This was a good installment of this series. I liked King and Kitty but for me it was missing something. King was talked up as this dark dominate guy and I just didn’t feel like that played out. I kept waiting for that side to show but never really got it. Otherwise it was a good story.

I really liked King and Kitty. I did. King was super sexy and Kitty was so cute in her nerdiness. But I can’t give it more stars because so much didn’t make sense. First, this is billed as an older man/younger woman and I definitely didn’t get that. They seemed close in age. There was no “I like her but she’s too young for me” or “the gray hair at his temples makes him so hot”… Then there was mention of disappearing girls a few times and King talked to the police but that subplot went nowhere. Maybe it’s part of the overarching plot for the series, but if so there wasn’t enough to make this book stand alone. It seemed arbitrary. I guess I would have liked it more if it were either a little longer to make these small things matter, or shorter so they weren’t included.

This was another cute read that's pretty standard for this series.

Kitty is stood up and through some mistaken identity, thinks that King is her date. He's immediately obsessed and doesn't correct her about who he really is.

My favorite thing about this book is that she's obsessed with dirty romances. She even gets him to go to a romance convention with her where everyone mistakes him for a cover model. It's some good fun.

I nice, quick read.
