Epic conclusion!
Secrets and betrayal, mystery, suspense and a TON of sizzling, scorching heat, make the conclusion to the DCB duet a gripping, fast paced read.While part one was more character driven, setting up the plot and shocking us with the secrets and mystery of The Luminaries Secret Society, part two gives us a lot of information- answering our burning questions as the puzzle pieces slowly slot into place.I love the layers and complexity of these characters, and Ash is most definitely an FMC I can root for. One of my favorite things about Ash is that she knows what she wants and goes after it, and doesn’t back down until she achieves her goals. Whether it be claiming the relationship she wants, demanding answers, or being a savior to those who need her help, Ash is brave and fiercely loyal, while also being compassionate and kind. I love the development of Ares’ character in this book and his connection with Ash. Siobhan makes these characters work hard for their happy ending and it makes for a very satisfying conclusion.Overall, I really loved this duet from Siobhan and look forward to hopefully reading more why choose from her in the new year.
