This book hit me right in the heart! I absolutely loved the newest addition to the vast array of mates who now grace the halls of The Keep! She is smart, and sassy, and more than ready to break through the shell of a certain witch. He fought the good fight, but in the end fate won out and the magic came full circle. The author kept us connected to the previous books with the constant interaction of the previous characters, and once again she brought us a bad guy who got his just rewards at the end. This book was an absolutely amazing read! I can only hope she doesn’t make us wait too long to see our last guardian find a love of his own.

Margo was born the illegitimate daughter of a married man. Both she and Logan the legitimate son of her father were born at the same time at the same hospital. They thought of themselves as twins even though they were raised by different mothers. Margo was born with a special ability that she only told her aunt about. She could catch glimpses of the future. Her aunt thought she was crazy. Because of her unique talent, Margo has a dream of proving that magic really exists, That is why when she grew up she joined a secret government agency that observed paranormal happenings. She has learned about werewolves and bear shifters but she wants to prove there is more out there. Then something happens to her brother Logan and her boss sends her in to investigate. Luckily the year before, she had microchipped her brother so she would always be able to find him in case something happens. She breaks into the HQ of the Guardians of Chaos and brings even more Chaos. A hot sexy, goth looking man named Egros was assigned to watch her until their leader was able to talk to her.

Egros was born in a witch family. His abusive dad married his mother to steal her magic. His mother died when he was young but she saved her magic for Egros. When Egros was just 16, his father beat him very badly and disappeared. Egros finished school with the Guardians of Chaos. It had always been his dream to help others. He uses his magic to help others like making potions to help female shifters with their heat. He has been a little lost since his friend Elina found her mate Logan. Egros had gotten a little too protective and had caused problems in their mating. Then one day Logan's sister bursts in trying to take him away. Egros is given the job of watching her until they can find out what she knows. Egros is having unknown feelings for Margo and is fascinated by her. He is torn between wanting her to leave and keeping her. When he is finally given the all clear to wipe her memory so they can let her go, strange magical things happen.
