Murder at Bingo Night: A Cottonwood Springs Cozy Mystery (Cottonwood Springs Cozy Mystery Series Book 22) Kindle Edition

4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars 441 ratings

In the heart of Cottonwood Springs, where secrets are whispered and grudges are nurtured, one woman's treacherous game of blackmail comes to a deadly halt. Morgan Douglas, a woman with an uncanny knack for uncovering others' secrets, has made a comfortable living exploiting the vulnerabilities of the town's residents. Living a lavish lifestyle, funded by the desperation of those she's cornered, Morgan believed she was invincible. Until bingo night.

Brigid, the proud owner of the New Dawn Bed & Breakfast, anticipated a night of fun and light-hearted competition when she decided to sponsor the bingo night at the Animal Rescue Center. She never expected it would evolve into a murder mystery with her and everyone present cast as potential suspects.

The crime scene: a dimly lit back hallway. The victim: none other than the sly and manipulative Morgan Douglas. The motive: countless, for Morgan had amassed an army of enemies over the years. With secrets as her weapon, she held the town in a vise grip of fear, extracting hefty sums to ensure the silence she promised.

Brigid, along with the astute Sheriff of Cottonwood Springs, finds herself diving deep into a puzzling investigation. With a multitude of suspects, each with their own burning motive, the challenge isn’t just finding the murderer, but discerning who had the most compelling reason to commit the deadly act.

In a town where trust is a rare commodity and secrets are currency, will Brigid and the sheriff uncover the truth behind Morgan's murder? Dive into a riveting tale of deceit, desperation, and revenge, as the shadowy corners of Cottonwood Springs reveal their darkest secrets.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent as Always!!

Mrs. Harman is one of my favorite authors. I have read the majority of the books she writes across her many different series and they are all interesting and entertaining. Great characters which are realistic and finely drawn. Eventually they seem like old friends. I love the relationship between Bridgett and her husband Linc, and their adopted daughter Holly. Their family dynamic is always woven into the storyline and plot of the current story. I can sometimes guess who the culprit is before the ending, but this one had me completely stumped. It was a huge surprise!

Brigid and the sheriff have their hands full!

Brigid and the sheriff have their hands full!
Bingo in a small town especially when it for a really good cause tends to bring out the entire town. Many of the town businesses gave prizes for the Animal Rescue Center’s bingo night fundraiser! The place was packed and fun was being had by all until Morgan was found dead in the back hallway! Morgan had many enemies with good reason as it turns out. But still her murderer had to be found. Brigid and the sheriff had their hands full--so many suspects and no one had seen a thing!Tracking down this killer was hard to say the least--but luck was on their side and the person was found! As usual the recipes at the end of the novel had my mouth watering!!

Thank you for another good book. I have been switching between this series and the Holly Lewis series. You are an amazing author. Please keep up the good writing. I get lost in my Dianne Harman Kindle Bubble. It’s a good escape in a World that seems to have gone nuts.

Should have been a fun night for the town raising money for the animal shelter. But it seems there is always A BUT… this time it’s a blackmailer. And a few people are disgruntled about it! The games are going fine and a few door prizes have be awarded, then some comes to the table where sherif Davis is setting and says he needs to come with her immediately. Well, you guessed there’s been a murder! Brigid and Davis begin the interviews and a few leads. But it gets tricky, so I suggest you read this one to see what happened and why blackmail😊😊

When a person has blackmailed a lot of people and that person is killed at a crowded public event, there can be a lot of viable suspects with means, motive, and opportunity! But only one of them actually did it. I enjoyed reading about the twists and turns of the investigation. But I don't understand why people pay a person who is trying to blackmail them, because blackmailing is not going to end just because you pay someone once. It was sad that the person who murdered the bad person did not just turn the bad person in to law enforcement.

I enjoy how the characters interact with each other. You feel like you're connecting with them. The side stories always add some interesting aspects to their lives. I always look forward to the next book. However, I amglad I don't live in their neighborhood; too many murders!

Once again I was off by a mile as to who the murder wax and the why! These books are quick and easy reads but they are worth the time and they are really good. I hope Dianne keeps writing the series. I like when I get to liking the people in the stories, I hate when they end, like making friends then that friend moves.

The story line was good but the people in the south do not speak the way this story was written. Over use of ya'll, jest instead of just and other words. I skipped to the last 2 chapters to find out who committed the murder. I was so turned off by the way it was written.

They get better and better every book I read. Although my dogs didn't save the day,but that's all right because the story was great anyways. Well got to go and read the next one.

I love the way you introduce us to the storyline wit a little bit of humor and suspense, with more than one suspect. I always more than one. Sometimes I am on the the target . That was what I like about your books. I actually have another one of your books waiting.😀.
