Badly Behaved

A Top 10 Amazon Bestseller #1 in New Adult Romance USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author Meagan Brandy brings you a story about a high society girl who dares to love an outsider. I'm a Monet. A chameleon. I'm whatever I must be. The flawless daughter, a skilled socialite, and the perfect prize to the man of my family's choosing. Not that I'm complaining. I knew what my future would hold before I returned to California, and the truth is, I'm all for a loveless life. One that takes little thought and zero devotion. It's exactly what I want. Or it was...until I locked eyes with someone from the opposite side of the tracks. He's the ripple in the rich, the poor punk who doesn't belong...or so the trust fund crew claims. He's everything I'm supposed to avoid, untamed and unapologetic, reckless and free. Addicting in ways I can't explain. I'm aware no good will come of our friendship, yet I can't bring myself to care. Him and his friends ready to show me the world through their eyes. The question is...do I let them?___This 103k word standalone will take you on a ride of epic proportions! This book rides a fine line of many tropes including reverse harem, an arranged marriage with a twist, opposites attract, and a tad of enemies-to-lovers. The steam is high and nights are promiscuous. Enjoy!

“Let me inside,” he whispers, his lips aligned with mine, waiting for more and on the verge of taking it. “Let me have what’s mine.”

THIS BOOK HAD ME OBSESSED LIKE OMG I HAVEN'T BEEN THIS OBSESSED WITH BAD BOYS SINCE TIJAN'S BOOKS AND THESE BOYS ARE FREAKING EVERYTHING. It's the kind of book that I thought about all damn day because i just wanted to go back in and read it but I had to ADULT! Dammit!

The mystery and twists and turns had me flipping the pages, but at the same time I never wanted it to end! AND HELLOOOO SLOW BURN! And jesus fuuuuck the sexxxy times were so dang hot! These boys are some of my fave characters of Meagan's and I ADORED Jameson! I could not get enough!

I have been in such a reading funk lately, books this year which I've been highly anticipating in some ways have let me down, when I wish for something outside of the box and something unique thrown my way its become like a needle in a haystack. Same old storylines, same old hero and heroine issues.

UNTIL NOW..

This book was unlike anything I have EVER read before. It's UNLIKE anything this author has written before.

WHEN THE LIGHTS GO OUT.....RUN!!

This review won't do this book the justice it deserves because you really need to go in BLIND. I was hooked as soon as I started, if I didn't work from home I would've thrown a sicky just so I could spend the day in this world.

WHEN THE LIGHTS GO OUT...THE BLACKOUT BOYS COME OUT TO PLAY!!

I can't get enough, I want more, I need more, I crave more...

UNPOPULAR OPINION

Badly Behaved is like Boys of Brayshaw High in reverse. Instead of 3 rich guys and 1 poor girl, we have 1 rich girl and 3 poor guys. There was no plot for 70% of the book, besides people –who should focus on school and doing their homework– setting things on fire constantly.
Tonight, when the lights go out and darkness takes over, I'll show my man how lucky I feel.
And when he'll shoe me just how badly behaved he can be.
Bring on the blackout.

** RANT INCOMIN BIG SPOILERS INCLUDED **

Last warning that I'm going to reveal big "plot" twists and you shouldn't read this if you still want to read this book.

*
*
*

Main characters:

- Jameson Filano (h)
- Ransom Rossi (H)
- Arsen Agular (Ransom's bestie)
- Beretta Keller (Ransom's other bestie)

Side characters (who might be relevant for this review):

- Anthony (Jameson future husband)
- Amy (Jameson's rival and part of their "friends group")
- Jules (Amy's twin sister)

I already know this reviews is going to be a mess, but here we go.

First things first, going through a couple of ARC reviews.. I really thought this book was Reverse Harem, because how people kept talking about Jameson and "the Blackout Boys", but it's not really..or it depends if you consider the first book of Boys of Brayshaw a RH, because it's the same here. The 3 guys are super close and do EVERYTHING together. Jameson and Ransom are endgame and marry at the end of the book, but there are sharing scenes. Neither Arsen or Beretta had sex with Jameson, but they do other things to her while Ransom sleeps with her. So there is that. 🤷🏽‍♀️

You know why these guys always share the woman they sleep with? Ransom has a sister who was involved in a drunk accident. While his sister was fighting for her life on the operating table, he was fucking Amy. For that he felt so much shame and guilt that since then he can't 'perform'. Arsen and Beretta are helping him by sharing women so he doesn't go numb and can.... execute. 🥴 Ransom Beretta and Arsen are known as the Blackout Boys, because they have this 'game' when the light goes out and then things happen in the dark. You can guess what things.

I already mentioned above that 70% of the book nothing happens, but I want to elaborate a little more on that. All that happen is Jameson hanging out with her rich friend group, going dress shopping, wrecking her expensive car, getting ambushed by the Blackout Boys in changing rooms, girls bathroom etc., and going on Sunday dates with Anthony who she is promise to by her lawyer mother. So Anthony is here for the OM drama and villain drama.

Besides a sister, Ransom has a brother too, but he hates his brother, cause his brother was the drunk guy behind the accident with his sister and his brother is the one who put his sister in a home bc she is partially paralyzed and Ransom is the only one who visits her. Guess who the wonderful guy is???? YES... DING DING DING it's Anthony!!! The stud Jameson has to marry, cause he has shit on her mother that could ruin her mother's life. Moral of the story: Anthony thought he was so smart, but Jameson's mother is smarter, cause she turned all the evidence Anthony had against her against him and he was the one going to prison and she walked around free, cause she has some high profile criminal friends who helped her.

Reading this whole book I felt NOTHING and I was bored af, but that's it. But there is one character in this book that I hated with my whole heart and that was AMY. Fuck that girl. Amy looking and belittling Jameson? Go ahead, I don't care. Amy trying to best Jameson in everything? Girl, if you're that bored go for it. But what Amy did to her twin sister.. I can never forgive that. There is some side drama at the end of the book where Jules committed suicide, she couldn't handle all the pressure and idk what other demons she had going on, but what pushed her over the edge is seeing her boyfriend sleeping with her twin sister. Amy wanted to see if Dax (Jules' boyfriend) really loved her, so she dressed up as Jules (had a wig with the same hair as Jules, wore her clothes and stayed in Jules room and when Dax went into Jules room, they had sex, but ofc he thought it was Jules, cause everything was pretty dark and from what he saw it looked like Jules.
"I just wanted to see if he would know, if he really loved her because if he did, he would know right? I didn't mean to keep going, I... and when she walked in."
"Oh my god, she saw," I breath, my stomach threatening to empty itself.
"Dax, he... he broke down, fell to his knees and Jules she felt like... like nothing. She started to wonder if maybe he didn't love her like she thought, but he did. He loved her so much."

BITCH WHY. 😭😭😭 AMY IS THIS SOME SICK JOKE TO YOU. FU FU FU FU I HATE HER!!! She clearly has demons of her own and some really hardcore self esteem issues, but for the life of god after what she did and the consequences.. I just wanted that girl to suffer. I was fuming on behalf of Dax and Jules. That's the saddest part of the whole story, it felt like Dax and Jules were like Romeo and Juliet and i just wanted to cry for their love story. Imagine being in Dax shoes and getting violated by Amy in the worst way possible, your actual girlfriend walking in on you and then killing herself, because of what she saw. What the fuck i hate it. I felt Dax and Jules love story more in the two sentences of Amy describing Dax falling to his knees and loving Jules than Jameson and Ransom romance in 400 pages. 😭😭

R.I.P. Jules. You had like 5 sentences max, but your my most beloved character in this book and the reason why i give this book an extra 0.25 stars. 🥺

For the rest of the characters: Find a hobby that doesn't destroy someone's life and push them to commit suicide. Thank you.

Holy smoking delicious book goodness- Meagan Brandy has created another unforgettable and consuming story. Only this story is something that we’ve never seen before, entirely unpredictable and completely unexpected, while still evoking all the tried and true Meagan Brandyisms we’ve come to love and adore about her writing. I went into this story completely unaware of just what it was going to be- and I’m so glad I did, because Badly Behaved absorbed me entirely.

Brayshaw boys, you better watch out. Oh yes, it is that good- with just a spark of Brayshaw familiarity yet entirely different from the flagship series. This cast of characters is bolder, braver, more intoxicating, and every bit as addictive. Meagan somehow juxtaposes a melancholic, raw gravitas with a captivating joie de vivre, a contrast that not only makes this story so dynamic and engrossing, but also speaks to the sincere and heartfelt message this story inspires underneath its flashy sparkle. Delivered in the most unexpected of ways, this is a story about living, and finding the courage to live BETTER. By accepting yourself but also choosing yourself, by finding the strength to stop living the life expected and start living the life you crave. And about the everyday bravery needed to be vulnerable and open enough to go after what you want, and to truly connect with others.

Like all Meagan stories, this is really about characters- flawed, complex, unusual characters. Captivating and defensively broken characters. Our heroine Jameson is so engaging- by far Meagan Brandy’s most realized, more layered character to date. She’s a character of contrasts- the jaded socialite, the apathetic dreamer, a stoic feeler, cautiously reckless. Her fear of vulnerability, her solitude, and her general lostness made her so relatable and empathetic, despite her living a life that few will understand. And then we have the Blackout Boys- Ransom, Arsen, and Beretta- the mysterious bad boys that ensnare our heroine into their antics- a catalytic jolt that awakens Jameson from her resigned slumber. These guys are all kinds of delicious in the way they challenge Jameson. They are somehow both dangerous and unsettling while also being swoony and sweet. And they rival the Brayshaws in terms of how they operate as a family. The dynamics are complicated, messy, and defy explanation- just expect steam, angst, tons of twists, and a a character chemistry that will make your heart skip beats.

And expect A LOT OF questions. If you are reading this hoping that I'll spoil the tropes or plot or anything about the unique dynamics of this story, I'm going to disappoint you. This is meant to be read unawares- you are meant to question, to second guess, to be constantly analyzing. And that is the very POINT of this story- about how we as humans are constantly trying to fit some arbitrary mold, fit into the parameters that someone else created that inhibit real existence, that trap authenticity and self-actualization. Meagan's narrative approach is brilliant in basically calling attention to the very theme she's so lovingly articulating - this story can't be put in a box, but as we read it we constantly are trying to do that. We want to compartmentalize and define it- because that's what we've internalized to do. Label, categorize, and ultimately limit. Meagan creates a story structure that matches its themes- let it go, JUST BE, lean into your joy and happiness. When we live on our own terms, when we live without the boxes, the story (and the living) is ALL that much more richer and intoxicatingly freeing.

There are elements of this that were not perfect for me- the ending does feel a bit rushed, the pace is super slow at first, and we only truly dig super deep with our heroine. But- I feel like that is by design- she's the center. And, ultimately, any small imperfections matter not to me. Because to read this story is about the EXPERIENCE. The metaphysical journey we take as a reader that is an exact replica of that of our heroine. We embody her pysche so deeply, uncover the truths and meaning just as she does, that we don't just stumble into the heart of this story, we DEEPLY breathe it, internalize it as our own. And that, well that is the point of this journey- and at that, this book amazes. Hands down my favorite Meagan Brandy book- and her most creative story telling to date!

Ummm there is NO WAY I am going to be able to keep this review short. OMG this book is deliciously naughty, provocative, and ever-evolving. I am still spinning from all that happened.

Jameson our heroine stays resigned to having her life planned out for her. She comes from wealth but she also has experienced loss. The beginning of this book I kept thinking, “girl, what are you doing?” She appears insightful and nonjudgmental when it comes to her crazy rich high school friends. Truthfully she needs some of that grace for herself. Ummm the momma in me wanted to tell her to be careful. Boredom and maybe a bit of numbness is the wrong reason to trust people you don’t know. I kept reading and learned sometime trusting those who are closest can be even more damaging. YIKES!

(Deep breath) Plan to be gob smacked with the “Blackout Boys”. I know you will have a favorite, as do I (wink), you won’t be able to help yourself. HAHA! Ransom, Beretta, Arsen have so much story to tell. Yep, buckle up and hang on with their antics. Some aren’t nice but some are REALLY HOT! RAPIDLY FANNING MYSELF! I digress. You will be asking yourself all kinds of questions when it comes to these three. If you have read this author before, you know that is her evil genius at work. Eek!

Family (both biological and chosen) have a huge part in this telling. Living up to the expectations of others and feeling trapped in a world predesigned for you is weaved all throughout this book. You guys, the beauty of this writing is I lived it all with these characters.

HOLY HECK, this book is filled with characters. I LOVE LOVE LOVE stories like that. Please tell me we get more of our “”Blackout Boys” in future reads. I also need Sienna, Monti, Cali (maybe), and I know I am stretching but Amy needs a redemption story.

This book is worthy of five stars and more! HAPPY READING EVERYONE! XOXO

"Every spoiled little rich girl craves herself a psycho, at least a time or ten."

This review will be both vague and brief, because you should really just go into it blindly, but if you loved the author's Brayshaw series then you will likely enjoy Badly Behaved as well. This cover is FIRE, and while I didn't fall as head over heels for the "Blackout Boys" as I did my beloved Brayshaws, this book contains many of the twisty, addicting characteristics that the previous series thrived on. There are a few twists you may not see coming, as the beginning sets up for one mindset and then flips to another towards the 70% mark, but I highly recommend you give this book a try for yourself and save reading the reviews until after you've finished. ;)

Who is excited? 🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️

UPDATE:
I think I enjoyed it?
I’m still a little conflicted about how to rate this book. On one end, I was really confused and intrigued in the beginning. It’s really not a good combination to feel lost, confused but at the same time be curious and really into some of the ideas in the plotline.

Overall, i’d say it was a page turner for me. A slow burn that is HOT and Sexy, and has some unpredictable plot twist.
I’d actually recommend you give this a try.

“To hide the heart is to savage the soul.”

JUST WOW!

What I just read?

I don’t think words can really describe whats the essence of this story.

It’s something so original and unique that no story can be compared to it .

It’s like jumping from a plane with no parachute: scary but with a so strong rush of adrenaline that you can’t help loving it and became addicted .

“They are fascinating, untamed and unapologetic.”

I felt everything they felt , I was constantly on the edge , wandering what could possible happen next , and it was never what I imagined .

If you loved the relationship between the Brayshaw boys and Raven , then the blackout boys and Jameson will bring to your knees no question asked .

“I like you”

“Yeah” I nod. “you constantly being in my face sort of hinted to that”

The things that happen in the dark are the things we’re afraid to show to the world , the things we are sure to be judged for.

But it’s also true that in the dark you just feel more, your other senses amplify and you just have to enjoy the ride.

“It’s because at the end of the day, burying your weakness does nothing but manifest it, and then the universe gives you what you fear , so the answer is to feel nothing. A cruel fate at its finest.”

I’m not gonna spoiler anything but I’ll tell you this : you should get ready for the most sexy , passionate and emotional ride of your life.

So buckle up and just enjoy, leaving all kinds of judgements outside.

“Nobody can claim to understand the way one feels , because the reality is, we all feel differently. We can live through the same exact moments, even side by side, but we don’t experience them the same.”

This is hands down the best read of 2021 , nothing could ever come close to this masterpiece.

There’s no way.

I gave it 5 massive stars .

I hope you’ll enjoy it like I did

The concept behind this book was phenomenal. Theses boys rival my love for the Brayshaw boys and I am a #BrayGirl forever and ever, but this story had so much heart and depth to it that I couldn't help but fall into this new standalone head first with no regrets.

Ransom, Arsen, and Barretta are unit, a family, ones who would sacrifice anything for each other, and while that sounds very much like the Brayshaw world, it isn't. These boys are next level, they are pieces of each other. I don't know that they would survive without the other, and I found comfort in their relationship, that they were able to find peace in a chaotic world where they don’t really fit in. They found this piece of heaven with each other, which was completely alluring to me as a reader.

Jameson is such a complex character, seemingly cold and apathetic to life. Meagan Brandy really turned the socialite heroine around for me. I loved seeing her come out of her shell and wrestle with the feelings she has for years hidden away. I found her fear of feeling to be honest and raw and real. My heart ached for her and rejoiced when she finally allows her walls to come down.

The plot, as with all Meagan Brandy books, has the twists and turns we love. The last 30% consumed me. CONSUMED. ME. There was so much happening, plot revelations, secrets, real emotional connection, and an epilogue that just made me SWOON. And while I LOVED this story, LOVED it (see all the above), there were some pacing issues for me. At around the 40% mark it stalled for a bit, and there were some subplot threads that were dropped or not developed enough for the characters and the main plot line.

But what sealed the deal for me as being a good book is the theme. The idea that drove this book and the character really resonated with me, and I think it will resonate with a lot of the readers. It spoke of finding your comfort and home in people. It spoke of not closing yourself off because there is bad, but focusing and reveling in the good around you and the love of the people by your side. Badly Behaved was a story about overcoming the cold expectations of this world and society and clawing and fighting for your own HEA with the ones you love and care for.

Badly Behaved is a great read. Relatable, steamy, and captivating, it is story that has so much heart behind it. I am truly going to miss these characters.

I have been seeing a lot of hype around this book and was highly anticipating its release. I have read some of the author's books, so I knew I was in for a delicious treat. My concern is I found something else. While I liked this book, I didn’t love it. It was not my cup of tea. Don’t let my review detour you from reading it, and you could love it.

Here is what I liked—the heroines—all three of them. It's sort of a reverse harem, but the main character is Ranson. All three are kind of crazy. Got to be honest, every time there is a blackout, I will think of them and their games. I did love that part. Blackout games are how this all started. All three are bad boys of a Rich kid town. Blackout is where they shut off power and, within that time, steal, set things on fire, etc. Jameson is the heroine. Her cold-hearted mother raises her and has her life mapped out for her. Jameson very much comes across as the ice queen. Know one, but the three see her for who she really is.

My concern is the book is a slow burn, which I do love. With a slow burn, I expect a detailed plot. The plot is lacking. The beginning started off great, then up to thirty-two percent, the story dragged. I stuck through and kept reading. The plot didn’t pick up until after fifty percent. I almost dnf’d. The character growth of Jameson has so much potential yet fell short. She has only a few moods. I get it, however, as she is the ice queen with issues. We also don’t have Ranson's POV. We never know what he was thinking and why he did some of the things he did. I don’t know about anyone else, but for me, that is big.

Overall the writing was good, and I did like the book. It does fall short on my reread list. I enjoyed the side characters and hope to see them in the future.

***4,5 "Trouble!!!" stars***

NOW AVAILABLE

"To hide the heart is to salvage the soul."

There is no need to even read the blurb before i dive into a Meagan Brandy's book!!! I trust her that much!!! And believe me when I'm saying that you don't need to know anything about this book before you go into it...
This story was unexpectedly unique and full of antsy and intense moments.
It had the comfort of something familiar, but the excitement of something entirely new!!!!
Prepare yourselves cause when the lights go out... everything you knew is about to change!!!!

BRING ON THE BLACKOUT.

OMG!!! This story was amazing.
We had a heroine kind of badass who wasn't giving a fuck for the world that she was living in, but at the same time, we had a girl who was scared to love, so she was just going with the flaw.
Until three boys that loved the dark came into the boredness of her life and splash some magical colours in it and made her... feel, things that she had no right to feel!!!!

"What kind of social princess are you?"
"Wouldn't you like to know."
"As sure as fuck would."

Yep, there were three unique and beautiful on inside and on outside boys in here. Three reckless boys who were "bad influence" but whom the rich girls loved to play with in the dark.
Three boys that were like brothers and that were liking to play in the dark.
They were the Blackout Boys and they had set their eyes upon Jameson!!!

"Rich girls love bad boys, even if only in secret."

Well, I can't say more about this story cause I will ruin the experience for those who wants to read it!!!
I won't hide to you that the beginning was crazy and frustrating, but my heart never stop beating wildly throughout the whole book.
Ransom, Beretta and Arsen taught Jameson the other side of things and it was a magnificent thing to watch her fall!!!

"Feelings can go fuck themselves and so can the boys who shouldn't be able to bring them out of me."

"I told you what my future looked like long ago."
"That was before your future became mine."

It was a perfect story with so many unperfect factors in it.
It was wild and intoxicating and I will hold it in the box inside my mind as one of the most exciting stories that I've ever read. It deserves this title!!!
Meagan Brandy knows very well how to play the strings of my heart and I'm giving her free pass to do with it as she pleases.
My only objection in here was that i needed something a little bit more. I needed a little bit more complications, even though it might sounds crazy!!! I just needed for complicated things to not be resolved that fast. That's it!!!

"Get out of here, Blackout. This isn't your world."
"You're right... This isn't my world, but if you think mine isn't where you belong, you're dead fucking wrong."

Badly Behaved is a young adult, standalone romance by one of my favorite authors, Meagan Brandy. Told in first person perspective, get ready to meet Jameson and the Blackout Boys, Arsen Agular, Ransom Rossi and Beretta Keller.

I can honestly say this book was nothing like I was expecting. The concept behind this story is unique, refreshing and absolutely amazing. It did get off to a slow start for me (hence the four stars) but after about the halfway mark, this is when things really pick up. There is just so much happening that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

I don't want to say much more. This is one of those books where it's best to go in blind. But I will say this, the Blackout World is a place where I could stay and live in forever. This is such a fantastic story that I recommend to all looking for something a little different to read. It is steamy, captivating and completely heartfelt. Four stars for Jameson, The Blackout Boys and Badly Behaved!

3.5 ⭐️

Rewriting this since I gave too much away in my first review. Lol oops

For the first 70% I almost stopped reading. Multiple times. I pushed through and finished. But it wasn’t until after the first 70% that I could actually get into the book. (Maybe you won’t mind where it seemed like this book was going, but that was just a hard No for me)

This isn’t the first book of This author that I’ve read. I’ve read and really enjoyed her other books. This one however lacked a spark that grabbed my attention. Possibly because of not knowing if this was going to be one of those (I can’t mention) or not. The big bomb dropped and I was just over here waiting for it and..... yup I guessed right.
I really enjoy this authors writing but something fell flat in this book. The black out boys just didn’t get enough of there own time front and center. Because this book was about Jameson. She was however a very likable and relatable character. However there wasn’t enough of the others to fill in the blanks. I feel as though if we could have had more then that little bit at the end in any of the guys POV I wouldn’t be left wondering. Also can we get an Arsen novella or something cause I need to know what was really going on in his head.

My star rating stands at a 3.5 1 because I finished the book. 2. Because I didn’t skip any of it. And 3 because I did enjoy it after I finally finished. If I would have known ahead of time (that which shall not be mentioned) I feel as though I would have definitely enjoyed this book much more and prob would have been a solid 4 stars. That half star is where I’m stuck teetering back and forth because I know it should have been a solid 4.

Ps... I looked everywhere for the answer, multiple times. Lol searched the blurb, all of goodreads, author page, author posts. No mention. So without an obvious answer, I just couldn’t get invested in the story like I could have. If I had known.

My Rating: 5 stars
Genre Young Adult | New Adult Romance

Meagan Brandy is the QUEEN when it comes to writing a gritty new adult romance. Her books are absolutely addicting and enthralling. Behaving Badly falls right into the category of MUST READS for this very reason. I’ll admit, I was a little nervous going in because when I think of her books, I immediately associate them with the Brayshaws, and outdoing those would be a difficult feat. HOWEVER, she didn’t have to outdo them because this one is just as amazing as that series but in a different way! Sure, it still as the flair that those Brayshaw boys’ books do, and I can totally tell Meagan wrote this one (she has an amazing way of telling stories that are so uniquely HER) but it stands on its own in the most amazing ways! Sigh, I enjoyed this one so much and I am itching for a new book ASAP because I can’t get enough of the worlds or characters, she creates. Once you get a taste, there is no going back!

While I wish I could give readers a little insight about what this book is about I honestly CAN’T. It’s best to go into this story blind just as I did because it allows you to take the journey with Ransom, Jameson, and the boys without trying to figure out what’s going to happen. Trust me, you’ll want to do so as well. This book DOES have some twists and turns, and you may think it’s heading in one direction but then it swiftly pivots in another. It’s amazing! I highly recommend it and if you can, do so without any spoilers from other readers!

PS: If I could have another book or two to compliment this one, I would be so happy! 😊 I know many of you will understand what I mean and feel the exact same way!

When the lights go out... RUN!

You know those books that you read, where you are constantly checking what % you are at because you know the end is coming and you don’t want it to. So you try and read slower just to stay in that world for longer. That’s this book!

My blackout boys

Can Meagan Brandy please write a guy that I’m not in love with because I’m running out of space on my book boyfriend list 😂

No seriously! These men were everything. Ransom, Beretta and Arsen intrigued me, wormed their way into my black heart, made me fall head over heels for them and then broke my heart at points too.

I absolutely adored Jameson. She made mistakes but that’s real and it’s so relatable. If I had 3 guys like the blackout boys constantly around me, I’d be making dumb mistakes too!

Badly behaved was nothing like I expected and everything I didn’t know I needed. It doesn’t fit nicely into one trope and I love that because you have no idea what to expect and I love when books catch me off guard and boy oh boy did that bomb drop leave me speechless!

* 4.5 Stars*

Gah! I was absolutely obsessed with Ransom and Jameson. I thought their connection was FIRE and I could not get enough. Without a doubt, Meagan Brandy can write the most engrossing and compelling reads as I am a huge fan of her Brayshaw series. Badly Behaved was written in the same manner in that the characters were addicting, compelling and I could not put my kindle down!

Overall, this was a fun read. I loved getting lost in this new world, am sooooo sprung on the cast of characters she introduced and low key hope we get more books in this series. 4.5 stars! ~Ratula ❤

Badly Behaved by Meagan Brandy

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

5 MINDBLOWING STARS

From the incredible author of Brayshaw Boys, here comes Black Out Boys.

Badly Behaved is unlike anything I have EVER read so far and anything, UNLIKE this author, has written so far. Unforgettable, consuming, unpredictable, unexpected, steamy, and delicious, you will not be able to put it down.

I am speechless and blown away. I loved Jameson. I connected with her in so many ways. You will be surprised at what you can see and find out, by just staying away and observe. Be in but in the same way, be outside.
I had some expectations, but we are talking here about Meagan Brandy, the queen of twists and turns, so my advice is to go in blind.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK.

Oh My WOW!

Ok so I am sick so I am sorry if this is incoherent ramblings of someone who is nearly passed out on cold medicine and insanely tired for lack of sleep & taking care of my mini who is also sick- thanks fiance for bringing it home 😒😂😂

But Oh My WOW! I have no idea what else to say. I am at a loss for words. And also, this is best to go in blind to get a feel for and expiereince everything along with the characters.

Jameson Monet is her mother's daughter. She is exactly what her mother molded her to be. A skilled socialite who smiles never falters. And the perfect prize for the man who signed on the dotted line. But Jameson isn't complaining because a future where she doesn't have to think about what comes next is exactly what she wanted. Or so she thought.

But one night when the lights go out, Jameson comes alive. And no there is no going back, no escape, and her perfectly calculated future is out of her control.

Honestly, I loved loved loved this book. It was the perfect book to pass the day away, and ease my suffering just a little less.

I loved Jameson and felt for her perfectly crafted plan. She had everything she could ever want laid upon her feet, and yet... It was more than she could have ever asked for.

So when the darkness takes over, threatening to undo her future that has been calculated for her, she comes alive for the first time. This story was sooo much more than I was expecting- and Megan hit it out of the park. It had me gasping one minute and crying the next. It had me swooning and going nacy drew trying to piece the clues together. There is definitely more than meets the eye with these characters, and I fell in love with not one, not two, but 4 characters, including Jameson, but I will leave you to figure out who until you read this book 😉 If you live for the drama of the high socialites, and have yearned for something more then this book is for you. It's not your average boy meets girl, but sprinkled with scandal, and secrets and love. It doesn't fit well in one catagory or another but instead walks a fine line between them, dancing in the shadows. It may have been unconventional but I loved every second of it. 5 "I did not see that coming!" ⭐ Out of 5 ⭐.

⭐️ 4 “Blackout Boys” Stars ⭐️
Badly Behaved was such a refreshing story! Meagan Brandy created another YA / NA romance with a a unique twist and interesting characters that had me captivated. To be totally honest, it took me a few chapters to connect with the story, but I was soon hooked.

Jameson and her boys are complicated protagonists, but so worth discovering. Their dynamic is special and their bond so strong. I thought I knew where it was leading, but was agreeably surprised by the turn of events. This read was emotional, suspenseful and steamy! The perfect mix for a good time!

I won’t tell you more about the plot line as this book is better experienced entering blind. Badly Behaved is not to be missed for sure!

Unique and familiar.
This read was like traveling to a new city for the first time and being captivated by it but also feeling like you know and love it.

I was intrigued from the first chapter and devoured it in one day.
I had no idea where the plot was going to take me and I’m so glad I went in blind. The story has that signature Megan Brandy tone however with some new and unexpected twists. It also has Several layers that slowly kept unfolding while continuing to allure and consume you.

A new elite world filled with Tension, mystery, suspense, unique characters and plot that will leave you wanting more.

“To hide the heart isn’t to salvage the soul, it’s to protect it until the person it belongs to comes to claim it as their own.”

Meagan Brandy slays again with another all-the-feels masterpiece! I’m so shook ... so speechless ... so love struck. Badly Behaved is PURE PERFECTION! A brilliantly told and beautifully broken book of loyalty and love that took my breath, heart, soul, and tears with characters that made my emotions rage, nearly bringing me to my knees. Badly Behaved burns with a deliciously complex plot, captivating characters and intensely passionate prose. I was wholeheartedly OBSESSED with this romance!!!

Like Brandy’s Brayshaw series, Badly Behaved is a tale of a take-no-prisoners clan of friends who are family—bold and brave heroines and heroes who battle demons and walk through hell to protect their kingdom. This heroine and hero were created for each other, a beautiful and brave ice queen and the all-alpha, fire-breathing dragon of a hero who melts her. I experienced every part of their journey, feeling their combustible chemistry and deep connection through the pages. Two sinking souls anchored together. Soulmates who are unstoppable.

I find myself going back to the beginning—where a family of friends make up the core of each Meagan Brandy book. Back to the first Brandy book I read. Back to the Boys of Brayshaw High for a quote that I won’t forget, the nucleus entwined in each tale this unicorn-level author brings to life: Family runs deeper than blood.

Family. This master storyteller has brought many characters to life that truly feel like families. You have to admire writing that embeds itself into your heart and soul like that. Gah! There are good writers, and then there are writers that just leave you in awe. And Megan Brandy has definitely left me awe-struck after reading Badly Behaved.

This romance became my world, holding me captive from beginning to end, as I was thoroughly entangled in this moving masterpiece. Badly Behaved blew me away! An unforgettable, heartfelt tale about the power of perception, the battle with choice, and the bravery of risking everything for love. I treasured this tale, the type of love story with words that whisper long after the last page.

Another 6-star sensation and top 2021 romance!

love is not something anyone should chase in our world.
convenience breeds confidence and keeps the daily dosage down. love creates jealousy and doubt and mental instability.
love kills.

2.5 stars but i rounded up

➳ we know meagan brandy is a good author. she kills it with the new adult-high school books with ott alpha heroes that are cocky, and at times, very sexy. so this book is more of that.
⤷ dont come for me but this was very reminiscent of BOBH. i digress, there are nuances that make this its entirely own book but its just too similar.

➳ there was just a lot missing? i went into this book blind, only reading the synopsis (which btw doesn’t make much sense now that i’ve finished the book). nothing in this book really makes sense.

➳ i wanted the intensity MB typically brings. it doesnt have to be her typical enemies to lovers, but i want that tension and chemistry and this just didnt have it.
⤷ the drama w. the twins at the end of the book was more interesting.

➳ you have a rich bad ass girl (typical type of heroine for MB) and three dudes. there’s sexual tension (or at least there’s supposed to be) and then a “nefarious” plot. the execution for all of this missed the mark.

➳ i was expecting this to be as good as fake it 'till you break it but alas it wasnt.
⤷ this is not me trying to talk shit about MB, on the contrary, i still have hope for her. her standalone is still my favorite book shes ever written (maybe besides book 1 of BOBH).

am i the only one who finished the book super confused? i’m done and my brains like, “this is all we’re getting?” i feel bamboozled bc the plot didn’t make any sense and it’s like i have an itch i cannot scratch.
⤷ its hard to explain unless youve actually finished this book. a little under 500 pgs and i cant really tell you what its about.

➳ the only positive is that MB does write well and this is a pretty cover.
