The heating elements were very good for shoulder pain; however, the neck portion of the heating pad did not contain any of the heating elements. Since I purchased this for my neck pain, I had to wrap the shoulder portion around my neck. The cord could have been longer. I was about three feet from the receptacle and it was a stretch.
