I'm just not a fan of this type of miscommunication that leads two people away and one of them doesn't make an effort to know why. After they turned into each other's lives again, one of them could have reached out to the other and asked why, especially Grace. It took awhile for them to finally get there.

This is turning into a fantastic series. This story is that of Harlan and Grace, they were lovers as teenagers but Harlan left and Grace was distraught and in danger and married the much older Charles to stay safe. He has since died in a car accident and Harlan has returned to be part of Resting Warrior Ranch after serving as a Seal. Grace cannot forgive Harlan for abandoning her and he is still in love with her. If I say any more I’ll give away spoilers, it is well worthy read. Can’t wait for the rest of the series.

Dare I say it, but I enjoyed this even more than the 1st book. Possibly because the danger was even more pronounced than in the 1st book.

I fell in love with both Harlan & Grace. The guys from the Resting Warrior Ranch had to pull together even more in this story to prevent the loss of one of their own.

Looking forward to the next book just as much.
