Gabriel Russo had been born under a dark cloud. He knew his history like the back of his hand; his mother made sure of that. He knew what blood ran through his veins and what it meant. He also knew that there were some with that same blood who would kill him if they could.
Born the product of a horrible act inflicted upon his mother by one of the Ricci brothers, now the adopted son of another very powerful family, he’s the heir to two of the most powerful
Familias in the West.
No one knows what this young man whose life was marked even before birth would do to survive. And when they finally do, it’s usually too late. There’s only one woman who can tame this volatile young man, and when he sends her away after high school for her safety, he loses what little humanity he had left.

I’m unfortunate enough not to be able to get kindle Vella, so having to wait for the books to come out so slowly is killing me. I love Jordan’s stories. She has a way that she connects with her readers in a way not many authors do. So what her grammar’s not perfect or her commas may be in the wrong place. She just gets her readers and her readers get her. I hope she never stops writing.
Having said that, this was my least favorite of the three, probably because the main couple is not together for most of the story. But I found Gianna’s actions to be dumb. She finally has her family back and because her boyfriend of a month breaks up with her, she suddenly takes off for nowhere and lives by herself, for honestly no reason. If she didn’t want to be near Gabriel she could have just gone with her grandmother, who lives in another state. Why go to such desperate measures, especially pregnant. That whole part didn’t make any sense to me. She’d have a ton of support with her family and they’d probably keep her a secret from Gabriel if that’s what she wanted. I seriously don’t get why she’d live in the middle of nowhere when she could be living in a mansion with all the help she could want.
And one of my biggest pet peeves in books are long separations. This one is going on over a year. And I’m sure there’s a reason why it wasn’t mentioned what and how many babies there were. That seemed weird and the wording in those parts was obviously vague, not wanting the reader to know.
Also, what made this book way different was that the first two books took place over about a months time. Lots of detail in a short amount of time. This book covers over a year and you don’t get much details. I guess the breakup book was never going to be my favorite anyway. Can’t wait for the last book!

This truly knows how to tell a story. When you start reading, you lose your sense of self; you space out and sometimes lose sleep just because you do not want to stop. These characters have a mind of their own, and the way this author chooses to weaved their story is beyond amazing. I will say this: the book does end in a cliffhanger. I know some of you don't like it, but it's worth it. I don't know what else to say about this, except you won't regret giving it a chance.

I’m enjoying the journey of Gabriel. I read one of the latest books first so I’m very pleased that these introductory books still have so much to uncover and figure out. I have so many scenarios in my mind about what’s next. On to book 3…

I was on the edge of my seat with this book. I couldn’t put it down. Gabe and Gia’s life just keeps getting more twisted. I can’t wait for the next book. Great series. I love this writer

This is book three in The Life series and I am dying g to see what happens next. Gabriel broke Gianna's heart and she did something in retaliation that he never expected. I am looking forward to reading book four to find out if they will be able to forgive each other or never see each other again.

This is getting dragged out beyond what’s even necessary at this point😩. I love this author but this particular story with it’s never ending pov’s is exhausting.
I attempted to follow along on Vella but refused to fall into the rabbit hole of books releasing a chapter at a time especially when there is no cap on the amount of “tokens” an author can require to unlock the chapter. Back to my main point the story has gotten longer than I think was the intention and now it’s chapters upon chapters that say they same things over and over again. I’m ready for Gabriel to execute his revenge and for Gianna to receive her happy ending. PLEASE 😭

This book was stronger than book 2, which spent way too long wallowing in the mess of the she-devils. The twists of this book kept me turning the pages. I even overlooked how Sheila's name changed in the middle before returning back to Sheila. I'm still interested in how all these plotlines resolve and commend Jordan Silver on being able to hold us captive for over 1000 pages and three books thus far.

Oh my goodness… I should not laugh at some of this… but man… Victoria and her mom. The medical chart was hilarious. The father’s reaction to her after her “hospital “ stay… too funny. Can I say again, if only they were adults. But the suspense, mystery and angst in the family is so page turning worthy. Can’t wait to read the next book.

Well done Jordan Silver another great book. I loved the build up from their romance in book 1 and 2 especially how Beccy and Victoria were handled 👏🏻 Bravo
This book was always going to be an emotional one for Gianna and Gabriel as Gabriel had to cast aside his love for vengeance only to realise his mistake once he did. Can wait to see how this series ends.
❤ Jordan Silver thankyou for letting me be part of your world, keep writing and doing what you do best.

1.0 out of 5 stars Really bad
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on March 19, 2022
You know what you're getting even you read a Jordan Silver book, for me it's a quick 'pass the time' read. I know it will be an unbelievable and unrelatable story about a rich controlling man and some bland young woman he has instalove with, but this one was particularly bad.

The endless narration without dialogue- sometimes repetitive was so mind numbing, the way Gabriel treated Gianni like a small child really creeped me out. Tucking her into bed and at one point getting her changed. It's weird. However the worst part for me in when Lance basically said the only people bothered by the 'N' word were people on television. If you're going to include a black character in your books, please don't make then gaslight as their whole race.

Actually the kicker was end. JS's very young heroines all have the same outcome. Heaven forbid one wanting to go to college, go travelling or get a job and just spend their late teens hanging with friends or something. I won't read the next one.
