the wait.

This book pulled out all the stops and will make it a hard one to top. Suspenseful, Secretive, Steamy, Spectacular.

97701218-2619437811639360-6975608332786597888-o

Victoria had such a hard upbringing which made her grow up with a back bone, under lock and key only the four walls surrounding her kept her company, her thoughts were her own. Barely interacting with anyone day by day. Until she was used as a pawn, where she hid in the shadows gathering intel about the Brayshaw family, and then dropped into the Bray House. This is where she befriends Raven.

The push and pull between our hero and heroine was heart wrenching, the girl who held all the secrets but along with that she was also the girl that protected those she cared about. The sacrifices she made just cemented her in my heart that wee bit more, she was tough, sassy, fiercely loyal, never once backing down when her back was to the wall. I loved everything about her.

99274637-2629186537331154-5363630630410125312-o

Oh Captain, this big gentle giant was full of surprises, out of the three guys he's the one they look up to, strong, guarded, quiet and logical, he might be all tough on the outside and all up in your grill but delve deeper and he was a bit of a marshmallow when it came to his wee girl Zoey. All those mushy feels came at me full speed. Towards the end he did a few questionable things which got the raised eye brow twitch but in the end he kind of worked his way back into my good graces.

These two were just prefect for each other, she challenged him on so many levels, and he gave her that stability in her life she needed and craved.

This was Captain and Victoria’s book, and the fourth in the Brayshaw series. While I enjoyed it very much, it wasn’t my favourite out of the bunch. The main reason for my slight disappointment was Captain’s actions at some points in the story. I definitely understand why he did certain things but they still majorly pissed me off!!

The fact is when it comes to this series, I am fully absorbed into everything that’s going on. It’s like I am feeling right alongside the characters and what they are feeling! I love stories like that! This whole series has been that way for me!

If your weakness is high school angst and a new adult vibe, then you really should check out this series! You will fall in love with the Brayshaw family just like I did!!! Next up is Royce’s book and I can’t wait for it to come!!!!

5 SLEEPING BEAUTY CROWNS

Being back in the Brayshaw world is like coming home all over again!

I am such a huge fan of the Brayshaw world and the characters within it. Meagan Brandy is truly able to deliver a new story that not only stays true to the iconic world she has created but also delivers another must read romance that allows Cap and Victoria to have their own unique voice and romance within the Brayshaw world.

Victoria has so many layers to who she is. I really enjoyed seeing them all peeled back with each page. Her love for Zoey rang as genuine and true, and never once is she a pushover. She knows what she wants and won’t stop until it is hers. There are parts of her I didn’t expect. Parts of her history that shocked me. And I would dare say that while she is very different than Raven, I loved her just as much. She still embodies that take no BS we love to see in a Brandy heroine.

Captain, my silent, observant, intelligent man. I love him. I wanted to strangle him, but I also fell madly in love with him. The man has a plethora of thorny vines around his heart to protect himself, and it is one of the many reasons I was able to forgive him when I also wanted to smack him. And man, oh, man, I never really expected Cap to have such a deliciously dirty side, but I was here for every moment of it. Between the bedroom, his tortured heart, and seeing him as a daddy to Zoey...put a fork in me. I’m done. Captain has my heart.

For lovers of the series, you get plenty of Maddoc and Raven (my heart filled with such happiness to see them revel in their HEA) and numerous moments of shenanigans with Royce (I’m still dying for his book and love him to death). There are even some other side characters who surprised me and made me change my mind about them or made me like them even more.

One who I loved, and it didn’t come as a surprise, is Zoey, she is such a charming little girl, and seeing how she changes the Brayshaw world in the BEST WAY warms my heart even thinking about it now.

This story, as all Meagan’s stories do, are filled with bombs, plot twists that are unexpected and throw you for a loop. Be My Brayshaw has secrets from page one, allowing me once again to be consumed by the Brayshaw world. It is a world that captivates me, and makes me long to never leave. The ideals the boys live by, the family they created, the love they show emanates from the page. And the ending, action packed, insane and utterly romantic, too.

The Brayshaw world continues to be a must read for me. I don’t know that I’ll ever be ready to let them go. It saddens me to think we only have one more book left with this crew I’ve grown to love, but this series will, without a doubt, go down as one of my favorites EVER, one I’ll continue to revisit time and time again.

It was kinda sad, emotional with a bit of suspense and sunshine and roses at the same time. Maddoc, Royce and Raven were so happy in this book, all the characters were expect Vic and Cap since the tension is between them. i loved Victoria’s character so much, she is so strong and she didnt fight with Captain rather Fought for him. Their story is a freaking masterpiece. I didnt know Victoria’s character was gonna be so intense, she protects the boys and the people she loves 😭😭. Her relationship with the guys was so special, and how they accepted her especially Royce. I thought he wouldnt want any other members in their group but he is the one who supported Victoria the most.

I hated Captain towards the end cuz he did some stupid stuff but then i could not keep hating him cuz he is such a sweetheart. Victoria is perfect for him, she gets on his nerves and doesnt back down 😂. Tho she sacrificed so much for him, 😭ugh i cant. I want to re read this book again even tho i just finished it. I cant with for everyone to read it. And did i mention Victoria’s relationship with Zoey?! It was so cute, i wanted to cry. I loved all the characters from this story and their bond, 😭😭😭

However, Tho the ending seemed rushed up, like all the main drama started after 75% and Captain was still a jerk with Victoria till the end. He did some fucked up things and Victoria forgave him too easily. I think we got to see raven and Maddoc’s all sides but in this book we only get to see Captain’s 2 sides which is his fatherly love for Zoey and his jerkiness. At the end it felt like he was with Victoria cuz he felt guilty for all the things she did for him and he was an asshole to her so now he must be with her. I wish this was a duet cuz as much as i loved this book, there is a lot to explain more, especially the ending which as i Said was rushed up. And i feel like what victoria did, she deserves a lot more appreciation from the boys. If i compare Raven’s relationship with Captain then he is wayyy softer with her than Victoria and towards the end he got really harsh with her when all she did was protect him.

Oh my god, whaaat!! We have a book on captain and royce as well?? They absolutely deserve it. I think captain will be with Victoria but whoever it is I hope she will be as strong and fierce as Raven. Now we wait for their book and the last book in the brayahaw series :’)

Update- WOW, I already couldn’t wait to read this book but after reading the epilogue of Victoria from the last book I don’t think I would be able to sleep till I get to read it.

Update- read the book liked it too but the ending was a mess. Also the disappointing part was Captain’s character.

okay. where do i start?

i'm disappointed. so utterly disappointed. and i was extremely excited for cap's book. after i read the first three books in brayshaw about a month and a half ago and knew cap's book was coming, i was counting down the days.

the first thing i want to say is that captain from be my brayshaw isn't the captain i know from the first three books. this captain was extremely and entirely misogynistic and honestly sexist when it came to his scenes with victoria. he quite literally treated victoria like dirt, tossing her aside at his expense and just messing with her emotions and in one scene, her body. i remember a week ago or so, getting the email from meagan's newsletter giving chapter one and reading the part where cap said to victoria he'd imagine a different blonde. at first i thought it was hot and like okay woah they're going to be so powerful together. and then i actually got the book and whatever chapter it was, he finger f*cked her and held onto her hair imagining another blonde, mallory I'm guessing. not fair to victoria.

the entire book it seemed was captain just hating victoria an treating her like an enemy and for what reason? the worst she lied about was knowing zoey before captain and even so, victoria is the reason cap even knew of zoey as she left the hint in his bag. that's where i'm confused why it said in the blurb "her lies." continuously in the novel we find out victoria sacrificed herself and lied to others around her to protect raven and the boys while she didn't even know them. even until the end, victoria still has the heart to lie and say that yes she sent mallory away when zoey was born - and for what? to protect mallory?

another thing, i literally don't care if he said it in anger but when he said "maybe your mother deserved to be murdered," he lost me there. and that was like eight chapters before the end. that was unnecessary and uncalled for because victoria really didn't do anything and when cap went off on her saying she'd never be zoey's mom so stop trying to replace her, that was just pointless because victoria wasn't trying to take that spot. cap was extremely, i have no idea, but he didn't even give victoria a chance until like the final three chapters. tell me why he kept jumping to conclusions and assumptions without ever giving victoria a chance (until the last three chapters when she was in freaking danger!)

the end scene between victoria, mallory, and captain. now what in the fresh f*cking hell was that? that wasn't needed, wasn't necessary and made my stomach turn solely because victoria literally didn't deserve it, yet there she was just accepting her faith.

i also don't understand the hostility between raven and victoria. i love raven, i do and i get that victoria needed to prove herself to the bray's that she belonged, but raven was unbelievably rude. like... victoria's your sister??? and yet still, raven acted like victoria was a total stranger and they weren't friends in the other books, but okay. and in be my brayshaw, maddoc's first time talking to victoria made me want to throw bricks at his face. he was rude and for what?

i probably have so much more to say but honestly can't think of it because the moment i marked the book as finished, i pushed it out of my mind.

FIVE BEAUTY AND BEAST stars for Victoria, Captain and Zoey 💖💜💙🖤!!!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The first three books stole my heart and I fell in love with the "Brayshaw High" series from the first moment I started reading "Boys of Brayshaw High".

It’s been almost over half a year since I read “Reign of Brayshaw” and I’m happy that the Captain's book has finally come because I was missing this special company so much.

I love that this isn't just a book about Victoria and Captain, but Raven, Maddoc and Royce have their place in this story too.

"Be My Brayshaw" is a new adult romance with enemies to lovers and single dad tropes full of angst, lies, betrayal but also a hard path to forgiveness and unconditional love which lives inside of every Brayshaw.

Victoria is a female character who wasn't easy or perfect from the moment she was born. She keeps a lot of secrets to protect the people who she considers as her family.

She is a strong young woman who knows what she wants and she is willing to do anything to get it.

I adore her love for Zoey and her special connection with this little girl.

I love her relentless battle to gain Captain's trust (but also the trust of Brayshaw family) and eventually his heart.

Oh, my Captain.

Captain is who radiates mystery and his intuition never deceives him until a blonde appears in his life and turns it upside down.

His love for his family and especially for his daughter is everything.

He will do anything to protect them no matter the price and consequences.

Victoria and Captain's relationship is complicated.

They fight and they make up.

But, no matter what their spark never goes out, but over time it becomes larger which eventually leads to an explosion.

Their constant fight with each other leads them to care about each other no matter how much they sometimes fight against their feeling and in the end, they find their way in each other’s arms.

Meagan has written another book full of emotions that will nail you to a chair and you will not be able to drop the book until you have read the last sentence.

If you love Meagan's writing style and you also loved the previous books from the "Brayshaw High" series, then this is the book for you!!!

Highly recommended!!!

P.S. Can't wait for Royce's book because he is my favorite of all Brayshaw boys!

Royce is mine 😍❤🔥!!!

2.5 STARS

Three things that you should know about this book:

1) This is definitely NOT a standalone like the author claims. I have not read the three first Brayshaw High books and thus was completely lost pretty much for the entire duration of the book. I was confused, hell, still am confused.

2) The heroine in this was absolutely amazing and all my stars go for her and her alone. I very much appreciate Brandy’s brand of possessive, alpha-ish heroines that are my favorites (and sadly, not that common). Victoria was such a delight to read about, I love her.

3) The hero, Captain, was a huge disappointment. I have no idea what the fuss is about? If anything, I disliked him a lot. He was a coward, a dumbass and an idiot 80% of the time and definitely didn’t deserve Victoria.

I didn’t hate this book; I think I would’ve liked it a lot more had I read all the books in this series prior to this one. There were a lot of stupid things that made me roll my eyes SO MUCH, and no, I don’t get the hype.

I love Captain so much and he is the cutest girl dad! #dilfalert
So happy Cap and Victoria got their hard-earned HEA cause boy was it quite the journey! 🎢🥹🫂🩷

Loved seeing Maddox, Raven, and Royce have such big parts in their story too and reading about the whole gang being under one roof and living all together still was such a treat!

Excited to read Royce’s story next. 😼

New Adult | Angsty Romance

There are countless books on the market and yet, one author always stands out. That’s Meagan Brandy. Her words are like poetry to me. Her stories are gritty, sharp, deeply romantic, and consume me from page one all the way to the end. Her writing style is excellent and being drawn into the lives of her characters is simple because she writes as if her readers are part of the story. This is true for her first written words, and now. I’m not surprised she captured my heart with Victoria, Captain’s and Zoey’s story and I wouldn’t be surprised if the same is true with Royce’s. There’s just something about her novels that speak to me and if I could read and experience them with fresh eyes all over again I would.

Captain’s story is perfect. His romance isn’t something snappy that comes with ease but is carefully placed together as he maneuvers through his feelings learns to trust. Captain is a soulful man and doesn’t give easily because he’s been burned in the past, so getting him to open up and allow himself to let his guard down is especially difficult. He may be strong on the outside but inside he hides his worries and pain because he hadn’t been dealt the best cards. Watching him slowly open himself up was beautiful for me as a reader because I saw his vulnerabilities. There were some moments when I felt frustrated because he couldn’t see what I could when it comes to his girl (Victoria) but that comes with the territory of romance and I can’t hold it against Meagan. In all honestly, it’s pure angsty goodness and those enjoy the buildup with all the highs and lows are going to love this one.

Victoria… She’s probably one of my favorite heroines. She’s another character who is flawed and imperfect, and it makes her more real. She was so much stronger than I gave her credit for and watching her love without receiving it back with the patience of a saint was gorgeous. I love seeing selflessness in characters and this is Victoria to a T. Readers are going to absolutely love her.

As with the other books in the series, there is some drama and twists (WOW I wasn’t expecting SOME OF THEM) and you’re going to be on a rollercoaster ride throughout. You will see all the familiar faces of those who came before their love story too. I recommend reading this series in complete order from publication as you will be spoiled if you don’t. Raven and Big Man, Royce and his… future missus? That ending… seeing him!?! GAH! I need it now! And then a few more familiar faces of those you love and those you hate. But above all else? You will love Be My Brayshaw because it’s a deep, emotional, angsty, gritty, and slow burn.

IT'S LIVE!!!

CROSS ONE, CROSS ALL.

And finally, we got Captain's book and i can tell you... That the waiting was worth it!!!!
This story was one of my most anticipated for this year...
I was waiting like crazy to see how this thing between Captain and Victoria will play out, especially afte the revelations on the ending of "Reign of Brayshaw".
And of course, Meagan didn't disappoint! This woman never disappoints me and I will be eternally one of her biggest fans!

"Between the four, there are no gaps to slip through, no holes left unfilled, and no way around.
I don't want around.
I want inside."

Captain was always the more logical, quiet and calculated Brayshaw. He was the one that the others were looking up to to give them the best solution.
All it took for him to lose his cool demeanor was a feisty little blonde liar and Captain changed overnight.
In his book, Captain is trying to find his foot on parenthood. After everything that he got through, he is finally having his daughter under his roof, by his side, but he is still trying to figure out how to become a great parent for her.
At the same time, Victoria has crawled her way inside of all of them and he don't know what to do with her...

"Our town is a twisted place and no move is as simple as making it, so I shouldn't have been surprised when not two minutes after, I learned of a lie.
A lie too big to forgive."

Don't they say... Keep your friends close and your enemies closer???
Victoria has keeping so many secrets and she had told them too many lies and because of that, Captain can't let her go... Instead to make her disappear, he brought her into their house, under the same roof with his precious girl....
But he did it with a purpose... A purpose that every day seems to backfire into his face...
He can't trust her, but he wants her.... He just have to stay away from her. But can he???

"Welcome home, Beauty. Might wanna sleep with one eye open."

Well, what can i say about Victoria??? I loved this crazy girl from the beginning, even though she was kind of bitch back then... But book after book, she had managed to crawl inside my heart and not only to mine!!!!
Victoria was sassy, strong, and determined to belong between the Brayshaws and she wanted a certain Brayshaw to be hers....
I loved her determination and her spirit very much....
Yep, this woman had so many secrets, but when i discovered them, she just showed me how fierce and loyal she were and how she deserved to be Captain's number one...

"I hold no leverage, only lies.
I feel no pride, I'm buried in shame...
I can be different here. An asset instead of a threat.
I want that, to be useful.
Worth something."

"Whoever listens to the desperate whispers of a lonely girl in the dark...
Please. Let him be my Brayshaw."

I won't hide to you that Captain and Victoria's journey wasn't an easy one from many aspects.
They had to fight with themselves and others in order to be together.
There were a mutual distrust between them that were bringing them troubles all the time.
And there was a little girl standing in their way, but not in the way you're thinking.
Victoria had a heavy load upon her shoulders and in order to have her Brayshaw, she had to sacrifice everything, even though Captain was always with one foot outside the door.

"What started out as righting wrongs, I'd helped create, turned into more and without permission.
My little wonder grew to want, want morphed into need, and there was no going back from there.
Possibility bloomed, grew richer roots, and clawed its way into the ground around me. "

"I said I wanted you, Beauty... Not your mind, not your heart, not you. My want is groin deep, satisfied by a warm body I can play with."
"Now who's the liar?"
"Hold on to that bit of confidence, it'll feel good when I shred it to pieces."

These two were perfect for each other...
Even though they couldn't see it, there was a harmony to that pairing...
Victoria was so much more than the eye could see...
And Captain had his reasons to be so distrusting to the outsiders, even though his attraction to Victoria was too big to deny it.
I won't hide to you that my heart broke in here about certain things...
At some point, i was so disappointed with Captain, but he managed to redeemed himself.
Victoria was the perfect fit on this small loyal cycle of Brayshaws.

"I want to let go of all we are to uphold- respect, loyalty, trust- and gamble everything for what might be... my everything."

"You can try to deny me with your words, Cap, but your body knows the truth, and your mind will never allow such a lie."

And oh my!!!! When I found out who would be the pair for Royce at the end, i was over the moon!!! Hell yes!!!! I can't wait for this story to come into my hands.
Uncle Bro deserves his HEA!!!!
Of course, i loved that I saw how Raven and Maddoc were after the ending of their own story and I loved Royce in here for once again. He is the more distrusting person and i liked how his relationship with Victoria developed after all!!!
Need more, of course!!!! Bring me Royce, Meagan!!!! I'm ready!!!

"She's never had a friend. We were her first. Be her next, be what my brother needs and wants, be here for my family in full, or get. The fuck. Out." {Maddoc}

*********************************************

You don't need a Brayshaw to become one. All you have to do is earn it. That's my goal."

It was okay, I guess? Like there wasn't a wow factor to this and obviously with all the overhype, I was a bit disappointed that this didn't win me over but then again it was unsurprising. Meagan Brandy is an author that's a hit or miss for me.

The overdramatic shenanigans the crew found themselves in 'My Brayshaw' was a bit too much for me (seriously how much shit could possibly go wrong with one person?!) and the romance between Captain and Victoria was meh at best though the relationship they had with Zoey was absolutely adorable. She was too darn cute not to like. Speaking of liking, I didn't care for Victoria. I tried. I really did and I'm sure I liked her better in the first three installments of 'Brayshaw High' better and that's probably because she was a minor character. Ouch, I know.

Also it probably doesn't hurt to mention that the ending chapters were far more entertaining than everything else I read in this book and despite it being short, my G-Eazy baby Bass two second appearance made my heart pound. Where the fuck is his story?! His book?! He's probably the only character I was looking forward to minus Mike who I won't further elaborate on since it'll spoil the story.

So yeah... *chrissy teigen awkward smile gif* It was just okay.

Loved this! Captain and Victoria's book was one that I was anxiously awaiting and it most certainly did not disappoint. Be My Brayshaw is a phenomenal story filled to the brim with secrets and lies, twists and turns, suspense and steam. And just when you think you have it all figured out... Think again. This is one wild ride that will keep you guessing up until the very end.

Captain and Victoria may just be my new favorite couple. Shh... Don't tell Maddoc and Raven! The push and pull, the tension and the sizzling chemistry between them... It was completely and utterly off the charts. Victoria was a loyal and selfless character who always put others first. I loved getting inside her head and seeing what made her tick. And her connection with Captain and his daughter Zoey was oh so sweet. I absolutely loved every single second of this story! Five stars and SO MANY MORE for Captain, Victoria and Be My Brayshaw!

Be My Braysahw is the fourth book in the ‘Brayshaw’ series. i know many of us were excited to finally get his book and i know many of you ended up disappointed. this book definitely isn’t the best but i also don’t think it’s so terrible that it deserves 1 star. if she made some changes to the book and just erased some of the scenes then probably the majority of us wouldn’t have ended up disappointed but let me tell you what i think.

many believe captain treated victoria like an ass which is true but i also understand why she wrote him like this. captain finally gets zoey into his life permanently instead of seeing her what every weekend? it’s different and difficult bc he has to get used to being a father 24/7 now and watching over zoey all the time instead of just for one day every week. he also needs to make sure that his daughter is comfortable in that house bc she doesn’t know it or the people in it that well. so when finding out that victoria has know his daughter and spent more time with her than he has before even meeting her is tough. this is your child and you hope to be the one who knows them best but then someone new comes to live into your house and knows your daughter better than you do? he felt betrayed and i get it. i mean hell i would too lol. it’s a difficult situation so i get why he acts how he does. but he still deserves a brick thrown at his face :)

captain knows victoria has her secrets and he has no idea if it’s going to ruin anything for him and his family that he literally JUST got counting in zoey mostly. captain is a fucking father and isn’t going to trust someone he doesn’t know anything about around his daughter. it’s just like we all will do or already do in real life now. no one what’s their child around someone they know nothing about bc you never know what could happen. so when i look at it that way. . . him being an ass is ok to me. he sure went over the top with it but i understand why he did it.

with saying that, it also applies to raven and victoria’s relationship. yes, they’re sisters but they’re not going to jump into a relationship. they also don’t even know each other well and raven wanted victoria to prove herself to the bray’s that she belonged. sure they interacted in the other books but finding out your relationship on top of all the mess your trying to deal with. they aren’t going to come out as best friends. raven trusts the boys more bc she’s around them more so she goes with what the boys say or do. do i wish she would have interacted more with her? yes but not every sister relationship is like that. and we don’t always get what we want or think we were going to get.

the main thing that she should that just not written at all or at least change it up was the scene between victoria, mallory, and captain. like what was the point of that scene really? but like i said before if she write things differently or just not write it at all, this book would have been a lot better.

OMG WHAT I JUST READ?!
THIS BOOK IS FIRE
CAPTAIN IS FIRE!
Meagan Brandy did an outstanding work in bringing to life Captain and Victoria's story.
I think I finished it in less then 3 hours. I couldn't bring myself to put it down.
Captain and Zoey 's relationship melted my heart .
ESKIMO KISSES AND BUTTERFLY HUGS are EVERYTHING .
I thought this book was going to kill me in almost every chapter , I don't know how to describe it but this book gained a solid place in my to re-read at least once a year list.
Captain was so intense , I almost thought he was going to make its brain explode for all that thinking and also for all his guilty thoughts .
I think the real hero in this book was Victoria , she has always been there, in the dark ,being a saving angel . She was everything Captain needed and she was ready to move mountains to get him. NO METTER WHAT..
I GAVE IT 4.95 STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I'M DEFINITELY READY FOR ROYCE STORY LIKE RIGHT NOW PLEEESSEE!!!

What an emotional rollercoaster!
But without any doubt, I can say that Victoria earned her rights of be a Brayshaw even without Captain by her side (actually I would say that for most part of the book, he should lost his place to her! He was really that bad!)

This girl just rock their world, and make it spin in the right direction, without their knowledge!
She's so strong and selfless that I just want to protect her from all the hate that she was given.

Cap didn't make her life easy, and it killed me read the way he treated her almost the entire book! He was relentlessly cold, always demanding without give anything in return. She was so eager to please, that she accepted the crumbles he fed her, and the lies that he hide.

Cap was always the nurture brother. The calm before the storm. The anchor. The thinker. The smarter. See him as the one to always push Victoria away, really pisses me off. Everything she did, she did it for him... For Zoey. Everyone was accepting her... Raven and Victoria grown closer everyday. It was amazing to see their bonding.

Her relationship with Zoey is the most beautiful thing in this book! They really belong to each other and again, see how Captain denied her the only thing that makes her truly happy, broke my heart.

I'm really sad that their story is a single book, they really deserved at least a duet! Just so we could see Captain as a good man to VicVee in more than a few pages.

Cap didn't crawled at her feet as I expected him to, after all the shit he said and done, but he's Brayshaw... So it is what it is.

Can't wait to see Royce's on his knees to get into that tiny little rocket brat. 😂

Gah!! Meagan Brandy did it again!! Be my Brayshaw packed a powerful punch full of combustible chemistry, fiery secrets and a bombshell betrayal that took my breath away. This story continued the amazing  storyline between Captain Brayshaw and Victoria Vega and the myriad of secrets between them. This story was outright delicious and I for one never wanted it to end!

Good Lord did this story have allll the drama. It was an epic rollercoaster ride of secrets and lies and the unbreakable bonds of family and loyalty. Victoria was selfless and such an amazing character. It was fantastic being in her head and seeing where her heart and motivations were. Seeing her connection with Captain and Zoe was amazing and I for one was allll about their FIERY connection. Overall, this story had heart and heat and was a fantastic standalone story in the series. Now I can't wait for Royce's book! 4 stars! ~Ratula

I was so excited to read captain and Victoria's book.
But this was a huge let down. I mean HUGE.
Captain is a great dad and all but tbh I don't think he deserves Victoria.
She did so much for him and he repayed her by hurting her so much. I was still okay, not happy though, by that point because I was expecting some groveling on his part when he realised what a huge mistake he made but IT DID NOT COME. She just took him back like nothing happened. I don't think he even apologised.
Captain treated her like shit and that end scene with him, Victoria and Mallory was not needed and I hated it.
He was just a different guy. He was not the guy I loved in the trilogy. I'm so disappointed right now. I was really looking forward to enjoying this.
The only good thing about this book was Zoey and her scenes with Victoria.

This book right here was one I was highly anticipating and it did not disappoint. This series is one of my all time favourites and Victoria and Captain’s love story was definitely worth the wait. Be My Brayshaw is everything I have come to expect from Meagan Brandy. I absolutely loved how she allowed Captain and Victoria to have their own unique voice and romance within the Brayshaw world. It’s suspenseful and mysterious, full of unexpected twists and turns and sexy as hell. Captain and Victoria’s story kept me at the edge of my seat; as new secrets were constantly revealed new secrets and one that had captivated me from the get go. And I loved every minute of it.

I loved being back in the world of Brayshaw. I was so eager for this story and it definitely wasn't an easy one. All the angsty goodness, tension filled, so many secrets and some intense heat - although it was a bit of a slow burn which was slightly unexpected but it WORKED. Cap and Victoria were absolutely perfect for each other. On one hand, she challenged him on so many levels, and on the other, he gave her that stability in her life she desperately needed and craved.

Be My Brayshaw is the perfect addition to the Brayshaw world. It is filled with sexual tension, jaw-dropping secrets and shocking twists. I loved Victoria so hard, Zoey melted my heart and although I had a love/hate thing for Cap and he disappointed me a bit sometimes... in the end I still loved him, and his and Zoey's moments together were absolutely delightful. Meagan Brandy has given us another captivating and all consuming read that was impossible to put down. Cap and Victoria’s story is a deep, emotional, angsty, gritty and delicious masterpiece.

I had to take a day to get my thoughts in order after binging this baby in one day. I DEVOURED THE CRAP OUT OF THIS BOOK! Once I started, I just could not stop. It was truly unputdownable for me. I took the day off everything just to read it ahah. It was so amazing to be back in the Brayshaw world. Getting to see all the gang, welcoming a new member, getting new povs, seeing Daddy Cap front and center... I loved it all so much.

I adored everyone's moments with Zoey. She was adorable and just made everyone melt whenever she was around, me included. How everyone loved that little girl so hard and put her above everything else. I'm dying to see Maddoc and Raven as parents omg. Seeing them mentally prepare themselves to the idea of being parents was so cute, I love that they are so worried... they'll be amazing parents. That baby will be so loved and well protected!!

Victoria freaking stole my heart. Just like Raven, she is a badass female. But I think she is even more selfless and has such a big heart. Gah, I loved her so much. She truly belonged with the boys and Raven. And seeing her fight for her spot hurt but was also amazing. She was put through so much throughout her life and this book, my heart could barely take it. There were so many moments that got to me... I teared like 3-4 times and most of them were all thanks to Vic and how I felt so much for what she was going through.

So much happens. So many more truths and secrets uncovered. So many unexpected things happening and shocking me to the ground. There were things I found easy to figure out but when the time came Meagan still managed to shock me and through me off. Her plotting is truly amazing. I can't f*cking wait to see what she has planned for Royce omg. The bread crumbs we got... that freaking ending! I need inside his brain STAT! I need to know what he's planning.

Be My Brayshaw is another amazing book within this epic series. And dare I say, it was the best one yet. I freaking loved Victoria so hard, Zoey melted my heart and although Cap disappointed me a bit sometimes... I still loved him so much and gosh his and Zoey's moments were the best *-* I loved hanging out with everyone, even Chloe omg. This book was just amazing. Cap and Victoria had this back and forth... slow burn romance yet not exactly that just had me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen next. I kind of loved the power/ jealousy games they played. Wanting each other yet not giving in completely. They were hot!! Gah, just thinking about them makes me want to reread!! Read this baby, it will not disappoint!!

This was everything I hoped it will be and so so much more.
I fell in love with Victoria and Captain in book 2 and since that moment I couldn't stop thinking about them, so when this book was announced, you see, I immediately started the countdown.
And holy hell, it was amazing.
The angst and tension between them was so intense, their attraction and chemistry was over the top.
I loved how hard Victoria fought for him, and how they didn't back down from any fight.
Their love was so strong and loud.
I adored Victoria's relationship with Zoey. It was so wholesome and I did cry in some scenes. Especially one was so emotional I really broke down.
Captain and Zoey's relationship was the purest thing I've ever seen. They deserve all the happiness in the entire universe.

I didn't expect Royce to be the one who opened his arms and heart to Victoria the most, you could've seen how much he cared for her. I love platonic relationship so much ugh!
But also Raven. I was worried she was going to be against her and not help her out, but I should've known Meagan would've never done it. Rae is still our queen. Strong, fierce and loyal.
I loved seeing her and Maddoc dealing with her hormones and enjoying their well deserved happiness.

Going back to my favorite couple, did I already said their chemistry was insane? Well, let me say it again. They were fire. They absolutely belong together, they were made for each other and you could totally see in this book how they completed each other. And how much they loved Zoey was so beautiful.
Victoria is so strong, a real fierce and loyal queen. She's very different than Rae, but they're also very similar. She fought for the people she loved. And she fought hard.
I loved how everyone knew from the beginning she belonged with them, but she had to fight to show them she really did. She carved her place with them and deserved it completely.
Captain was complex. It's still him but with flaws and fears and mistakes. I did want to smack his face a lot in some scenes not going to lie here, but he did his best to redeem himself and to show his love to Victoria.

Overall this is and will probably always will my favorite Meagan book, it was everyhing I needed and wanted.
And now it's Royce's turn. OH Royce. I screamed when we heard the name of his love interest. I did expect it but I still screamed. I can't wait to see their story and to see Maddoc&Rae and Victoria&Captain&Zoey in their book as side characters.

Overall, Be My Brayshaw is somewhere between a 2.5 to a 3 star read for me.

When I say that I was really excited to read Captain’s book, I do not say it lightly.
It’s Captain Brayshaw! The strong but guarded brother… quiet, logical, fierce and loyal. Who won’t be intrigued right?
But damn. I don’t know what happened from book 3 to this book because I really din’t like him in this book. Though I will acknowledge the fact that he is a wonderful dad to Zoey .

I liked Victoria. She wasn’t my new favourite heroine but she more than passed the benchmark.

You know the thing with Be My Brayshaw is that, for me, I was prepared for the drama and the theatrics of the world of Brayshaw but I found it rather overdramatic.
It truly pains me to admit that I was bored with the romance between Captain and Victoria *shoulder shrug*

It’s also truly sad that the one think I found most memorable about this book is Victoria and Zoey’s relationship. They had such a lovely bond and I wish I could have read more about them.

I must have read different book to all high ratings because what a fuck is this.
Captain, I have no words forward and Victoria is basically doormat I didn't like them as couple at all, same goes Madoc and Raven.
I will read Brielle and Royce book just to finish series, hopefully they are better then this bar is not high.
Only thing good is Victoria and Zoe scenes.
Overall yikes.

⭐️ 5 "Anchor, Wave, Ocean" Stars ⭐️
I’ve been obsessed with the Brayshaw Series since reading Boys of Brayshaw High last year. Needless to say I was ecstatic to finally dive into Captain’s book! Be My Brayshaw was one of my most anticipated release this year and it exceeded my expectations. Meagan Brandy presents here an enemies to lovers romance at its best, with two strong main characters with so much personality and explosive chemistry!

The thing I find the most captivating about this series is the fact that all the Brayshaws share a powerful and unbreakable bond based on trust. They don’t give their trust easily though and make you work for it. Victoria not only has to prove her worth to Captain, but also to Raven, Maddoc and Royce. With her previous lies and scheming, the Brayshaws are suspicious of her intentions. Despite all these obstacles in her way, she tries really hard to make them realize she only has their well-being in mind. She's truly selfless and resilient. Her relationship with Captain is tumultuous with their conflicting feelings, but under all the mistrust lies a fierce attraction that’s hard to resist. Here and there, they share stolen moments of passion mix with hate that are just so combustible.

An aspect I was more than waiting for in this book is Captain as a daddy. Seriously, he’s so dreamy with his little girl and would protect her at any cost. The guy that was so serious and the voice of reason in Maddoc and Raven’s trilogy, is this time more impulsive and cold. I felt it is only a way to shield himself from hurt though. One thing is clear, throughout the novel his head heart and soul are constantly at war making his romance with Victoria chaotic, but pure fire!

This book wouldn’t be complete without all the big revelations coming to a clash in the last few chapters. The suspense and all the feels these characters brought to life had me invested 100% into this addictive story. I just couldn’t get enough of the gang and sweet little Zoey! She’s so adorable and has her family completely charmed! Be My Brayshaw was everything and now I need Royce’s story ASAP with that intriguing ending!
